BACKGROUND Cannabis use has increased among young individuals in recent *** dependent cannabis use disorder(CUD)has been associated with various cardiac events,its effects on young adults without concurrent substance use remain *** To examine trends in hospitalizations for major adverse cardiac and cerebrovascular events(MACCE)in this *** used the National Inpatient Sample(2016-2019)to identify hospitalized young individuals(18-44 years),excluding those with concurrent substance usage(tobacco,alcohol,and cocaine).They were divided into CUD+and CUD-.Using International Classification of Diseases-10 codes,we examined the trends in MACCE hospitalizations,including all-cause mortality(ACM),acute myocardial infarction(AMI),cardiac arrest(CA),and acuteischemic stroke(AIS).RESULTSOf 27.4 million hospitalizations among young adults without concurrent substance abuse,4.2%(1.1 million)hadco-existent *** CUD+group,hospitalization rates for MACCE(1.71%vs 1.35%),AMI(0.86%vs 0.54%),CA(0.27%vs 0.24%),and AIS(0.49%vs 0.35%)were higher than in CUD-group(P<0.001).However,rate of ACMhospitalizations was lower in CUD+group(0.30%vs 0.44%).From 2016 to 2019,CUD+group experienced arelative rise of 5%in MACCE and 20%in AMI hospitalizations,compared to 22%and 36%increases in CUDgroup(P<0.05).The CUD+group had a 13%relative decrease in ACM hospitalizations,compared to a 10%relative rise in CUD-group(P<0.05).However,when adjusted for confounders,MACCE odds among CUD+cohort remain comparable between 2016 and *** CUD+group had higher rates of MACCE,but the rising trends were more apparent in the CUD-group ***,the CUD+group had lower ACM rates than the CUD-group.

A Comparative Study of Artificial Neural Network and Response Surface Methodology for Optimization of Friction Welding of Incoloy 800 H

This article deals with the optimization of process parameters for friction welding of Incoloy 800 H rod and compares the results obtained by response surface methodology（RSM） and artificial neural network（ANN）.The experiments were carried out on the basis of a five-level,four-variable central composite *** output parameters were the tensile strength and burn-off length（BOL）.They were considered as a function of four independent input variables,namely heating pressure（HP）,heating time,upsetting pressure（UP）,and upsetting *** RSM results showed that the quadratic polynomial model depicted the interconnection between individual element and *** optimizing the process parameters,ANN analysis was used,and the optimal configuration of the ANN model was found to be 4–9–*** modeling aspect,a requisite trained multilayer perceptron neural network was rooted,and a quick propagation training algorithm was used to train *** purpose of optimization was to decide the maximum tensile strength and minimum burn-off length of the welded joint which was done by varying the friction welding process *** order of importance of input parameters for friction welding of Incoloy 800 H was HP〉 UP〉 N〉*** predicting the model using RSM and ANN,a comparison was made for predicting the effectiveness of two *** analyzing the results,it was observed that as compared to RSM,ANN model was more specific.

Impact of global climate change on stream low flows:A case study of the great Miami river watershed, Ohio, USA

Climate change will profoundly affect hydrological processes at various temporal and spatial *** study is focused on assessing the alteration of water resources availability and low flows frequencies driven by changing climates in different time periods of the 21st *** study evaluates the adaptability of prevailing Global Circulation Models(GCMs)on a particular watershed through streamflow *** analysis was conducted in the Great Miami River Watershed,Ohio by analyzing historical and future simulated streamflow using 10 climate model outputs and the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT).The climate change scenarios,consisting of ten downscaled Coupled Model Intercomparision Project Phase 5(CMIP5)climate models in combination with two Representative Concentration Pathways(RCP 4.5 and RCP 8.5)were selected based on the correlation between observed records and model *** for three future periods,2016-2043,2044-2071 and 2072-2099,were independently analyzed and compared with the baseline period(1988-2015).Results from the average of ten models projected that 7-day low flows in the watershed would increase by 19%in the 21st century under both *** trend was also consistent for both hydrological(7Q10,1Q10)and biological low flow statistics(4B3,1B3).Similarly,average annual flow and monthly flows would also increase in future periods,especially in the *** flows simulated by SWAT in response to the majority of climate model projections showed a consistent increase in low flow ***,the flow estimates using the Max-Planck-Institute Earth System Model(MPI-ESM-LR)climate output resulted in the biological based low flows(4B3,1B3)decreasing by 22.5%and 33.4%under RCP 4.5 and 56.9%and 63.7%under RCP 8.5,respectively,in the future when compared to the baseline ***,the low flow ensemble from the 10 climate models for the 21st century seemed to be slightly higher than that of historical low flows.

Optimisation of laser welding parameters for welding of P92 material using Taguchi based grey relational analysis

Creep strength enhanced ferritic(CSEF) steels are used in advanced power plant systems for high temperature applications. P92(Cr–W–Mo–V)steel, classified under CSEF steels, is a candidate material for piping, tubing, etc., in ultra-super critical and advanced ultra-super critical boiler applications. In the present work, laser welding process has been optimised for P92 material by using Taguchi based grey relational analysis(GRA).Bead on plate(BOP) trials were carried out using a 3.5 k W diffusion cooled slab CO_2 laser by varying laser power, welding speed and focal position. The optimum parameters have been derived by considering the responses such as depth of penetration, weld width and heat affected zone(HAZ) width. Analysis of variance(ANOVA) has been used to analyse the effect of different parameters on the responses. Based on ANOVA, laser power of 3 k W, welding speed of 1 m/min and focal plane at-4 mm have evolved as optimised set of parameters. The responses of the optimised parameters obtained using the GRA have been verified experimentally and found to closely correlate with the predicted value.? 2016 China Ordnance Society. Background Soil microbial communities affect above-ground plant diversity and community composition by influencing plant growth *** studies have tested the effect of soil bacterial microbiome on growth performance of native and invasive plants,but the influence of specific bacterial isolates has not been ***,we investigated the effects of soil bacterial exclusion by soil sterilization and by inoculation of Streptomyces rhizobacterial isolates on the growth performance of native and invasive Prosopis *** Plant growth performance of invasive *** was significantly reduced when grown in sterilized soils,whereas native *** showed enhanced growth performance in the sterilized *** grown in the soil inoculated with the specific Streptomyces isolate from ***(PJ1),the growth performance of invasive *** was significantly enhanced while that of native *** seedlings was significantly ***,inoculation of *** and *** seedlings with Streptomyces isolate from the rhizosphere of native ***(PC1)had no significant effect on the growth performances either of *** or *** Our study reveals that invasive *** experiences positive feedback from the non-native soil bacterial community,while the native *** experiences negative feedback from its soil bacterial *** results provide fresh experimental evidence for the enemy release hypothesis,and further our understanding of the contrasting growth-promoting effects of differentially recruited microbial species belonging to the same genus(Streptomyces)in the rhizospheres of alien invasive and native plants.
