The FOXO3a and FOXM1 forkhead transcription factors are key players in cancer initiation,progression,and drug *** research shows that FOXM1 is a direct transcriptional target of FOXO3a,a vital downstream effector of the PI3K-AKT-FOXO signaling *** addition,FOXM1 and FOXO3a also antagonize each other's activity by competitively binding to the same target genes,which are involved in chemotherapeutic drug sensitivity and *** the role and regulation of the FOXO-FOXM1 axis will provide insight into chemotherapeutic drug action and resistance in patients,and help to identify novel therapeutic approaches as well as diagnostic and predictive biomarkers.

目的:探究闪动疗法对早期创伤经历者抑郁情绪的干预效果。方法:采用单被试实验设计对一名个案的早期创伤记忆进行闪动疗法干预,结合问卷、访谈、观察等多种方式评估干预效果。使用中文版儿童期创伤问卷和抑郁自评量表筛选个案,在干预前后及追踪期对个案的抑郁情绪进行评估,在干预过程中用主观痛苦感觉单位量表对个案创伤事件的主观痛苦感进行评估。结果:定量和定性评估结果表明,个案在干预后及追踪期的抑郁情绪水平显著低于干预前。结论:闪动疗法能有效改善早期创伤经历者的抑郁情绪。

Irinotecan is the second line chemotherapy for advanced stage colorectal cancer (CRC) after failure of first line chemotherapy with oxaliplatin and 5-fluorouracil. The aim of this review is to analyse the data on irinotecan as second line chemotherapy for advanced CRC and the potential roles of the molecular markers, p53 and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) in the management of advanced CRC. Thus, the English literature from 1980 to 2008 concerning irinotecan, p53, VEGF and CRC was reviewed. On review, Phase and clinical trials showed thatirinotecan improves pain-free survival, quality of life, 1-year survival, progression-free survival and overall survival in advanced CRC. p53 and VEGF were expressed in CRC and had a predictive power of aggressive clinical behaviour in CRC. Irinotecan sensitizes p53 wild type, mutant and null cells to Fasmediated cell apoptosis in CRC cells. Wild type p53 cells were more sensitive to irinotecan than mutated p53. Irinotecan has an anti-VEGF effect inhibiting endothelial cell proliferation, increasing apoptosis and reducing microvascular density which is onlylimited by irinotecan toxicity levels. To conclude, irinotecan improves the patient's quality of life and the survival rates of patients with advanced CRC. p53 and VEGF status of the patients' tumour is likely to affect the responsiveness of CRC to irinotecan. It is recommended that studies of the expression of these molecular markers in relation to chemoresponsiveness ofirinotecan should be carried out for better management of patients with advanced CRC.

Influences of fiber length and water film thickness on fresh properties of basalt fiber-reinforced mortar

In plain mortar,the water film thickness(WFT)has been found to play a key role in the fresh ***,in fiber-reinforced mortar,the role of WFT has not been investigated *** this research,basalt fibers of different lengths were added to the mortar,and the dynamic and static flowability,cohesiveness,adhesiveness,and packing density were tested to study the effects of fiber length on the packing density and WFT,and the combined effects of fiber length and WFT on the fresh *** results showed that in fiber-reinforced mortar,the WFT also plays a key role,whereas the fiber length exerts its influences through the indirect effects on the packing density and WFT and the direct effect on fiber-mortar ***,an increase in fiber length decreases the packing density and WFT,decreases the dynamic and static flowability needed for placing,increases the cohesiveness needed for avoiding segregation,and,quite unexpectedly,decreases the adhesiveness needed for rendering and spraying *** analysis yielded good correlation of the fresh properties to fiber length and WFT,and best-fit formulas for the mix design for basalt fiber-reinforced mortar were obtained.

This paper develops a social media-disaster resilience analysis framework by categorizing types of social media use and their challenges to better understand and assess its role in disaster resilience research and *** framework is derived primarily from several case studies of Twitter use in three hurricane events in the United states-Hurricanes Isaac,sandy,and *** paper first outlines four major contributions of social media data for disaster resilience research and management,which include serving as an effective communication platform,providing ground truth information for emergency response and rescue operations,providing information on people's sentiments,and allowing predictive ***,there are four_key challenges to its uses,which include,easy spreading of false information,social and geographical disparities of Twitter use,technical issues on processing and analyzing big and noisy data,especially on improving the locational accuracy of the tweets,and algorithm bias in Al and other types of ***,the paper proposes twenty strategies that the four sectors of the social media community-organizations,individuals,social media companies,and researchers-could take to improve social media use to increase disaster resilience.

New hyperbranched poly（aryleneethynylene）s containing carbazole moieties are synthesized in high yields （up to 87%） by polycyclotrimerization of 3,6-bis（4-ethynylphenyl）-9-octylcarbazole and its copolymerization with 1-octyne catalyzed by CpCo（CO）2 in THF. The structures and properties of the polymers are characterized and evaluated by IR, NMR, TGA, UV, photoluminescence, and cyclic voltammetry analyses. All the polymers are soluble in common organic solvents and show outstanding thermal stability （≥ 430℃）. They graphitize in high yields （up to 79%） when pyrolyzed at 800℃. Upon photoexcitation, the polymers emit a strong deep blue light of ca. 400 nm with quantum yields larger than 60%.

Retrospective analysis of results of treatment for nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Macao

Background： Nasopharyngeal carcinoma （NPC） is a common malignancy in southeast Asia, however, a full consensus has not yet been reached as to the value of comprehensive treatment for NPC. This study was designed to evaluate the epidemiological characteristics of NPC and their prognostic value, as well as the long-term efficacy of NPC treatment. Patients and methods： A total of 248 patients, with different stages of NPC, were included in this study. Results： The 5-year overall survival （Os） rates for patients in stages I, II, lII and IV were 90.48%, 76.71%, 76.89% and 33.87%, respectively （P=0.000）, while the respective 5-year progression-free survival （PFs） rates were 85.15%, 72.36%, 63.88% and 26.26% （P=0.000）. The respective 5-year Os rates, according to stage, for the group that received radiotherapy combined with chemotherapy and for the group that received radiotherapy only were as follows： stages I and II, 81.67% and 79.59% （P=0.753）; stage III, 79.91% and 70.38% （P=0.143）; stage IV,, 35.22% and 0% （P=0.000）. The respective 5-year PFs rates in these groups were as follows： stages I and II, 75.83% and 74.98% （P=0.814）; stage III, 74.08% and 42.25% （P=0.027）; stage IV,, 27.31% and 0% （P=0.000）. Conclusions： Clinical staging appears to be the most important prognostic factor for NPC. As the stage number increases, both the 5-year Os and PFs significantly decrease. Adding chemotherapy to radiotherapy was not advantageous for patients with stage I or II NPC, however the addition of chemotherapy to radiotherapy significantly improved Os and PFs in patients with stage IV NPC. The addition of chemotherapy improved PFs, but not Os in patients with stage III NPC.
