Bread wheat(Triticum aestiuum L.),which provides about 20%of daily calorie intake,is the most widely cultivated crop in the world,in terms of total area devoted to its ***,even small increases in wheat yield can translate into large *** the gap between actual and potential grain yield in wheat is a crucial task to feed the increasing world *** head blight(FHB)caused by the pathogenic fungus Fusaium graminearum and related Fusarium species is one of the most devastating wheat diseases throughout the *** disease reduces not only the yield but also the quality by contaminating the grain with mycotoxins harmful for humans,animals and the *** recent years,remarkable achievements attained in omics"technologies have not only provided new insights into understanding of processes involved in pathogenesis but also helped develop effective new tools for practical plant *** of the genomes of various wheat patho gens,including ***,as well as those of bread and durum wheat and their wild relatives,together with advances made in transcriptomics and bioinformatics,has allowed the identification of candidate pathogen effectors and corresponding host resistance(R)and susceptibility(S)***,so far,FHB effectors and wheat susceptibility genes/factors have been poorly *** this paper,we first briefly highlighted recent examples of improving resistance against pathogens via new techniques in different host *** then propose effective strategies towards developing wheat cultivars with improved resistance to *** hope that the article will spur discussions and interest among researchers about novel approaches with great potential for improving wheat against FHB.

The proved association between the circulating tumor cell （CTC） levels and the patients＇ survival parameters has been growing interest to investigate the molecular profile of these neoplastic cells among which hide out precursors capable of initiating a new distant metastatic lesion. The full characterization of the tumor cells in peripheral blood of cancer patients is expected to be of help for understanding and （prospectively） for counteracting the metastatic process. The major hitch that is hampering the successful gaining of this result is the lack of a consensus onto standard operating procedures （SOPs） for performing what we generally define as the ＂liquid biopsy＂. Here we review the more recent acquisitions in the analysis of CTCs and tumor related nucleic acids, looking to the main open questions that are hampering their definitive employ in the routine clinical practice.

This paper addresses the design of an exponential function-based learning law for artificial neural networks(ANNs)with continuous *** ANN structure is used to obtain a non-parametric model of systems with uncertainties,which are described by a set of nonlinear ordinary differential *** novel adaptive algorithms with predefined exponential convergence rate adjust the weights of the *** first algorithm includes an adaptive gain depending on the identification error which accelerated the convergence of the weights and promotes a faster convergence between the states of the uncertain system and the trajectories of the neural *** second approach uses a time-dependent sigmoidal gain that forces the convergence of the identification error to an invariant set characterized by an *** generalized volume of this ellipsoid depends on the upper bounds of uncertainties,perturbations and modeling *** application of the invariant ellipsoid method yields to obtain an algorithm to reduce the volume of the convergence region for the identification *** adaptive algorithms are derived from the application of a non-standard exponential dependent function and an associated controlled Lyapunov *** examples demonstrate the improvements enforced by the algorithms introduced in this study by comparing the convergence settings concerning classical schemes with non-exponential continuous learning *** proposed identifiers overcome the results of the classical identifier achieving a faster convergence to an invariant set of smaller dimensions.

Development of synthetic bone substitutes has arisen as a major research interest in the need to find an alternative to autologous bone *** an ovine model,the present pre-clinical study presents a synthetic bone graft(BonelikeVR)in combination with a cellular system as an alternative for the regeneration of non-critical *** association of biomaterials and cell-based therapies is a promising strategy for bone tissue *** stem cells(MSCs)from human dental pulp have demonstrated both in vitro and in vivo to interact with diverse biomaterial systems and promote mineral deposition,aiming at the reconstruction of osseous ***,these cells can be found and isolated from many ***-critical bone defects were treated with BonelikeVR with or without MSCs obtained from the human dental *** showed that BonelikeVR and MSCs treated defects showed improved bone regeneration compared with the defects treated with BonelikeVR ***,it was observed that the biomaterial matrix was reabsorbed and gradually replaced by new bone during the healing *** therefore propose this combination as an efficient binomial strategy that promotes bone growth and vascularization in non-critical bone defects.

Over the past decades,epidemiological studies have concluded that a diet rich in plant-derived products plays a pivotal role in human ***(3,3’,4’,7-tetrahydroxyflavone)is a hydrophobic polyphenolic compound primarily found in edible plants(***,blueberry,apple,grape,persimmon,kiwi,and cucumber).Various preclinical studies have revealed that fisetin exhibits a wide range of pharmacological effects such as antioxidant,antiinflammatory,anti-carcinogenic,anti-osteoporotic,antimicrobial,and anti-diabetic ***,the pharmacological in vitro and in vivo studies on fisetin are discussed in this ***,this review would be useful for further study regarding the potential of natural products,notably fisetin,and its therapeutic potential for the prevention and treatment of diseases.

Humankind is responsible for conditioning the distribution of species, including the African elephant. From its great physical form to its fascinating social behaviour, Loxodonta africana can trigger an admiration in some and be undervalued by others, often ending up being a victim of human activities. Increasingly, the apparent impossibility of the coexistence of these two species represents a problem for the conservation of the large African mammal. Here it was reviewed the published bibliography about the African savannah elephant (L. africana), between July 2015 and December 2019. The Web of Science (WoS) database enabled the search for the words “Loxodonta africana”. From this research, we obtained 310 articles, 149 of them were analysed. Elephants have characteristics that define its uniqueness that are constantly reported, such as: its cognition and extraordinary memory, factors that influence its movements and its distribution, its specific vocalization and the strong dependence on social connections. Threats to the conservation of the species and the urgency of interventions are also an important subject of discussion.
