Electrosorption of solvated species at metal electrodes is a most fundamental class of processes in interfacial ***,we use its sensitive dependence on the electric double layer to assess the performance of ab initio thermodynamics approaches increasingly used for the first-principles description of *** show analytically that computational hydrogen electrode calculations at zero net-charge can be understood as a first-order approximation to a fully grand canonical ***,higher-order terms in the applied potential caused by the charging of the double layer include contributions from adsorbate-induced changes in the work function and in the interfacial *** contributions are essential to yield prominent electrochemical phenomena such as non-Nernstian shifts of electrosorption peaks and non-integer electrosorption *** illustrate this by calculating peak shifts for H on Pt electrodes and electrosorption valencies of halide ions on Ag electrodes,obtaining qualitative agreement with experimental data already when considering only second order *** results demonstrate the agreement between classical electrochemistry concepts and a first-principles fully grand canonical description of electrified interfaces and shed new light on the widespread computational hydrogen electrode approach.

AIM to assess the relationship using multimodality imaging between intermediary citrate/choline metabolism as seen on proton magnetic resonance spectroscopic imaging(1H-MRSI) and glycolysis as observed on ^(18)F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(^(18)F-FDG-PEt/Ct) in prostate cancer(PCa) patients. MEtHODS the study included 22 patients with local PCa who were referred for endorectal magnetic resonance imaging/1HMRSI(April 2002 to July 2007) and ^(18)F-FDG-PEt/Ct and then underwent prostatectomy as primary or salvage treatment. Whole-mount step-section pathology was used as the standard of reference. We assessed the relationships between PEt parameters [standardized uptake value(SUVmax and SUVmean)] and MRSI parameters [choline + creatine/citrate(CC/Cmax and CC/Cmean) and total number of suspicious voxels] using spearman's rank correlation, and the relationships of PEt and 1H-MRSI index lesion parameters to surgical Gleason *** Abnormal intermediary metabolism on 1H-MRSI was present in 21/22 patients, while abnormal glycolysis on ^(18)F-FDG-PEt/Ct was detected in only 3/22 patients. Specifically, index tumor localization rates were 0.95(95%CI: 0.77-1.00) for 1H-MRSI and 0.14(95%CI: 0.03-0.35) for ^(18)F-FDG-PEt/Ct. Spearman rank correlations indicated little relationship(ρ =-0.36-0.28) between 1H-MRSI parameters and ^(18)F-FDG-PEt/Ct parameters. Both the total number of suspicious voxels(ρ = 0.55, P = 0.0099) and the SUVmax(ρ = 0.46, P = 0.0366) correlated weakly with the Gleason score. No significant relationship was found between the CC/Cmax, CC/Cmean or SUVmean and the Gleason score(P = 0.15-0.79). CONCLUSION the concentration of intermediary metabolites detected by 1H MRSI and glycolytic flux measured ^(18)F-FDG PEt show little correlation. Furthermore, only few tumors were FDG avid on PEt, possibly because increased glycolysis represents a late and rather ominous event in the progression of PCa.

Precision health refers to personalized healthcare based on a person's unique genetic,genomic,or omic composition within the context of lifestyle,social,economic,cultural and environmental influences to help individuals achieve well-being and optimal *** health utilizes big data sets that combine omics(*** sequence,protein,metabolite,and microbiome information)with clinical information and health outcomes to optimize disease diagnosis,treatment and prevention specific to each *** implementation of precision health requires interprofessional collaboration,community outreach efforts,and coordination of care,a mission that nurses are well-positioned to *** the surge of interest and attention to precision health,most nurses are not well-versed in precision health or its implications for the nursing *** on a critical analysis of literature and expert opinions,this paper provides an overview of precision health and the importance of engaging the nursing profession for its *** topics reviewed in this paper include big data and omics,information science,integration of family health history in precision health,and nursing omics research in symptom *** paper concludes with recommendations for nurse leaders in research,education,clinical practice,nursing administration and policy settings for which to develop strategic plans to implement precision health.

Evidence supports the involvement of oxytocin in social behavior. the oxytocin receptor gene (OXtR) has been associated with differences in social brain function and risk for autism. Motivated by recent work, we investigated the effect of variation in the common functional rs2268498 t/C polymorphism in the promoter region of OXtR on neural responses to fear expressions. 46 healthy subjects were divided into genotype groups of C carriers (n = 32) and tt ho-mozygous (n = 14) and neural activity was measured during the recognition of fear and neutral expressions. Results showed that during the recognition of fear expressions, the tt genotype group exhibited increased responding in the inferior occipital gyrus, considered important for face processing, compared to carriers of the C allele (P ter corrected for whole brain), an effect not found for neutral faces. these results indicate the impact of this OXtR genetic variant on individual differences in social affective neural processing.

伴t（6；11）（p21；q12）染色体易位的肾细胞癌（RCC）是一种常发生于年轻患者的低级别RCC。肿瘤通常具有不同寻常的双相型形态学，其特征为大的上皮样细胞巢围绕着管腔内聚集的小细胞簇，且管腔周有基膜物质围绕。t（6；11）（p21；q12）易位使Alpha（MALAtl）基因与tFEB转录因子基因融合，导致tFEB表达上调，进而驱动黑素细胞标志物异常表达，其是该肿瘤的特征性标志。
