Knowledge, attitudes, and practices regarding Covid-19 and their relationship with Covid-19 booster vaccination status among women with infertility

Objective:To elucidate the relationship among knowledge,attitudes,and practices regarding Covid-19 and their relationship with booster vaccination status among women with ***:This questionnaire-based cross-sectional study was performed online and offline among women with infertility who visited an infertility clinic in Jakarta,*** assessed the patient’s knowledge,attitudes,and practices regarding Covid-19 and their relationship with booster vaccination status and sociodemographic ***:A total of 178 subjects participated in this study,and most participants(92.6%)had received booster Covid-19 *** the questionnaire,74.2%had good knowledge,and 99.4%had good attitudes regarding Covid-19;however,only 57.9%of patients had good practices.A weak positive correlation existed between knowledge and attitudes(r=0.11,P=0.13)and a moderate negative correlation between attitudes and practices(r=-0.44,P=0.56).Participants’knowledge about vaccines and infertility was correlated with booster vaccination status(P=0.04).Academic background(P=0.01)and attitudes(P=0.01)were also correlated with booster vaccination *** significant determinants of hesitance of receiving Covid-19 booster vaccines were high school education or below(OR=0.08,95%CI 0.02-0.36)and poor practices(OR=0.21,95%CI 0.05-0.95).Conclusions:The majority of the participants had received the Covid-19 booster vaccine and had good knowledge and attitudes but poor practices regarding *** participants had poor knowledge about the relationship between infertility and the Covid-19 *** general population should be more informed and reminded about practices to prevent Covid-19 and the relationship between vaccination and fertility to increase the number of people who receive Covid-19 booster vaccines.

BACKGROUND The four components that make up the current dual-mobility artificial hip joint design are the femoral head,the inner liner,the outer liner as a metal cover to prevent wear,and the acetabular *** acetabular cup and the outer liner were constructed of 316L stainless *** the same time,the inner liner was made of ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene(UHMWPE).As this new dual-mobility artificial hip joint has not been researched extensively,more tribological research is needed to predict *** thickness of the inner liner is a significant component to consider when calculating the contact *** To make use of finite element analysis to gain a better understanding of the contact behavior in various inner liner thicknesses on a new model of a dual-mobility artificial hip joint,with the ultimate objective of determining the inner liner thickness that was most suitable for this particular type of dual-mobility artificial hip *** In this study,the size of the femoral head was compared between two diameters(28 mm and 36 mm)and eight inner liner thicknesses ranging from 5 mm to 12 *** the finite element method,the contact parameters,including the maximum contact pressure and contact area,have been evaluated in light of the Hertzian contact *** simulation was performed statically with dissipated energy and asymmetric *** types of interaction were surface-to-surface contact and normal contact *** The maximum contact pressures in the inner liner(UHMWPE)at a head diameter of 28 mm and 36 mm are between 3.7-13.5 MPa and 2.7-10.4 MPa,*** maximum von Mises of the inner liner,outer liner,and acetabular cup are 2.4–11.4 MPa,15.7–44.3 MPa,and 3.7–12.6 MPa,respectively,for 28 mm *** the maximum von Mises stresses of the 36 mm head are 1.9-8.9 MPa for the inner liner,9.9-32.8 MPa for the outer liner,and 2.6-9.9 MPa for the acetabular cup.A head with a diameter of 28 mm should have an inner line

This work presents the development of hierarchical niobium pentoxide(Nb_(2)O_(5))-based composite nanofiber membranes for integrated adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue(MB)pollutants from aqueous *** Nb_(2)O_(5) nanorods were vertically grown using a hydrothermal process on a base electrospun nanofibrous membrane made of polyacrylonitrile/polyvinylidene fluoride/ammonium niobate(V)oxalate hydrate(Nb_(2)O_(5)@PAN/PVDF/ANO).They were characterized using field-emission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),X-ray diffraction(XRD)analysis,and Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)*** composite nanofibers possessed a narrow optical bandgap energy of 3.31 eV and demonstrated an MB degradation efficiency of 96%after 480 min contact *** pseudo-first-order kinetic study was also conducted,in which Nb_(2)O_(5)@PAN/PVDF/ANO nanofibers have kinetic constant values of 1.29×10^(-2) min^(-1) and 0.30×10^(-2) min^(-1) for adsorption and photocatalytic degradation of MB aqueous solutions,*** values are 17.7 and 7.8 times greater than those of PAN/PVDF/ANO nanofibers without Nb_(2)O_(5) *** their outstanding photocatalytic performance,the developed membrane materials exhibit advantageous characteristics in recycling,which subsequently widen their practical use in environmental remediation applications.

Comparison of sperm parameters and DNA fragmentation index between infertile men with infection and vaccines of COVID-19

Several preventive measures,including vaccination,have been implemented owing to the severe global effect of coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),but there is still limited evidence in the effect of this disease and vaccination against it on male ***,this study is to compare sperm parameters of infertile patients with or without COVID-19 infection and the effect of COVID-19 vaccine types on *** samples of infertile patients were collected consecutively at Universitas Indonesia-Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital(Jakarta,Indonesia).COVID-19 was diagnosed by rapid antigen or polymerase chain reaction(PCR)*** was performed with three types of vaccine,namely inactivated viral vaccine,messenger RNA(mRNA)vaccine,and viral vector *** were then analyzed on the World Health Organization recommendations,and DNA fragmentation was assayed with the sperm chromatin dispersion *** results showed that the COVID-19 group experienced a significant decrease in sperm concentration and progressive motility(both P0.05).The viral vector vaccine caused a decrease in morphology as well as an increase in DFI compared with the control(both P0.05).We conclude that COVID-19 has negative effects on sperm parametes and sperm DNA fragmentation,and we found that the viral vector vaccines affect sperm parameter values and DNA fragmentation *** studies with a larger population and longer follow-up are needed to confirm the results.

Vertical deformation model on postseismic phase using exponential and logarithmic function based on InSAR

The Palu MW7.4 earthquake occurred on September 28, 2018, with the epicenter at 119.86°, 0.72°. The severe shaking caused severe damage in Central Sulawesi, especially in Palu. We conducted a postseismic deformation study to determine the deformation pattern and reduce future earthquakes’ *** Synthetic Aperture Radar(In SAR) data were processed using Li CSBAS to get the time series. The time series data were fitted to exponential and logarithmic functions to determine the mechanism of postseismic deformation. The exponential model identified the influence of the viscoelastic mechanism, and the logarithm identified the afterslip mechanism. The Palu earthquake was fitted to logarithmic and exponential, but the logarithmic was more significant than an exponential *** mechanism predominates, and viscoelastic mechanisms play a minor role in this postseismic deformation.

Active tectonics of the eastern java based on a decade of recent continuous geodetic observation

The eastern part of Java Island is transversed by major faults such as Cepu,Blumbang,Surabaya,and Waru Segment,part of the Kendeng Fault,Wonsorejo Fault,Pasuruan Fault,and Probolinggo *** to the major fault,we used decomposition of identified fault from the Global Navigation Satellite System(GNSS)observation data to identify the potential of local *** analyzed surface deformation due to the effect of major fault using scaling law and elastic half-space *** investigated the possibility of unidentified fault using strain rates based on velocity vector data before and after correcting the effect of a major *** found that strain calculation for principal strain value in the eastern part of Java Island is less than one microstrain/year and the dominant one with a compression pattern due to the Sunda subduction *** maximum shear strain rate value goes from 0.002 to 0.094 microstrain/year,and the dilatation rate value ranges from-0.141 to 0.038 microstrain/year,which correlates with the reverse of the Kendeng Fault.A higher compression pattern outside the major fault in a differential maximum shear strain rate might indicate a local fault.

Anomaly detection on displacement rates and deformation pattern features using tree-based algorithm in Japan and Indonesia

Research on strain anomalies and large earthquakes based on temporal and spatial crustal activities has been rapidly growing due to data availability, especially in Japan and Indonesia. However, many research works used local-scale case studies that focused on a specific earthquake characteristic using knowledgedriven techniques, such as crustal deformation analysis. In this study, a data-driven-based analysis is used to detect anomalies using displacement rates and deformation pattern features extracted from daily global navigation satellite system(GNSS) data using a machine learning algorithm. The GNSS data with188 and 1181 continuously operating reference stations from Indonesia and Japan, respectively, are used to identify the anomaly of recent major earthquakes in the last two decades. Feature displacement rates and deformation patterns are processed in several window times with 2560 experiment scenarios to produce the best detection using tree-based algorithms. Tree-based algorithms with a single estimator(decision tree), ensemble bagging(bagging, random forest and Extra Trees), and ensemble boosting(AdaBoost, gradient boosting, LGBM, and XGB) are applied in the study. The experiment test using realtime scenario GNSSdailydatareveals high F1-scores and accuracy for anomaly detection using slope windowing 365 and 730 days of 91-day displacement rates and then 7-day deformation pattern features in tree-based algorithms. The results show the potential for medium-term anomaly detection using GNSS data without the need for multiple vulnerability assessments.
