Investigating the elliptic anisotropy of identified particles in p-Pb collisions with a multi-phase transport model

The elliptic azimuthal anisotropy coefficient(v_(2))of the identified particles at midrapidity(|η|rential v_(2)based on the advanced flow extraction method of light flavor hadrons(pions,kaons,protons,andΛ)in small collision systems were extended to a wider transverse momentum(p_(T))range of up to 8 GeV/c for the first *** string-melting version of the AMPT model provides a good description of the measured p_(T)-differential v_(2)of the mesons but exhibits a slight deviation from the baryon v_(2).In addition,we observed the features of mass ordering at low p_(T)and the approximate number-of-constituentquark(NCQ)scaling at intermediate p_(T).Moreover,we demonstrate that hadronic rescattering does not have a significant impact on v_(2)in p-Pb collisions for different centrality selections,whereas partonic scattering dominates in generating the elliptic anisotropy of the final *** study provides further insight into the origin of collective-like behavior in small collision systems and has referential value for future measurements of azimuthal anisotropy.

Jet shape modification at LHC energies by JEWEL

Jet shape measurements are employed to explore the microscopic evolution mechanisms of parton-medium interaction in ultra-relativistic heavy-ion collisions. In this study, jet shape modifications are quantified in terms of the fragmentation function F(z), relative momentum p_T^(rel), density of charged particles p(r), jet angularity girth, jet momentum dispersion p_T^(disp),and LeS ub for proton-proton(pp) collisions at 0.9, 2.76. 5.02, 7,and 13 TeV, as well as for lead-lead collisions at 2.76 TeV and 5.02 TeV by JEWEL. A differential jet shape parameter Dgirth is proposed and studied at a smaller jet radius r < 0.3. The results indicate that the medium has the dominant effect on jet shape modification, which also has a weak dependence on the center-of-mass energy. Jet fragmentation is enhanced significantly at very low z < 0.02, and fragmented jet constituents are linearly spread to larger jet-radii for p_T^(rel) < 1. The waveform attenuation phenomena is observed in p_T^(rel),girth, and Dgirth distributions. The results obtained for D_(girth) from pp to Pb + Pb, where the wave-like distribution in pp collision is ahead of Pb + Pb collisions at small jetradii, indicates a strong medium effect.

Effects of the nozzle structure and fluidized gas composition on the gas-particle two-phase jet characteristic in a powder fuel scramjet

The interaction between nozzle design and fluidization gas composition significantly influences the dynamics within a powder fuel scramjet's combustion *** investigate this relationship,an experimental study utilized high-speed shadow imaging technology to explore the macroscopic aspects of powder fuel *** investigation examined various convergence angles,nozzle throat lengths,and fluidized gas *** findings include:During jet development,powder fuel initially concentrates near the axis,with non-convergence angle nozzles exhibiting longer concentrated distribution periods than convergence angle *** nozzle convergence angles lead to increased penetration distance,frontal velocity,and radial diffusion distance during the initial stages of jet ***,stable jet shapes show larger divergence angles as nozzle convergence angle decreases,with the largest divergence angle observed atα=60°.In the initial 0-7 ms of jet development,the powder fuel jet demonstrates greater penetration distance and frontal velocity under certain ***,penetration distance and frontal velocity increase with throat length from 7 to 20 ms,accompanied by changes in divergence ***,at a throat length(l)of 2 mm,the near-field divergence angle measures 46.50°,and the far-field divergence angle is 22.25°.Conversely,at l=8mm,the near-field divergence angle is 33.49°,and the far-field divergence angle is 23.21°.The fluidization gas composition minimally affects jet penetration distance and frontal velocity during the initial 0-3 ***,due to hydrogen's low density,hydrogen/powder fuel jets exhibit shorter distances and velocities compared to nitrogen/powder fuel *** fluidization also results in larger divergence angles,particularly in the near *** findings underscore the importance of nozzle design and fluidization gas composition in optimizing scramjet performance and efficiency.

Developing bimetallic catalysts is an effective strategy for enhancing the activity and selectivity of electrochemical CO_(2) reduction reactions,where understanding the structure-activity relationship is essential for catalyst ***,we prepared two Cu-Ag bimetallic catalysts with Ag nanoparticles attached to the top or the bottom of Cu *** tested in a flow cell,the Cu-Ag catalyst with Ag nanoparticles on the bottom achieved a faradaic efficiency of 54%for ethylene production,much higher than the catalyst with Ag nanoparticles on the *** catalysts were further studied in the H-cell and zero-gap MEA *** was found that placing the two metals in the intensified reaction zone is crucial to triggering the tandem reaction of bimetallic *** work elucidates the structure-activity relationship of bimetallic catalysts for CO_(2) reduction and demonstrates the importance of considering both catalyst structures and cell characteristics to achieve high activity and selectivity.

Hierarchical Controller Synthesis Under Linear Temporal Logic Specifications Using Dynamic Quantization

NIR-IIb-triggered photodynamic therapy combined with chemotherapy platform based on rare-earth-doped nanoparticles

Research progress of slippage characteristic and gas film stability enhancement methods on biomimetic hydrophobic surfaces

The biomimetic hydrophobic surface is a potentially efficient underwater drag reduction method and the drag reduction mechanism of this kind of surface comes from the interfacial *** now,it is a hotspot to grasp the slippage characteristic and explore slippage enhancement *** paper not only summarizes our numerical simulation and experimental results of slippage characteristic at the solid-liquid interface(SLI)of hydrophobic surfaces(HS)and the gas-liquid interface(GLI)of superhydrophobic surfaces(SHS)in recent years,but also introduces some innovative methods that can effectively improve the gas film stability and drag reduction effect of ***,we used the molecular dynamics(MD)simulation method to figure out the effect of the solid-liquid interaction strength,the system temperature and the shear rate on the slippage of SLI,and expound their action mechanism from molecular ***,by MD and multibody dissipative particle dynamics(MDPD)method,the slippage behavior at the GLI was studied under the influence of the microstructure size and the flow driving *** proposed a new kind of hybrid slip boundary condition model to describe the slippage characteristic on *** addition,we found through experiment that a three-dimensional backflow will appear on the GLI under the interfacial adsorption of surfactants,and the backflow direction will reverse with the change of GLI ***,we put forward the wettability step structure and gas injection method to enhance the stability and drag reduction effect of the gas film on SHS.

Synthesis of porous flower-like SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) microstructures with excellent sensing performances for volatile organic compounds

Porous flower-like SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) microstructures self-assembled by uniform nanosheets were synthesized using a hydrothermal process followed by calcination,and the sensing performance was measured when a gas sensor,based on such microstructures,was exposed to various volatile organic compound(VOC)*** response value was found to reach as high as 100.1 when the SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) sensor was used to detect 100 ppm formaldehyde gas,much larger than those of other tested VOC gases,indicating the high gas sensitivity possessed by this sensor especially in the detection of formaldehyde ***,the response/recovery process was fast with the response time and recovery time of only 13 and 21 s,*** excellent gas sensing performance derive from the advantages of SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3),such as abundant n-n heterojunctions built at the interface,high available specific surface area,abundant porosity,large pore size,and rich reactive oxygen species,as well as joint effects arising from SnO_(2) and CdSnO_(3),suggesting that such porous flower-like SnO_(2)/CdSnO_(3) microstructures composed of nanosheets have a high potential for developing gas sensors.

Large angle radiation effect on jet measurement in pp collisions at s^(1/2)=7 TeV at the LHC

Jet measurement is an ideal probe to explore the properties of the hot dense matter created in ultra- relativistic heavy-ion collisions. Recent results at the LHC show that large angle radiation is non-negligible, but the mechanisms and phenomenology of large angle radiation are still unclear and hotly debated. Considering the coexistence and competition of different physics mechanisms qualitatively, it is assumed that the radiation angle is enhanced randomly over a wide range based on the collinear approximation. Its effects on di-jet momentum imbalance, jet fragmentation function and jet shape are studied in pp collisions at 7 TeV. The results show that di-jet asymmetry is insensitive to large angle radiation, while jet shape and jet fragmentation functions are more sensitive and could explain experimental data well. We conclude that de-collimated radiation cannot be ignored for soft jets, and there is a contribution from large angle radiation （Ф 〉 0.7） of about 8%, which is significant for jet intrinsic structure measurement at PT,jeT 〈80 GeV/c.

Mixed D-vine copula-based conditional quantile model for stochastic monthly streamflow simulation

Copula functions have been widely used in stochastic simulation and prediction of ***,existing models are usually limited to single two-dimensional or three-dimensional copulas with the same bivariate block for all *** address this limitation,this study developed a mixed D-vine copula-based conditional quantile model that can capture temporal *** model can generate streamflow by selecting different historical streamflow variables as the conditions for different months and by exploiting the conditional quantile functions of streamflows in different months with mixed D-vine *** up-to-down sequential method,which couples the maximum weight approach with the Akaike information criteria and the maximum likelihood approach,was used to determine the structures of multivariate Dvine *** developed model was used in a case study to synthesize the monthly streamflow at the Tangnaihai hydrological station,the inflow control station of the Longyangxia Reservoir in the Yellow River *** results showed that the developed model outperformed the commonly used bivariate copula model in terms of the performance in simulating the seasonality and interannual variability of *** model provides useful information for water-related natural hazard risk assessment and integrated water resources management and utilization.
