The natural connection between the duodenum and the pancreatic duct enables a minimally invasive access to the *** this access is already regularly used,mainly for diagnostic and even for certain therapeutic *** per-oral pancreatoscopy the endopancreatic approach allows the direct visualization of the pancreatic duct system potentially improving the diagnostic work-up of pancreatic cystic neoplasms,intrapancreatic strictures and removal of pancreatic duct ***,the endopancreatic access can equally be applied for surgical *** objective of this review is to summarize endoscopic and surgical interventions using the endopancreatic *** surgery stands for a further development of the endoscopic technique:a rigid endoscope is transabdominally introduced over the duodenum and the papilla to enable resections of strictures and inflamed tissue from inside the pancreas under visual *** the orientation and localization of target structures using this minimally invasive approach is difficult,the development of an accurate image guidance system will play a key role for the clinical implementation and widespread use of endoscopic and surgical endopancreatic interventions.

Subtalar Dislocation:Long-Term Follow-Up and CT-Morphology

Introduction: Although rare, subtalar dislocations are severe injuries with long-term alterations such as clinical dysfunction or painful posttraumatic arthritis. The objective of this study was to investigate long-term morphological changes of subtalar dislocations and to correlate them to clinical function. Based on the conclusions, suggestions for therapy guidelines were made in order to improve the functional outcome. Methods: Twenty-two patients (12 with a medial, 9 with a lateral and 1 with an anterior dislocation) were re-examined with an average follow-up time of 10 years. Radiological results of a computer tomography examination of the hindfoot were related to the clinical outcome, and both were discussed in the context of further parameters, such as additional injuries, time until reduction, and post-reduction treatment. Results: Additional injuries were found to affect the clinical outcome and/or the radiological changes. Predictive factors for limited range of motion were severe skin trauma and traumatic brain injuries. Factors that predicted both poor clinical function and clear signs of arthritis included complex talus, ankle and calcaneus fractures, long time until reduction, and infection. Conclusions: In many cases, radiological results can be correlated to clinical outcomes. However, the modulating effects of additional injuries should be considered when planning therapy. In cases with additional fractures of the talus and the calcaneus, suffering pain may be reduced by an early arthrodesis of the talo-cal-canear joint. In cases involving a long stay on an intensive care unit, early functional treatment by passive motion should be discussed in special cases to improve the clinical outcome.

Strigolactones （SLs） are known not only as plant hormones, but also as rhizosphere signals for establishing symbiotic and parasitic interactions. The design of new specific SL analogs is a challenging goal in understanding the basic plant biology and is also useful to control plant architectures without favoring the development of parasitic plants. Two different molecules （23 （3＇-methyI-GR24）, 31 （thia-3＇-methyl-debranone-like molecule）） already described, and a new one （AR36）, for which the synthesis is presented, are biologically compared with the well-known GR24 and the recently identified CISA-1. These different structures emphasize the wide range of parts attached to the D-ring for the bioactivity as a plant hormone. These new compounds possess a common dimethylbutenolide motif but their structure varies in the ABC part of the molecules： 23 has the same ABC part as GR24, while 31 and AR36 carry, respectively, an aromatic ring and an acyclic carbon chain. Detailed information is given for the bioactivity of such derivatives in strigolactone synthesis or in perception mutant plants （pea rmsl and rms4, Arabidopsis max2 and, max4） for different hormonal functions along with their action in the rhizosphere on arbuscular mycorrhizal hyphal growth and parasitic weed germination.
