Isolation of Dental Caries Bacteria from Dental Plaque and Effect of Tooth Pastes on Acidogenic Bacteria

Destruction of calcified tissue was caused by acids which are by product of carbohydrate metabolism of acidogenic bacteria consequent to dental caries. The purpose of this study was to assess the existence of acidogens potentially causing the dental caries and comparatively evaluation of efficacy of different toothpastes. The dental plaques of fifty persons belong to three age groups (1 - 20, 21 - 40, 41 - 60 year and above) were examined to identify microorganisms by the culture method. Thirty nine bacteria were isolated by spread plate method on BSMY I minimal media. Thirteen out of thirty nine, acidogens colonized in the dental plaques. Seven potentially acidogens CD17, CD26, CD27, CD28, CD29, CD34 and CD35 were treated with five different toothpastes. Inhibition effect of Triclosan and Fluoride containing tooth pastes were found more efficient. The results of the present study revealed that bacteria that commonly cause dental caries colonized in dental plaques of children and alcoholic person. Therefore, dental plaques must be considered a specific reservoir of colonization and subsequent dental caries. To reduce the dental problem triclosan and fluoride containing product should be recommended.

It is a well known fact that development of fully generalized automatic machine translation systems is still a dream that seems too far from reality to be fulfilled. A Machine Translation （MT） system with human intervention is the most appropriate way to get translation which has greater human acceptability. The main aim of this paper is to show how semi-automatic method for translation reduces the human effort, and increases efficiency of the MT system. Most of the translation work these days relates to technical material like contracts, user manual, field reports, etc. Technical translation calls for consistency （terminological, structural, phrasal, etc.） among documents and translation accuracy. Also it is time consuming and expensive to train technical translators. So there is a need for human-machine unification and this paper focuses on an approach which can help to achieve this. This paper also focuses on the need for integration of existing MT systems with tools like （Wordfast, Trados etc.） which are widely used for translation by the translation industry. Currently the approach has been applied on AnglaMT system for English to Hindi and English to Punjabi machine translation systems. This approach can however be applied to other available MT systems as well.

Mot-2 protein is shown to interact with p53 and inhibit its transcriptional activation function. Mot-2 overexpressing stable clones of NIH 3T3 cells were malignantly transformed, however, they had a high level of expression of a p53 downstream gene, p21WAF1. The present study was undertaken to elucidate possible molecular mechanism(s) of such upregulation. An inCreased level of p21WAF1, expression was detected in sta- ble transfectants although an exogenous reporter gene driven by p21WAF1, promoter exhibited lower activity in these cells suggesting that some post-transcriptional mechanism contributes to upregulation. Western analyses of transient and stable clones revealed that upregulation of p21WAF1, in stable NIH 3T3/mot-2 cells may be mediated by cyclin D1 and cdk-2.

本文对泰语“(?)(看)”进行研究,首先在《皇家学院词典》和《现代泰语词典》的范围内进行语料统计,然后在借鉴前人研究成果的基础上,从泰语“看”的词义、构成能力、语法化进行描写,另外引用“(?)(看)”在泰语中的分析结果与汉语的“看... 详细信息

本文对泰语“(?)(看)”进行研究,首先在《皇家学院词典》和《现代泰语词典》的范围内进行语料统计,然后在借鉴前人研究成果的基础上,从泰语“看”的词义、构成能力、语法化进行描写,另外引用“(?)(看)”在泰语中的分析结果与汉语的“看”进行了对比,并归纳了两种语言的异同点。论文共分为六章:第一章为绪论,介绍本文的研究目的及意义、相关研究综述和研究方法。第二章分析了泰语“(?)(看)”的词义。首先“(?)(看)”表示用眼睛看,主要使视线接触人、动物和物体,后来派生出很多其他的语义。除了“(?)(看)”的类词有41个词,且将泰语中与用视线接触有关的词语分为“(?)(看)”的基本义场和5类子场。第三章分析了泰语“(?)(看)”的构成能力。分为动宾式、主从式和并列式。第四章分析了泰语“(?)(看)”的语法化,分为三个阶段。一是当“(?)(看)”在泰语中作为动词,意为使视线接触任何事物,具有实义,表示“(?)(看)”的意思。二是当“(?)(看)”放在动词或动词短语之后则发展成为表示泰语尝试态语助词。三是当“(?)(看)”前面为第二人称代词时,表示说者希望引起听者对说者正提到的事情的兴趣。第五章从词义、构成能力和语法化三个方面对泰语“(?)(看)”和汉语“看”进行研究,并找出两种语言的异同之处。研究结果表明,汉语“看”的词义、构成能力和语法化皆比泰语“(?)(看)”更为丰富。第六章为结语,总结全文,说明本文不足之处,并进行展望。希望本研究有利于解决泰国学生和中国学生在语言学习中遇到的问题,对中泰两国学习对方的语言有所帮助。

The present work was undertaken to study the effects of 28-homobrassinolide on growth, stress markers, antioxidative enzyme [superoxide dismutase (EC 1.***.1.1), guaiacol peroxidase (EC 1.***.1.7), catalase (EC 1.***.1.6) ] activities and protein content in 10 days old seedlings of Brassica juncea L. treated with different degrees (4°C, 44°C) of temperature. 28-homobrassinolide at 10-9 M concentration lowered temperature stress. Different degrees of temperature treatment alone decreased the enzyme activities and protein concentration of seedlings. However, pre-sowing treatments of 28-homobrassinolide lowered the temperature stress and enhanced the contents of MDA and proline, activities of enzymes and protein concentration of seedlings.

Continuous revision of the histologic and stage-wise classification of lung cancer by the World Health Organization (WHO) provides the foundation for therapeutic advances by promoting molecular targeted and immunotherapies and ensuring accurate diagnosis. Cancer epidemiologic data provide helpful information for cancer prevention, diagnosis, and management, supporting health-care interventions. Global cancer mortality projections from 2016 to 2060 show that cancer will overtake ischemic heart diseases (IHD) as the leading cause of death (18.9 million) immediately after 2030, surpassing non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC), which accounts for 85 percent of lung cancers. The clinical stage at the diagnosis is the main prognostic factor in NSCLC therapies. Advanced early diagnostic methods are essential as the initial stages of cancer show reduced mortality compared to the advanced stages. Sophisticated approaches to proper histological classification and NSCLC management have improved clinical efficiency. Although immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) and targeted molecular therapies have refined the therapeutic management of late-stage NSCLC, the specificity and sensitivity of cancer biomarkers should be improved by focusing on prospective studies, followed by their use as therapeutic tools. The liquid biopsy candidates such as circulating tumor cells (CTCs), circulating cell-free tumor DNA (cfDNA), tumor educated platelets (TEP), and extracellular vesicles (EVs) possess cancer-derived biomolecules and aid in tracing: driver mutations leading to cancer, acquired resistance caused by various generations of therapeutic agents, refractory disease, prognosis, and surveillance.
