organic solar cells(oScs)have emerged as a promising solution for sustainable energy production,offering advantages such as a low carbon footprint,short energy payback period,and compatibility with ***,the use of hazardous solvents continues to dominate the best-performing oScs,mainly because of the challenges of controlling phase separation and domain crystallinity in *** this study,we combined the solvent vapor treatment of cS2 and thermal annealing to precisely control the phase separation and domain crystallinity in PM6:M-cl and PM6:o-cl systems processed with the eco-solvent *** method resulted in a maximum power conversion efficiency(PcE)of 18.4%,which is among the highest values reported for sustainable binary ***,the fabrication techniques were transferred from spin coating in a nitrogen environment to blade printing in ambient air,retaining a PcE of 16.0%,showing its potential for high-throughput and scalable *** addition,a comparative analysis of oScs processed with hazardous and green solvents was conducted to reveal the differences in phase *** work not only underscores the significance of sustainability in oScs but also lays the groundwork for unlocking the full potential of open-air-printable sustainable oScs for commercialization.

BAcKGRoUND The association between the intestinal microbiota and psychiatric disorders is becoming increasingly *** gut microbiota contributes to colorectal carcinogenesis(cRc),as demonstrated with colibactin-producing Escherichia coli(coPEc).AIM To evaluate the association between coPEc prevalence and anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors with both preclinical and clinical *** Patients followed after a cRc surgery and for whom the prevalence of coPEc has been investigated underwent a psychiatric *** were compared according to the coPEc *** parallel c57BL6/J wild type mice and mice with a cRc susceptibility were chronically infected with a coPEc *** behavior was assessed using the Elevated Plus Maze test,the Forced Swimming Test and the Behavior recognition system PhenoTyper®.RESULTS In a limited cohort,all patients with coPEc colonization presented with psychiatric disorders several years before cancer diagnosis,whereas only one patient(17%)without coPEc *** result was confirmed in c57BL6/J wildtype mice and in a cRc susceptibility mouse model(adenomatous polyposis colimultiple intestinal neoplasia/+).Mice exhibited a significant increase in anxiety-and depressive-like behaviors after chronic infection with a coPEc *** This finding provides the first evidence that coPEc infection can induce microbiota-gut-brain axis disturbances in addition to its procarcinogenic properties.

In this work,semirigid linkers of the alkyl-thiophene-alkyl structure are developed to construct double-cable *** alkyl units,propyl(c3H6),hexyl(c6H12),and dodecyl(c12H24),are applied as semirigid linkers,yielding three double-cable polymers:PBc6-T,PBc12-T,and PBc24-T,***12-T which uses c6H12-thiophene-c6H12 linkers is found to exhibit the best device efficiency of 5.56%,while PBc6-T and PBc24-T with shorter or longer linkers yield device efficiencies of only 2.65%and 1.09%in single-component organic solar cells(ScoScs).Further studies reveal that PBc12-T exhibits higher crystallinity and improved charge transport,resulting in better *** work provides an approach to construct double-cable conjugated polymers with long alkyl linkers,and it shows the importance of the linker length for the photovoltaic performance of ScoScs.

Modeling the Kinetics of Moisture Desorption from Safou Pulp [Dacryodes edulis (G. Don) ***] before the oil Extraction Step

The aim of this work is to model the drying kinetics of Safou pulp with or without endocarp using a phenomenological approach. oven-drying kinetics at 70˚c, 90˚c and 105˚c were monitored using the curves given by the reduced mass as a function of time, which are modeled according to the Avrami/page, Fick and Peleg models using oringinPro 2018 software. The results showed that parameters k and n of the Avrami/Page model vary very little with fruit size and drying temperature (0.0018 ± 0.0002 k n k (Avrami model/page) were virtually identical, while b (Fick model) and n (Avrami model/page) were virtually identical for the same sample. For the Peleg model, the parameter a, varies from 0.0018 ± 0.0002 to 0.03328 ± 0.0079, with a ratio of 18.6 for all experimental conditions studied. However, with 0.977 R2 χ2 ood fit of the model to the experimental data. The same applies to parameter b, which ranges from 0.82 ± 0.05 to 1.21 ± 0.02. Thus, drying modeling by these three models can be used to describe and predict the progress of oven-drying of safou pulp.

Integrating fossils in a molecular-based phylogeny and testing them as calibration points for divergence time estimates in Menispermaceae

The phylogeny of extant Menispermaceae (Ranunculales) is reconstructed based on DNA sequences of two chloroplast genes (rbcL and atpB) from 94 species belonging to 56 genera. Fossilized endocarps represent 34 genera. The positions of these are inferred using 30 morphological characters and the molecular phylogeny as a backbone constraint. Nine of the thirteen nodes that are each dated by a fossil are used as calibration points for the estimates of molecular divergence times. BEAST is used to estimate stem age (121.2 Myr) and crown age (105.4 Myr) for Menispermaceae. This method does not require an input tree topology and can also account for rate heterogeneity among lineages. The sensitivity of these estimates to fossil constraints is then evaluated by a cross-validation procedure. The estimated origin for Menispermaceae is dated to the mid-Jurassic if the customary maximum age of 125 Myr for eudicots is not implemented. All constraints when used alone failed to estimate node ages in some parts of the tree. Fossils from the Palaeocene and Eocene impose strict constraints. Likewise, the use of Prototinomiscium as a dating constraint for Menispermaceae appears to be a conservative approach.

objectives: Atlantoaxial dislocation remains a rare and serious condition with a high preoperative and postoperative morbidity and mortality. Its successful surgical management is still challenging and gratifying for neurosurgeons. Several technics have been described such as wiring, trans articular screwing, c1c2 screwing with plate and screw introduced by Goel et al., and modified by insertion of polyaxially screw and rod many years later by Harms. Unavailability and expensiveness of upper cervical spine instrumentation device led us to c1c2 Wiring resulting in a good outcome. Finally, a quadriplegic patient with a more comfortable financial condition had ordered devices from abroad and benefit for Goel and Harms screwing technique and improved dramatically from ASIA A to ASIA E. Material and methods: This is a retrospective study of patients managed in our department by a same neurosurgeon from January 2019 to April 2024. Results: We defined 6 men and 1 woman with an average age of 33 years. Unrestrained driver in a rollover motor vehicle accident was most common. only one patient was neurologically intact on admission. Neurovegetative disorders were noticed in one patient. Dislocation was associated to a fracture of the dens in two patients. Three patients have been successfully operated with remarkable outcome, mostly from ASIA A to E. conclusion: c1c2 dislocation is a serious condition and c1c2 Wiring represents an effective and cheaper technic. Therefore, this technic should deserve consideration above all in low incomes countries when screwing devices are not available. Seatbelt should be demanded for motor vehicle drivers and passengers.

comparative transcriptomics of anadromous and resident brook charr Salvelinus fontinalis before their first salt water transition

Most salmonid taxa have an anadromous life history strategy, whereby fish migrate to saltwater habitats for a growth period before returning to freshwater habitats for spawning. Moreover, several species are characterized by different life history tactics whereby resident and anadromous forms may occur in genetically differentiated populations within a same species, as well as polymorphism within a population. The molecular mechanisms underlying the physiological differences between anadromous and resident forms during the first transition from freshwater to saltwater environments are only partially understood. Insofar re- search has typically focused on species of the genus Salmo. Here, using a 16,000 cDNA array, we tested the hypothesis that ana- dromous brook charr Salvelinus fontinalis are characterized by differences in their transcriptome relative to resident brook charr before the anadromous fish migration. Families originating from parapatric populations of anadromous and resident charr were reared in controlled environments mimicking natural temperature and photoperiod, and sampled in spring, while still in fresh wa- ter. While anadromous and resident charr showed similar transcriptome profiles in white muscle, they were characterized by striking differences in their gill transcriptome profiles. Genes that were upregulated in the gills of anadromous charr were princi- pally involved in metabolism （mitochondrial electron transport chain, glucose metabolism, and protein synthesis）, development （tissue differentiation） and innate immunity. We discuss the nature of these transcriptomic differences in relation to molecular mechanisms underlying the expression of anadromous and resident life history tactics and suggest that the anadromous charr express some of the molecular processes present in other migratory salmonids [current Zoology 58 （1）： 158-170, 2012].

High temperature X-ray diffraction study of the formation of Na_(2)Ti_(3)o_(7) from a mixture of sodium carbonate and titanium oxide

Na2Ti3o7 has attracted much attention in the field of anode materials for Na-ion batteries thanks to its non-toxicity and very low working potential of 0.3 V vs Na0/Na+.Building a clearer picture of its formation from cheap Na_(2)co_(3) and Tio_(2) starting materials is therefore of obvious ***,we report new insights from an in-situ high temperature X-ray diffraction study conducted from room temperature to 800°c,complemented by ex-situ *** were thereby able to position the previously reported Na_(4)Ti_(5)o_(12) and Na_(2)Ti_(6)o_(13) intermediate phases in a reaction scheme involving three successive steps and temperature *** and/or broadening of a subset of the Na_(2)Ti_(6)o_(13) reflections suggested a combination of intra-layer disorder with the well-established ordering of successive *** in-situ study was carried out on reproducible mixtures of Na_(2)co_(3) and Tio_(2) in 1:3 molar ratio prepared by spraydrying of mixed aqueous ***-phase Na_(2)Ti_(3)o_(7) was obtained after only 8 h at 800°c in air,instead of a minimum of 20 h for a conventional solid-state route using the same *** analysis revealed~15 mm diameter granules made up from rectangular rods of a fewmm length presenting electrochemical properties in line with *** the absence of grinding or formation of intimate composites with conductive carbon,the specific capacity of 137 m Ah/g at c/5 decreased at higher rates.
