Exploring highly active but inexpensive electrocatalysts for the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is of critical importance for hydrogen production from electrochemical water ***,we report a multicomponent catalyst with exceptional activity and durability for HER,in which cobalt nanoparticles were in-situ confined inside bamboo-like carbon nanotubes(CNTs)while ultralow ruthenium loading(~2.6μg per electrode area~cm^(−2))is uniformly deposited on their exterior walls(Co@CNTsǀRu).The atomic-scale structural investigations and theoretical calculations indicate that the confined inner Co and loaded outer Ru would induce charge redistribution and a synergistic electron coupling,not only optimizing the adsorption energy of H intermediates(ΔGH*)but also facilitating the electron/mass *** as-developed Co@CNTsǀRu composite catalyst requires overpotentials of only 10,32,and 63 mV to afford a current density of 10 mA cm^(−2) in alkaline,acidic and neutral media,respectively,representing top-level catalytic activity among all reported HER *** current work may open a new insight into the rational design of carbon-supported metal catalysts for practical applications.

Sodium ion batteries (SIBs) are alternatives to lithium ion batteries (LIBs), and offer some significant benefits such as cost reduction and a lower environmental impact;however, to compete with LIBs, further research is required to improve the performance of SIBs. In this study, an orthorhombic Na super ionic conductor structural Fe_(2)(MoO_(4))_(3) nanosheet with amorphous-crystalline core-shell alignment was synthesized using a facile low-temperature water-vapor-assisted solid-state reaction and applied as a cathode material for SIBs. The obtained material has a well-defined three-dimensional stacking structure, and exhibits a high specific capacity of 87.8 mAh·g^(−1) at a current density of 1 C = 91 mA·g^(−1) after 1,000 cycles, which is due to the considerable contribution of extra surface-related reaction such as the pseudo-capacitive process. This material shows significantly improved cycling and rated behavior as well as enhanced performance under high- and low-temperature conditions, as compared to the same materials prepared by the conventional high-temperature solid-state reaction. This enhancement is explained by the unique morphology in combination with the improved kinetics of the electrochemical reaction due to its lower charge transfer resistance and higher sodium ion conductivity.

An approach was described to produce a wound area in vitro using laminar flow technique to selectively remove cells in micro fluidic channels. Cell migration which plays an important role in the process of wound healing can be observed dynamically by this method. In order to prove our system, we have studied its properties by injecting NIH-3T3 cells into main channel and added several reagents to observe the mediatory influence. The results reveal that fibroblast growth factor-2（FGF-2）, insulin-like growth factor 1（IGF-Ⅰ）, platelet-derived growth factor BB（PDGF-BB） and ascorbic acid（Vc） groups can promote cell migration compared with the control group. But the average migration distance was diminished in dexamethasone group. It can be concluded that this system can be used to analyze the process of wound healing.

Groundwater is an important and readily available source of fresh water in the Mekong-Lancang River Basin. With a rapid population growth and increasing human activities, an increasing number of countries in the Mekong-Lancang River Basin are experiencing depleted and degraded groundwater supplies. In transboundary river basins, such as the Mekong-Lancang River, prioritizing the use of the shared aquifer by one riparian government may affect the opportunities of other riparian governments and lead to potential water conflicts between neighboring countries. To promote the sharing of strategies and information for the sustainable and equitable use of water resources of the shared basin, international collaborative workshops on groundwater resources have been organized for all Mekong-Lancang River countries. These workshops provide an opportunity to communicate and discuss nationally sensitive issues on groundwater by the associated countries, with topics covering multiple aspects of groundwater, such as the groundwater status in the basin, quality issues, water use conflicts, hydrological information gaps, management policies and capacity building for successful water resource management. Consensus has been reached by all countries on the importance of catchment-based groundwater management and the need for close communication among the countries. Strategies for managing transboundary aquifer issues must foster international collaboration based on the regional network, influence national networks and enhance the capacity to building maps and monitoring systems based on associated databases. The sustainability of water resources cannot be achieved without the integrated involvement and contributions by multiple countries and various stakeholders. Therefore, collaborative workshops provide a great opportunity to further our understanding of the hydrologic processes of the Mekong River Basin, share the benefits of the aquifer and provide a strategy and vision for sustain

The mathematical model of hydraulic drive unit of quadruped robot was built in this paper. According to the coupling characteristics between position control system and force control system, the decoupling control strategy was realized based on diagonal matrix method in AMESim?. The results of simulation show that using diagonal matrix method can achieve the decoupling control effectively and it can achieve the decoupling control more effectively with the method of not offset pole-zero in the S coordinate. This research can provide theoretical basis for the application of test system of hydraulic drive unit.

Modelling of finger-like channelled anode support for SOFCs application

This paper established a numerical model for a solid oxide fuel cell （SOFC） button cell, focusing on the effects of finger-like channels on the gas transport process in the anode support. The current densities of channelled button cell and un-channelled button cell are compared at different operating temperature and voltage with H2 as the fuel. The H2 transport is discussed in detail, such as the mole fraction distribution of H2 in the porous layer, the diffusion flux and convective flux of ha. It is found that the performance of SOFC can be improved by 2.60 % at 800 ~C, 0.5 V, com- pared with un-channelled SOFC due to the improved gas transport by the finger-like channels. Then, the model is further extended to study 2D-planar SOFC fuelled with syngas. The mole fraction gradients of H2, CO, CH4 and CO are all substantially reduced by the finger-like channels compared to un-channelled planar cell. It is found that the SOFC performance is improved by 5.93 % at 800℃, 0.5 V, when syngas fuel is used. The present study clearly demonstrated that the use of finger-like channels in the anode support is effective in improving the gas transport and the SOFC performance. The present model can be employed for subsequent optimization of the channel configuration for further performance improvement.

BACKGROUND： Lead can cause structural changes in the hippocampus, followed by damage to learning and memory functions, but its specific mechanisms are not yet clear. OBJECTIVE： To observe long-term toxicity of high-dose lead in drinking water on hippocampal tissue in rats, and analyze the potential association of oxidative damage, cell apoptosis, and pathology. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A randomized, controlled animal experiment was performed at the Center for Medical Experiment, Lanzhou General Hospital of Lanzhou Military Area Command of Chinese PLA from May 2007 to October 2008. MATERIALS; Rabbit anti Bcl-2, Bax, and inducible nitric oxide synthase （iNOS） polyclonal antibodies were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology, USA. An streptavidin-peroxidase immunohistochemistry kit and concentrated DAB kit were purchased from Beijing Zhongshan Biotechnology Company Limited, China. Crystal violet was purchased from Sigma, USA. METHODS： A total of 72 Wistar rats, aged 3 months, were randomly divided into control, low-, middle-, and high-dose lead groups, with 18 rats per group. Animal models were established through free drinking water contaminated by Pb2＋ for 1, 3, and 6 months, respectively. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： The general toxicity of lead was dynamically observed; the levels of Pb2＋ in the blood and brain tissue homogenete were detected using atomic absorption method; pathological changes were observed using hematoxylin-eosin staining and tigroid body staining; the protein expression levels of Bcl-2, Bax, and iNOS were dynamically observed using streptavidin-peroxidase immunohistochemistry of the hippocampus. RESULTS： Lead exposure reduced autonomic activities, produced a slumped appearance, slow responses, and lusterless fur, especially in the high-dose group. The amount of ingestion and hydroposia showed a decreasing trend, especially in middle- and high-dose groups. Lead levels in whole blood and brain homogenate were higher than controls （P 〈 0.01）. In this study,12 crude oil samples were collected and analyzed from the Ordovician reservoir in the halahatang Depression,Tarim Basin,*** the density of oil samples varies considerably,based on saturated hydrocarbon gas chromatographic(GC),saturated and aromatic hydrocarbon gas chromatographic-mass spectrometric(GC/MS) and stable carbon isotopic composition analyses,all the samples are interpreted to represent a single oil population with similar characteristics in a source bed or a source kitchen,organic facies and even in oil charge *** co-existence of a full suite of n-alkanes and acyclic isoprenoids with UCM and 25-norhopanes in the crude oil samples indicates mixing of biodegraded oil with fresher non-biodegraded oil in the Ordovician ***,according to the conversion diagram of double filling ratios for subsurface mixed crude oils,biodegraded/non-biodegraded oil ratios were determined as in the range from 58/42 to 4/*** on oil density and oil mix ratio,the oils can be divided into two groups:Group 1,with specific density>0.88(g/cm3) and oil mix ratio>1,occurring in the north of the Upper Ordovician Lianglitage and Sangtamu Formation pinchout lines,and Group 2,with specific densityhan Group 1 oils with respect to *** is suggested that more attention should be paid to the area in the south of the Upper Ordovician Lianglitage and Sangtamu Formation pinchout lines for further exploration.
