Four new norditerpenoid heterodimers with different dimerization patterns-namely,trigofragiloids A-C(denoted as compounds 1-3)and(+)-and(-)-trigofragiloid D(compound 4)-and three new phenanthrenone norditerpenoids-namely,trigofragiloids E-G(compounds 5-7)-were isolated from Trigonostemon *** 1 and 2 feature a novel heterodimeric carbon skeleton formed by the conjugation of a tetra-norditerpenoid and an ennea-norditerpenoid;they have been identified as class 2 atropisomers by means of quantum chemical *** 3 is an unprecedented phenylpropanoid-norditerpenoid adduct with a new dimerization ***(+)-and(-)-4 are the first example of S-shaped 1,4-dioxane-fused norditerpenoid *** by the structure elucidation of compound 4,two co-occurring analogues,actephilol A and epiactephilol A,were structurally revised as a pair of geometrical isomers and were identified as two pairs of enantiomers,(+)-and(-)-8 and(+)-and(-)-9,*** structures were characterized using a combined ***,compound 7 exhibits remarkable adenosine triphosphate-citrate lyase(ACLY)inhibition with a halfmaximal inhibition concentration(IC50)value of(0.46±0.11)lmol·L^(-1),as active as the positive control BMS-303141,and a molecular docking study offers deep insight into the interaction between compound 7 and ACLY.

Lithium-sulfur battery(LSB)has brought much attention and concern because of high theoretical specific capacity and energy density as one of main competitors for next-generation energy storage *** widely commercial application and development of LSB is mainly hindered by serious“shuttle effect”of lithium polysulfides(Li PSs),slow reaction kinetics,notorious lithium dendrites,*** various structures of LSB materials,array structured materials,possessing the composition of ordered micro units with the same or similar characteristics of each unit,present excellent application potential for various secondary cells due to some merits such as immobilization of active substances,high specific surface area,appropriate pore sizes,easy modification of functional material surface,accommodated huge volume change,enough facilitated transportation for electrons/lithium ions,and special functional groups strongly adsorbing Li *** many novel array structured materials are applied to battery for tackling thorny problems mentioned *** this review,recent progresses and developments on array structured materials applied in LSBs including preparation ways,collaborative structural designs based on array structures,and action mechanism analyses in improving electrochemical performance and safety are ***,we also have detailed discussion for array structured materials in LSBs and constructed the structure-function relationships between array structured materials and battery ***,some directions and prospects about preparation ways,functional modifications,and practical applications of array structured materials in LSBs are *** hope the review can attract more researchers'attention and bring more studying on array structured materials for other secondary batteries including LSB.

Eleven organophosphate esters(OPEs)in the air and seawater were investigated from the northwestern Pacific Ocean to the Southern Ocean during the 2018 Chinese 34th Antarctic Scientific *** concentration of total OPEs ranged from 164.82 to 3501.79 pg/m~3in air and from 4.54 to 70.09 ng/L in *** halogenated OPEs,tri(chloropropyl)phosphate(TCPP)and tri(2-chloroethyl)phosphate(TCEP),were generally more abundant than the non-halogenated OPEs.A levelⅢfugacity model was developed to simulate the transfer and fate of seven OPEs in the air and seawater regions of the central Ross *** model results indicate that OPEs are transferred from the air to the seawater in the central Ross Sea in summer,during which the Ross Sea acts as a final OPE *** and wet deposition dominated the processes involving OPE transfer to *** OPE degradation process was also found to be more pervasive in the atmosphere than in the seawater *** findings highlights the importance of long-range transport of OPEs and their air–seawater interface behavior in the Antarctic.

The long-term strength retrogression of silica-enriched oil well cement poses a significant threat to wellbore integrity in deep and ultra-deep wells, which is a major obstacle for deep petroleum and geothermal energy development. Previous attempts to address this problem has been unsatisfactory because they can only reduce the strength decline rate. This study presents a new solution to this problem by incorporating fly ash to the traditional silica-cement systems. The influences of fly ash and silica on the strength retrogression behavior of oil well cement systems directly set and cured under the condition of 200°C and 50 MPa are investigated. Test results indicate that the slurries containing only silica or fly ash experience severe strength retrogression from 2 to 30 d curing, while the slurries containing both fly ash and silica experience strength enhancement from 2 to 90 d. The strength test results are corroborated by further evidences from permeability tests as well as microstructure analysis of set cement. Composition of set cement evaluated by quantitative X-ray diffraction analyses with partial or no known crystal structure(PONKCS) method and thermogravimetry analyses revealed that the conversion of amorphous C-(A)-S-H to crystalline phases is the primary cause of long-term strength *** addition of fly ash can reduce the initial amount of C-(A)-S-H in the set cement, and its combined use with silica can prevent the crystallization of C-(A)-S-H, which is believed to be the working mechanism of this new admixture in improving long-term strength stability of oil well cement systems.

NF-κB signaling has been discovered for nearly 40 ***,NF-κB signaling was identified as a pivotal pathway in mediating inflammatory ***,with extensive and in-depth investigations,researchers have discovered that its role can be expanded to a variety of signaling mechanisms,biological processes,human diseases,and treatment *** this review,we first scrutinize the research process of NF-κB signaling,and summarize the composition,activation,and regulatory mechanism of NF-κB *** investigate the interaction of NF-κB signaling with other important pathways,including PI3K/AKT,MAPK,JAK-STAT,TGF-β,Wnt,Notch,Hedgehog,and TLR *** physiological and pathological states of NF-κB signaling,as well as its intricate involvement in inflammation,immune regulation,and tumor microenvironment,are also ***,we illustrate how NF-κB signaling is involved in a variety of human diseases,including cancers,inflammatory and autoimmune diseases,cardiovascular diseases,metabolic diseases,neurological diseases,and ***,we discuss the therapeutic approaches targeting NF-κB signaling,including IKK inhibitors,monoclonal antibodies,proteasome inhibitors,nuclear translocation inhibitors,DNA binding inhibitors,TKls,non-coding RNAs,immunotherapy,and ***,we provide an outlook for research in the field of NF-κB *** hope to present a stereoscopic,comprehensive NF-κB signaling that will inform future research and clinical practice.

One dihydride-bridged dimeric Dy(Ⅲ)guanidinate complex,formulated as[{(Me_(3)Si)_(2)NC(NiPr)_(2)}_(2)Dy(μ-H)]_(2)(1Dy),was successfully isolated and the introduction of hydride bridges significantly reduces the intramolecular Dy(Ⅲ)…Dy(Ⅲ)distance to only 3.688(1)Å.To investigate the effect of such a short Dy(Ⅲ)…Dy(Ⅲ)distance on magnetism,we also prepared its dibromide-bridged analogue[{(Me_(3)Si)_(2)NC(NiPr)_(2)}_(2)Dy(μ-Br)]_(2)(2Dy),which has a much longer Dy(Ⅲ)…Dy(Ⅲ)distance of 4.605(4)Å.Surprisingly,2Dy demonstrates much larger effective energy barrier for magnetization reversal(U_(eff))and higher blocking temperature(T_(B)).The worse performance of 1Dy is attributed to the concerted effect of strong antiferromagnetic interactions between Dy(Ⅲ)ions(J_(total)=–2.683 cm^(–1))and the unparallel arrangement of magnetic principle axes of the Dy(Ⅲ)ions for 1Dy.

Bitterness,one of the 5“basic tastes”,is usually undesired by ***,abundant literature reported that bitter fruits and vegetables have beneficial health effects due to their bitter *** review provided an updated overview of the main bitter contributors of typical bitter fruits and vegetables and their health *** main bitter contributors,including phenolics,terpenoids,alkaloids,amino acids,nucleosides and purines,were *** bioactivities and wide range of beneficial effects of them on anti-cancers,anti-inflammations,anti-microbes,neuroprotection,inhibiting chronic and acute injury in organs,as well as regulating behavior performance and metabolism were ***,not only did the bitter taste receptors(taste receptor type 2 family,T2Rs)show taste effects,but extra-oral T2Rs could also be activated by binding with bitter components,regulating physiological activities via modulating hormone secretion,immunity,metabolism,and cell *** review provided a new perspective on exploring and explaining the nutrition of bitter foods,revealing the relationship between the functions of bitter contributors from food and *** trends may focus on revealing the possibility of T2Rs being targets for the treatment of diseases,exploring the mechanism of T2Rs mediating the bioactivities,and making bitter foods more acceptable without getting rid of bitter contributors.

Pyrite-type sulfides(PTS)exhibit promising intrinsic activities for oxygen reduction and evolution reactions(ORR/OER).However,their poor electrical conductivities may limit the charge transfer rate to inevitably lower ***,yolk-shell structured cobalt-pyrite nanospheres(CoS_(2)YSS)are prepared and modified with amino groups as nucleation sites for coupling highly-conductive needle-like nitrogendoped carbon via a facile solvothermal method(CoS_(2)YSS@NC).The as-marked CoS_(2)YSS@NC-0.5 shows a gap between yolk and shell,and an obvious exterior layer of grafted NC,which can provide an integrated structure,an interior place,and three exposed surfaces on CoS_(2).CoS_(2)YSS@NC-0.5 reveals higher ORR activity(half-wave potential of 0.88 V)and methanol resistance than commercial Pt/*** to in-situ formation of highly-active CoOOH,CoS_(2)YSS@NC-0.5 shows a better overpotential(244 mV at 10 mA/cm^(2))and Tafel slope(135 mV/dec)than ***-air battery with CoS_(2)YSS@NC-0.5 air-cathode exhibits good open circuit potential(1.44 V),specific capacity(772.5 mAh/g)and cycling ***-like NC layer coated on the yolk-shell structure of CoS_(2)effectively lowers the charge transfer resistance to obtain extraordinary ORR/OER *** indicates that the integration of highly-conductive carbon onto pyritetype sulfides is an effective strategy to acquire durable bifunctional ORR/OER catalysts.

To investigate the molecular etiology of low sperm quality in patients with intractable spermatocystitis,spermatozoa samples from patients with persistent hematospermia undergoing transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy and healthy volunteers were *** samples were collected from the seminal vesicles through transurethral seminal vesiculoscopy or by masturbation *** quality was analyzed by a WLJY-9000 color semen analysis *** of tumor necrosis factor alpha(TNFa)and interleukin-6(IL-6)in the seminal plasma was performed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA).Measurement of H_(2)O_(2)in the seminal plasma was performed with a hydrogen peroxide *** protein levels of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2)and phosphorylated-Nrf2(p-Nrf2)were measured by western blot analysis and immunofluorescence *** sperm quality parameters and increased levels of inflammatory cytokines(TNFa,IL-6,and H_(2)O_(2))in the seminal plasma were detected among the semen samples from the patients with persistent ***2 and p-Nrf2 were strongly expressed in the nucleus and periphery of human sperm cells,according to the results of the immunofluorescence *** protein levels of Nrf2 and p-Nrf2 were significantly lower in the spermatozoa samples from patients with persistent hematospermia than in those from healthy volunteers with normal sperm *** results suggested that Nrf2 signaling might play a role in the low sperm quality of patients with intractable spermatocystitis.
