N-acetylatedα-synuclein(αSyn)has long been established as an intrinsically disordered protein associated with a dysfunctional role in Parkinson’s *** recent years,a physiologically relevant,higher order conformation has been identified as a helical tetramer that is tailored by buried hydrophobic interactions and is distinctively aggregation *** canonical mechanism by which the tetramer assembles remains *** novel biochemical approaches,computational methods,pioneering purification platforms,and powerful imaging techniques continue to develop,puzzling information that once sparked debate as to the veracity of the tetramer has now shed light upon this new counterpart inαSyn *** magnetic resonance and computational studies on multimericαSyn structure have revealed that the protein folding propensity is controlled by small energy barriers that enable large scale ***,familial mutations ablate tetramerization and reconfigure polymorphic *** this review,we will discuss the dynamic landscape ofαSyn quaternary structure with a focus on the tetrameric conformation.

We demonstrate that a scotogenic dark symmetry can be obtained as a residual subgroup of the global U(1)B−l symmetry already present in the Standard *** addition,we propose a general framework in which the U(1)B−l symmetry is spontaneously broken into an even Z2n subgroup,setting the general conditions for neutrinos to be Majorana and for dark matter stability to exist in terms of the residual *** an example,under this general framework,we build a class of simple models where,in a scotogenic manner,the dark matter candidate is the lightest particle running inside the mass loop of a *** global U(1)B−l symmetry in our framework,being anomaly free,can also be gauged in a straightforward manner leading to a richer phenomenology.

Recent developments integrating micromechanics and neural networks offer promising paths for rapid predictions of the response of heterogeneous materials with similar accuracy as direct numerical *** deep material network is one such approaches,featuring a multi-layer network and micromechanics building blocks trained on anisotropic linear elastic *** trained,the network acts as a reduced-order model,which can extrapolate the material’s behavior to more general constitutive laws,including nonlinear behaviors,without the need to be ***,current training methods initialize network parameters randomly,incurring inevitable training and calibration ***,we introduce a way to visualize the network parameters as an analogous unit cell and use this visualization to“quilt”patches of shallower networks to initialize deeper networks for a recursive training *** result is an improvement in the accuracy and calibration performance of the network and an intuitive visual representation of the network for better explainability.

As system identification theory and model predictive control are belonged to two different research fields separately,so one gap exists between these two *** alleviate this gap between them,one new idea proposed in this paper is to introduce system identification theory into model predictive *** the most important element in model predictive control is the prediction of the output value for a nonlinear system,then the problem of deriving the prediction of the output value can be achieved by system identification *** specifically,a Bayesian approach is applied for the nonparametric estimation by modeling the prediction as realizations of zero mean random *** comparing this kind of prediction corresponding to this Bayesian approach and the former direct weight optimization identification for nonlinear system,the authors see that if the unknown weights are chosen appropriately,these two approaches are equivalent to each *** on the obtained prediction of the output value,the authors substitute this prediction of the output value into one cost function of model predictive control,and then a quadratic programming problem with inequality constraints is *** to solve this quadratic programming problem,a detailed process about how to derive its dual form is *** the dual problem has a simple constraint set,it is amenable to the use of the common Gauss-Seidel algorithm,whose convergence can be shown ***,one simulation example confirms the proposed theoretical results.

In this work it is assessed the potential of combining conventional and incremental sheet forming processes in a same sheet of *** so-called hybrid forming approach is performed through the manufacture of a pre-forming by conventional forming,followed by incremental sheet *** main objective is analyzing strain *** pre-forming induced in the conventional forming stage will determine the strain paths,directly influencing the strains produced by the incremental *** conduct the study,in the conventional processes,strains were imposed in three different ways with distinct true *** the incremental stage,the pyramid strategy was adopted with different wall *** the experiments,the true strains and the final geometries were *** simulation was also employed for the sake of comparison and correlation with the measured *** could be observed that single-stretch pre-strain was directly proportional to the maximum incremental strains achieved,whereas samples subjected to biaxial pre-strain influenced the formability according to the degree of pre-strain ***-strain driven by the prior deep-drawing operation did not result,in this particular geometry,in increased formability.

AIM: To explore the way in which latin American psychiatrists approach the screening of vascular risk factors in patients receiving antipsychotic ***: This was a descriptive, cross sectional study that surveyed latin-American physicians to evaluate differences between groups divided in three main sections. The first section included demographic and professional data. The second section asked about the available medical resources: weighing scales, sphygmomanometer and measuring tape. Finally, the third section aimed at looking into the attitudes towards car-diovascular prevention. The latter was also divided into two subsections. In the first one, the questions were about weight, blood pressure and waist perimeter. In the second subsection the questions asked about the proportion of patients:(1) that suffered from overweight and/or obesity;(2) whose lipids and glycemia were controlled by the physician;(3) that were questioned by, and received information from the physician about smoking; and(4) that received recommendations from the physician to engage in regular physical activity. The participants were physicians, users of the medical website Intramed. The visitors were recruited by a banner that invited them to voluntarily access an online self-reported structured questionnaire with multiple options. RESUlTS: We surveyed 1185 general physicians and 792 psychiatrists. Regarding basic medical resources, a significantly higher proportion of general physicians claimed to have weighing scales(χ2 = 404.9; P le general physicians measured overweight and metabolic indexes in the general population in a higher proportion than in patients treated with antipsychotics(Z =-11.91; P laimed to measure them in patients medicated with antipsychotics in a higher proportion than in the general population(Z =-3.26; P lso general physicia
