Efficient electrocatalysts are vital to large-current hydrogen production in commercial water splitting for green energy ***,a novel heterophase engineering strategy is described to produce polymorphic CoSe_(2)*** composition of the electrocatalysts consisting of both cubic CoSe_(2)(c-CoSe_(2))and orthorhombic CoSe_(2)(o-CoSe_(2))phases can be controlled *** results demonstrate that junction-induced spin-state modulation of Co atoms enhances the adsorption of intermediates and accelerates charge transfer resulting in superior large-current hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)***,the CoSe_(2)based heterophase catalyst with the optimal c-CoSe_(2)content requires an overpotential of merely 240 mV to achieve 1,000 mA·cm^(-2)as well as a Tafel slope of 50.4 mV·dec^(-1).Furthermore,the electrocatalyst can maintain a large current density of 1,500 mA·cm^(-2)for over 320 h without *** results reveal the advantages and potential of heterophase junction engineering pertaining to design and fabrication of low-cost transition metal catalysts for large-current water splitting.

Role of Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation in the management of Post-Stroke Depression

Study Objectives: Stroke is a major neurological disease significantly threatening the human health and life with a high morbidity, disability, and mortality. Post-stroke depression (PSD) is one of the common complications of stroke. PSD has been a major factor hindering the recovery of neurological functions and daily activities in stroke patients and is closely related to the social avoidance and increased mortality of stroke patients. Although antidepressant drug treatment has improved during the last decades, symptoms in about 20% of the patients are not in remission two years after initiation of pharmacological intervention. Nowadays, non-invasive brain stimulation;techniques;transcranial direct current stimulation (tCDS) has gained an important interest in the treatment of many neuropsychiatric disorders which might be of some help in treatment of PSD. The goal of the current study is to evaluate the beneficial short term role of tDCS on post-stroke depression. Study Design: This was a randomized double blind placebo-controlled clinical trial included forty hemiparetic patients with post-stroke depression from outpatient clinic of Faculty of Physical Therapy, Cairo University, in the period between June 2018 to June 2019. All patients diagnosed as having a PSD according to the Diagnostic and Statistical manual of mental Disorders (DSm-5). Depression was evaluated by Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HAm-D) pre and post treatment and quality of life was evaluated by the Stroke Specific Quality Of Life scale (SS-QOL). Patients were assigned randomly into two groups: the study group A and the control group B. Both groups received antidepressant medication in addition to physical therapy program. Group A received tCDS for 30 minutes, three times per week for one month, while the group B received sham transcranial direct current stimulation. Using the tight binding approximation in deriving the quantum critical temperature superconductivity equation

Superconductivity is one of the most important phenomena in solid state physics. Its theoretical framework at low critical temperature Tc is?based on Bardeen, Cooper and Schrieffer theory (BCS). But at high Tc above 135, this theory suffers from some setbacks. It cannot explain how the resistivity abruptly drops to zero below Tc , besides the explanation of the so called pseudo gap, isotope and pressure effect, in addition to the phase transition from insulating to super-conductivity state. The models proposed to cure this drawback are mainly based on Hubbard model which has a mathematical complex framework. In this work a model based on quantum mechanics besides generalized special relativity and plasma physics. It is utilized to get new modified Schr?dinger equation sensitive to temperature. An expression for quantum resistance is also obtained which shows existence of critical temperature beyond which the resistance drops to zero. It gives an expression which shows the relation between the energy gap and Tc . These expressions are mathematically simple and are in conformity with experimental results.

Performance Comparison of Various machine Learning Approaches to Identify the Best One in Predicting Heart Disease

Nowadays, machine learning is growing fast to be more popular in the world, especially in the healthcare field. Heart diseases are one of the most fatal diseases, and an early prediction of such disease is a vital task for many medical professionals to save their patient’s life. The main contribution of this research is to provide a comparative analysis of different machine learning models to reach the most supporting decision for diagnosing heart disease with better accuracy as compared to existing models. Five models namely, K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN), Logistic Regression (LR), Random Forest (RF), Support Vector machine (SVm), and Extreme Gradient Boost (XGB), have been introduced for this purpose. Their performance has been tested and compared considering different metrics for precise evaluation. The comparative study has proven that the XGB is the most suitable model due to its superior prediction capability to other models with an accuracy of 91.6% and 100% on two different heart ailments datasets, respectively. Both datasets were acquired from the heart diseases repositories where dataset_1 was taken from the University of California, Irvine (UCI) and dataset_2 was from Kaggle.

Isolation and Identification of Cardenolide Compounds of Gomphocarpus sinaicus and Their Fungicidal Activity Against Soil Borne and Post Harvest Fungi

This study was undertaken to explore new antifungal compounds from the methanolic extract of G. sinaicus. Two cardenolide compounds were isolated and identified by GC-mS as cardenolide glycoside, 15-hydroxy-3,4,5,6-dehydrocalotropin and cardenolide genin, 3,4,5,6-dehydrocalotropagenin. The antifungal activity of these compounds was assessed. Results revealed that both compounds showed pronounced fungicidal activity against both soil borne fungi, R. solani, F. oxysporium, and postharvest fungi, R. stolonifer, P. digtatum, compared to the standard fungicides, flutolanil and copper oxychloride, respectively. The ECs0 values of the cardenolide genin were 0.703, 13.63 and 4.22, 8.403 lag/mL forR. solani, F. oxysporium andR. stolonifer, P. digtatum respectively. On the other hand, the ECs0 values of the standard fungicide, flutolanil, were 9.49 and 61.22 ~tg/mL against R. solani and F. oxysporium. While the ECso values of copper oxychloride were 279.94 and 187.13 p.g/mL against R. stolonifer and P. digtatum, respectively. The results showed that cellulase, PmE, PPO of the tested fungi was more sensitive than to cardenolide genin. The strong antifungal activity of cardenolide genin reported in this study indicated that has a potential to be used as fungicides.

Effect of doping concentration on the performance of solar cell constructed from (muscovite/TiO<sub>2</sub>/Dye/Al)

Solar cells were fabricated from (muscovite/ TiO2/Dye/Al), the effect of temperature, concen- tration and light intensity on the electrical prop- erties of (muscovite/TiO2/Dye/Al) was studied. The relationship between current and voltage was found to be algorism, which is in agreement with the ordinary relation for solar cells. When dye concentration was increased the conductivity, fill factor and efficiency were also increased. This result is found to be in conformity with the theoretical relations. The small energy gaps for their samples show that they are semiconductors. The maximum efficiency obtained is 33.2%.

Origin and Distribution of Heavy minerals in the Surficial and Subsurficial Sediments of the Alluvial Nile River Terraces

Origin and distribution of the heavy minerals of surficial and subsurficial sediments has been investigated in the alluvial Nile River terraces, Khartoum North, Sudan. Heavy mineral assemblages in the very fine sand fraction (0.063 - 0.125 mm) of 10 sediment samples were identified using petrography microscope. Results of descriptive statistical parameters revealed that most sediments samples belonged within very poorly sorted to extremely poorly sorted, strongly negative skewed to strongly positive skewed and mesokurtic to very leptokurtic. The quartz was the dominant in the opaque minerals in all sediments. The non-opaque heavy minerals were dominant by zircon, tourmaline, rutile, garnet, sillimanite, and andalusite. Results revealed that the ultrastable minerals (zircon, tourmaline and rutile) were found in all sediments with range from (2% - 47.36%, 2.08% - 29% and 3% - 24.99%), respectively. Garnet, sillimanite and andalusite were also found with range from (5% - 67%, 1% - 9.09% and 1% - 50%), respectively. Heavy mineral assemblage indentifies sources that are not bounded to the local origin. The proportion and presence of heavy minerals from outside source rocks indicated relatively strong reworking of zircon sand from the outer-shelf to inner-shelf as well relatively long distance of transport. Fluvial and Aeolian sediments were the dominant environments in the investigated area. We conclude that most heavy minerals in the study area are originally derived from gneisses and schist metamorphic rocks and some igneous rocks of the Ethiopian plateau.

Drought is one of the critical limitations to agricultural soils and crop *** of water is increasing due to climate change that lead to increasing threats to global food ***,ecofriendly and cost effective strategies are highly desirable for mitigating drought stress along with sustainable and smart agricultural *** aim of the study was to mitigate DS using seed priming and exogenous supplementation ofβ-aminobutyric acid(BABA)in linseed(Linum usitatissimum L.).Different doses(0,50,100 and 150μm)of BABA were used for seed priming agent and foliar spraying under three soil moisture levels viz.,25%(Sm25),45%(Sm45)and 65%(Sm65).The response variables of both experiments included different agro-botanical traits and oxidative stress indicators such as melondialdehyde content,free proline accumulation,and antioxidant defense in *** linseed plants showed water stress at Sm25 that reduced plant height,number of branches per plant,time taken to flower initiation and heading,and root and shoot dry ***,the number of capsules and seeds per capsule showed a significant decline at Sm25,which led to a drastic reduction in 100-seed weight yield in linseed plants in both ***,seed priming and foliar supplementation with of BABA(50–100μm)significantly improved these morpho-agronomical attributes in linseed plants under *** results revealed that the BABA was fully active in linseed plants at ***,the combination of Sm25 with BABA significantly improved the antioxidant enzymes superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),ascorbate peroxidase(APX),and peroxidase(POD)activity,which significantly enhanced DS tolerance in linseed *** findings might be useful to oil seed breeders and farmers linseed for breeding program in linseed plants as well as sustainable agricultural production of oil seed crop plants.

Using the equation of motion expression in a curved space proper time is a useful method to explain the relation between the curvature of space-time and the potential of any field obtained. Taking into account the expression for the Hamiltonian density, the effect of fields, as well as the effect motion, on the mass, and, their effect on energy is found. The new expression of energy reduced to the ordinary Newton’s energy expression. It also explains the gravitational red shift.

In this work, the influence of the light intensity as one of the parameters that control the solar cell is studied. The effect of the other main variables, such as temperature, rotation per minuit of the spin coating instrument, and the samples concentration, was found to be in conformity with other results, but unfortunately the intensity of light does not increase the solar cell efficiency, and fill factor, by other words it was found to play only a secondary role.
