Very long chain-saturated and-polyunsaturated fatty acids(VLC-SFA and VLC-pUFA, respectively) are a functionally important class of fatty acids containing 28 carbons or more in their acyl chain. They are synthesized by the elongation of very long fatty acids-4(ELOVL4) enzyme, expressed mainly in the brain, retina, skin, testes, and meibomian gland, where these fatty acids are found(Agbaga et al., 2008). Further, these organs exhibit tissuespecific VLC-pUFA and VLC-SFA biosynthesis and incorporation into complex lipids for specific functions. In the brain, skin, and Meibomian glands, the ELOVL4 mainly makes VLC-SFA, which are incorporated into complex sphingolipids. In the retina, the ELOVL4 makes VLC-pUFA that are incorporated into phosphatidylcholine, that are critical for visual function, while in testes and sperm, the VLC-pUFA are incorporated into sphingolipids that are critical for fertility(Yeboah et al., 2021).

根据采自贵州关岭上三叠统小凹组一件近乎完整的鱼龙骨架标本和一件压扁的头骨标本,笔者建立并系统描述了卡洛维龙的一个新种Callawayia wolonggangensis ***.。分析和讨论了新种与Callawayia属其他种及其在关岭生物群中共生的各鱼龙属种之间的异同点,指出新种以具有发育的上颌骨上升支,窄的额骨及其与鼻骨之间宽缓的U-形接缝与该属模式种***相区别。新种与关岭生物群中的panjiangsaurus分子在头骨和四肢的一般形态特征上较为接近,但新种的鼻骨向后延伸与后额骨接触;额骨呈槽状向上颞孔方向延伸,并直接参与上颞孔前边缘的形成,以及后部顶骨脊之下具有发育的顶骨架而易于区别。另外,新种桡骨和桡侧腕骨前边缘直的特点也与panjiangsaurus明显不同。

The development of low-temperature solid oxide fuel cells(LT-SOFCs)is of significant importance for realizing the widespread application of *** has stimulated a substantial materials research effort in developing high oxide-ion conductivity in the electrolyte layer of *** this context,for the first time,a dielectric material,CaCu_(3)Ti_(4)O_(12)(CCTO)is designed for LT-SOFCs electrolyte application in this *** individual CCTO and its heterostructure materials with a p-type Ni_(0.8)Co_(0.15)Al_(0.05)LiO_(2−δ)(NCAL)semiconductor are evaluated as alternative electrolytes in LT-SOFC at 450–550℃.The single cell with the individual CCTO electrolyte exhibits a power output of approximately 263 mW cm^(-2) and an open-circuit voltage(OCV)of 0.95 V at 550℃,while the cell with the CCTO–NCAL heterostructure electrolyte capably delivers an improved power output of approximately 605 mW cm^(-2) along with a higher OCV over 1.0 V,which indicates the introduction of high hole-conducting NCAL into the CCTO could enhance the cell performance rather than inducing any potential short-circuiting *** is found that these promising outcomes are due to the interplay of the dielectric material,its structure,and overall properties that led to improve electrochemical mechanism in CCTO–***,density functional theory calculations provide the detailed information about the electronic and structural properties of the CCTO and NCAL and their heterostructure CCTO–*** study thus provides a new approach for developing new advanced electrolytes for LT-SOFCs.

Background:Forefoot strike(FFS) and rearfoot strike(RFS) runners differ in their kinematics,force loading rates,and joint loading patterns,but the timing of their muscle activation is less ***:Forty recreational and highly trained runners ran at four speeds barefoot and shod on a motorized treadmill. "Barefoot" runners wore thin,five-toed socks and shod runners wore neutral running *** were instructed to run comfortably at each speed with no instructions about foot strike ***:Eleven runners landed with an FFS when barefoot and shod and eleven runners landed with an RFS when barefoot and *** 18remaining runners shifted from an FFS when barefoot to an RFS when shod(shifters).Shod shifters ran with a lower stride frequency and greater stride length than all other *** FFS runners landed with more plantarflexed ankles and more vertical lower legs at the beginning of stance compared to RFS *** runners activated their plantarflexor muscles 1 1%earlier and 10%longer than RFS ***:This earlier and longer relative activation of the plantarrlexors likely enhances the capacity for the passive structures of the foot and ankle to store elastic energy,and may also enhance the performance of the active muscle by increasing the storage of elastic strain energy in the cross-bridaes and activated thin.

The benefits of regular physical activity are well ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical activity(pA)into curricula within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of pA into medical curriculum,we developed a series of optional exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce musculoskeletal(MSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor would lead students through both strength and yoga style exercises,while the anatomy instructor asked questions about relevant anatomical structures related to course material previously *** the sessions,participants were asked to evaluate the classes on their self-reported exam preparedness in improving MSK anatomy knowledge,pA levels,and mental *** participants completed surveys;a majority agreed that the classes increased understanding of MSK concepts(90.0%)and activity levels(97.7%).Many(70.0%)felt that the classes helped reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the classes contributed to increased feelings of social ***,medical students saw benefit in pA based interventions to supplement MSK course *** with increasing activity levels and promoting health behaviours,integrating pA into medical curriculum may improve comprehension of learning material,alleviate stress and foster social connectivity among medical students.

The effect of the amount of Sn on the formation of fcc phase in Ti-13 Ta-x Sn(x=3,6,9 and 12,at.%)alloys was *** alloys were synthesized by mechanical alloying using a planetary mill,jar and balls of stabilized *** Rietveld refinement,it was found that the obtained fcc phase has crystallite size smaller than 10 nm and microstrain larger than *** conditions are required to form an fcc phase in Ti-based *** all samples,the microstructure of the fcc phase consists of equiaxial crystallites with sizes smaller than 10 *** largest presence of fcc phase in the studied Ti alloy was found with 6 at.%Sn,because this alloy exhibits the largest microstrain(1.5×10-2)and crystallite size of 6.5 *** data reveal that a solid solution and an amorphous phase were formed during *** necessary conditions to promote the formation of solid solution and amorphous phases were determined using thermodynamic *** the amount of Sn increases,the energy required to form an amorphous phase varies from approximately 10 to approximately-5 k J/mol for 3 and 12 at.%Sn,*** thermodynamic calculations are in agreement with XRD patterns analysis and HRTEM results.
