A Clustering Algorithm for Planning the Integration Process of a Large Number of Conceptual Schemas

When tens and even hundreds of schemas are involved in the integration process, criteria are needed for choosing clusters of schemas to be integrated, so as to deal with the integration problem through an efficient iterative process. Schemas in clusters should be chosen according to cohesion and coupling criteria that are based on similarities and dissimilarities among schemas. In this paper, we propose an algorithm for a novel variant of the correlation clustering approach that addresses the problem of assisting a designer in integrating a large number of conceptual schemas. The novel variant introduces upper and lower bounds to the number of schemas in each cluster, in order to avoid too complex and too simple integration contexts respectively. We give a heuristic for solving the problem, being an NP hard combinatorial problem. An experimental activity demonstrates an appreciable increment in the effectiveness of the schema integration process when clusters are computed by means of the proposed algorithm w.r.t, the ones manually defined by an expert.

Although low-income countries have recently seen an exponential flourishing of digital health initiatives,the landscape is characterised by a myriad of small pilots that rarely reach scaling,sustainability and wide *** case of Burkina Faso represents an exception where a digital health initiative initially conceived to improve the diagnosis of sick children under 5 has supported millions of *** aspects such as interoperability,standardisation,and adaptation to the existing infrastructure were considered as they are prerequisites for scaling;so was the demonstration of the health impact and affordability of the *** those factors which are largely documented in the literature,the experience in Burkina Faso showed that the positive outcome was also determined by the support of numerous stakeholders.A vast network of stakeholders from the Ministry of Health to child caregivers is involved and each of them could have either blocked or promoted the digital health *** to an extensive,time-consuming and tailored stakeholder strategy,it was possible to avoid potential blockages from multiple actors and gain their engagement.

Intestinal occlusion by internal hernia is not a rare complication(0.2%-5%)after Laparoscopic Roux-en-Y-GBP(LGBP)with higher morbidity and mortality related to mesenteric vessels *** our Center,from October 2009 to April 2013 we have had 17 pts treated for internal hernia on 412 LGBP(4.12%).Clinical case:28-year-old woman,operated of LGBP(BMI=49;comorbidity:diabetes mellitus and arthropathy)about 10mo before,was affected by recurrent abdominal pain with alvus alteration lasting for a *** vomiting,she went to first aid Unit of a peripheric hospital where she made blood tests,RX and US of abdomen that resulted normal so she was discharged with flu like syndrome *** 3 d the patient contacted our Center since her symptoms got worse and was *** tests showed an alteration of hepatic enzymes and *** abdominal computed tomography(CT)showed the presence of fluid in perisplenic,peri-hepatic areas and in pelvis and a"target like imagine"of"clustered ileal loops"with a superior mesenteric vein(SMV)thrombosis involving the Portal *** the operation,we found a necrosis of80 cm of ileus(about 50 cm downstream the jejuno-jejunal anastomosis)due to an internal hernia through Petersen’s space causing a SMV *** necrotic bowel was removed,the internal hernia was reduced and Petersen’space was sutured by not-absorbable running *** anticoagulant therapy was begun in the post-operative time and the patient was discharged after 28 ***:The internal hernia diagnosis is rarely confirmed by preoperative exams and it is obtained in most cases by laparoscopy but the improvement of technologies and the discover of"new"CT signs interpretation can address to an early laparoscopic treatment for high suspicion cases.

Focusing on the effect of street morphology on the ventilation efficiency,this paper presents 3D computational fluid dynamics(CFD)simulations of airflow and pollutant dispersion within urban-like three-way intersections,four-way intersections and *** steady-state Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)k-εturbulence model is adopted and eight directions of the approaching wind are *** ventilation efficiency is evaluated using the ventilation indices purging flow rate(PFR)and the net escape velocity(NEV).Results show the sensitivity of the ventilation efficiency to the type of intersection,to the wind direction and to the number of ***,the ventilation efficiency of the investigated three-way intersections is found to be better than that of the other intersections,especially when the angle between the streets is large,while that of roundabouts is also considerable,even with a similar average wind velocity,among the cases evaluated in this ***,the influence of the wind direction for the three-way and four-way intersections is greater than that on *** on the ventilation efficiency at urban intersections are not common in the literature and this work may help urban planners to better design such hub nodes of urban traffic,where traffic-related pollutants are not easily dispersed,thus avoiding harm to the health of pedestrians and surrounding residents.

In this contribution,we analyzed a pair of mafic samples collected from a recently identified shear zone and its proximal footwall from the Manicouagan Imbricate Zone(MIZ)of the central Grenville Province,Québec,*** petrochronology,metamorphic phase equilibria modelling,trace element thermometry,and electron backscattered diffraction data were used to define a Pressure-Temperature-timeDeformation path for the two *** interconnected dislocation network within titanite grains,as outlined with Kerneled Average Misorientation maps,are spatially correlated with variation in the U-Pb system but not with that observed for trace element These results suggest that the U-Pb system was decoupled from trace and rare earth elements and that deformation,rather than interface-coupled dissolution-precipitation reactions or re-crystallisation,was the main driver for this *** addition to highlighting a potential pitfall of titanite petrochronology,our P-T-t-D path reveals that ductile shear zones were active later than previously suggested within the MIZ.
