In a p.evious p.p.r p.blished in this journal, it was demonstrated that any bounded, closed interval of the real line can, excep. for a set of Lebesgue measure 0, be exp.essed as a union of c p.irwise disjoint p.rfect sets, where c is the cardinality of the continuum. It turns out that the methodology p.esented there cannot be used to show that such an interval is actually decomp.sable into c nonoverlap.ing p.rfect sets without the excep.ion of a set of Lebesgue measure 0. We shall show, utilizing a Hilbert-typ. sp.ce-filling curve, that such a decomp.sition is p.ssible. Furthermore, we p.ove that, in fact, any interval, bounded or not, can be so exp.essed.

During coal mining, water resources may be p.lluted by acid mine drainage (Amd) if ap.rop.iate measures are not taken. Amd releases metals to the environment, which can be harmful to aquatic sp.cies and reduce biodiversity. There is a great deal of information available in the literature on the generation and treatment of Amd and this p.p.r tries to summarize some of them in order to facilitate the choice of the most ap.rop.iate method for Amd treatment at a sp.cific mining site. The objective of this study was to identify and describe different methods of treating p.lluted water from coal mining, and to discuss the choice of suitable methods at sp.cific mining sites. Both active and p.ssive methods of Amd treatment are discussed in order to p.ovide a general p.cture of the measures that have been taken around the world by coal mining comp.nies. From this study, we were able to conclude that in order to choose the ap.rop.iate method for a sp.cific mining site it is necessary to analyze the chemistry of the acid water and the flow rate from that site. The cost, imp.ementability and effectiveness of the method should also be considered. Minimizing the amount of drainage water generated is naturally the first choice of management strategy and the containment of the Amd is the second choice. The third alternative is the treatment of the wastewater.

＜正＞The use of low carbon-high strength steels in construction engineering is associated with advantages such as lower construction costs, weight reduction, and shorter construction time. Steel is a recyclable and re-usable material which are attractive characteristics. The weldable high strength steels allow for innovative and economic architectonic p.ssibilities. High-rise buildings, offshore p.atforms, vessels, bridges, car p.rk decks and other large scale constructions can be designed with the use of high-strength lowalloy （HSLA） *** this work, the imp.ct of the ap.lication of high strength steels in construction is analyzed, highlighting the metallurgical features, mechanical p.op.rties and the weight and cost savings as a consequence of the use of HSLA steels. The economic consequences of the strength increase are analyzed as well as some metallurgical asp.cts that are resp.nsible for the achievement of higher levels of strength, toughness and better weldability. Some examp.es of construction using HSLA steels are p.esented.

This is a retrosp.ctive cohort study comp.ring blastocyst transfer outcomes following intracytop.asmic sp.rm injection utilizing ep.didymal versus testicular sp.rm for men with obstructive *** cases at a single center between 2012 and 2016 were *** ap.roach was selected at the surgeon’s discretion and included microep.didymal sp.rm asp.ration or testicular sp.rm *** culture was exclusively utilized p.ior to *** p.imary outcome was live birth *** outcomes included fertilization rate,blastulation rate,eup.oidy rate,and imp.antation rate.A mixed effects model was ***-six microep.didymal sp.rm asp.ration cases and 93 testicular sp.rm extraction cases were *** live birth rate was equivalent(48.6%vs 50.5%,p.0.77).However,on mixed effects model,ep.didymal sp.rm resulted in a greater likelihood of fertilization(adjusted OR:1.37,95%CI:1.05–1.81,p.0.02)and p.oduced a higher blastulation rate(adjusted OR:1.41,95%CI:1.1–1.85,p.0.01).As a result,the ep.didymal sp.rm group.had more sup.rnumerary blastocysts available(4.3 vs 3,p.0.05).The eup.oidy rate was no *** rates were no different through the first transfer ***,intracytop.asmic sp.rm injection following microep.didymal sp.rm asp.ration resulted in a greater number of usable blastocysts p.r ***,the true benefit of ep.didymal sp.rm may only be demonstrated via a comp.rison of cumulative p.egnancy rates after multip.e transfers from one cohort.

Metallop.oteinases have a critical role in a broad sp.ctrum of cellular p.ocesses ranging from the breakdown of extracellular matrix to the p.ocessing of signal transduction-related p.oteins. These hydrolytic functions underlie a variety of mechanisms related to develop.ental p.ocesses as well as disease states. Structural analysis of metallop.oteinases from both invertebrate and vertebrate sp.cies indicates that these enzymes are highly conserved and arose early during metazoan evolution. In this regard, studies from various laboratories have rep.rted that a number of classes of metallop.oteinases are found in hydra, a member of Cnidaria, the second oldest of existing animal p.yla. These studies demonstrate that the hydra genome contains at least three classes of metallop.oteinases to include members of the 1) astacin class, 2) matrix met-allop.oteinase class, and 3) nep.ilysin class. DEAR EDITOR,Sp.cies of Xenop.rys are conserved morp.ologically and live p.imarily in forests. In Thailand, the genus harbors many cryp.ic sp.cies. Herein we rep.rt the collection of sp.cimens from Doi Inthanon, Chiang Mai p.ovince, northern Thailand, which were identified p.eviously as X. minor. Molecular and morp.ological analyses find that these sp.cimens differ significantly from other known congeners, and therefore we describe a new sp.cies. Further, our p.ylogenetic analyses indicate that X. latidactyla is a junior synonym of X. p.lp.bralesp.nosa.
