The curren. study aimed to eval.ate how periodon.itis affects the n.C of the oral.microbiota. Marsh spot(MS) of the seeds is a physio-gen.c stress disease affectin. seed qual.ty in.bean.. Studies have suggested that this disease in.ol.es a n.trition.l.disorder caused by man.an.se deficien.y, but the in.eritan.e of resistan.e to this disease has n.t been.reported. A biparen.al.gen.tic popul.tion.composed of 138 recombin.n. in.red l.n.s(RIl.) was devel.ped from a cross between.an.MS resistan. cul.ivar ‘Cran.9’ an. an.MS susceptibl. cul.ivar ‘Messin.’. The 138 RIl. an. their two paren.s were eval.ated for MS resistan.e durin. five con.ecutive years from 2015 to 2019 in.san.y an. heavy cl.y soil. in.Morden. Man.toba, Can.da. The MS in.iden.e(MSI) an. the MS resistan.e in.ex(MSRI) represen.in. disease severity were shown.to be both highl. correl.ted heritabl. traits that had high broad-sen.e heritabil.ty val.es(H;) of 86.5% an. 83.2%, respectivel.. n. sign.fican. differen.es for MSI an. MSRI were observed between.the two soil.types in.al. five-(MSI) or four-year(MSRI) data col.ection. but sign.fican. correl.tion. amon. years were observed despite MS resistan.e was moderatel. affected by year. The MSIs an. MSRIs displ.yed a right-skewed distribution. in.icatin. a mixed gen.tic model.in.ol.in. a few major gen.s an. pol.gen.s.
