For zone-melted （ZM） bismuth telluride-based alloys, which are widely commercially available for solidstate cooling and low-temperature power generation around room temperature, introducing point defects is the chief approach to improve their thermoelectric performance. Herein, we report the multiple effects of Se doping on thermoelectric performance of p-type Bi0.5Sb1,5Te3-xSex ＋ 3 wt% Te ZM ingots, which increases carrier concentration, reduces lattice thermal conductivity and deteriorates the carrier mobility. As a result, the peak figure of merit （ZT） is shifted to a higher temperature and a high ZT 1.2 at 350 K is obtained, due to the reduced thermal conductivity and suppressed intrinsic conduction. Further, decreasing Sb content is followed to optimize the room temperature performance and a ZT - 1.1 at 300 K is obtained. These results are significant for designing and optimizing the thermoelectric performance of commercial Bi0.5Sb1.5Te3＋ 3 wt% Te ZM alloys.

Maximizing conditional independence for unsupervised domain adaptation

Unsupervised domain adaptation(UDA) studies how to transfer a learner from a labeled source domain to an unlabeled target domain with different distributions. Existing methods mainly focus on matching marginal distributions of the source and target domains, which probably leads to a misalignment of samples from the same class but different domains. In this paper, we tackle this misalignment issue by achieving the class-conditioned transferring from a new perspective. Specifically, we propose a method named maximizing conditional independence(MCI) for UDA, which maximizes the conditional independence of feature and domain given class in the reproducing kernel Hilbert spaces. The optimization of conditional independence can be viewed as a surrogate for minimizing class-wise mutual information between feature and domain. An interpretable empirical estimation of the conditional dependence measure is deduced and connected with the unconditional case. Besides, we provide an upper bound on the target error by taking the class-conditional distribution into account, which provides a new theoretical insight for class-conditioned transferring. Extensive experiments on six benchmark datasets and various ablation studies validate the effectiveness of the proposed model in dealing with UDA.

The reliability and safety of fuel cell vehicle are crucial for the daily operation. Insulation resistance serves as a crucial index of vehicle reliability, especially when fuel cells operate at high voltages. Low insulation resistance can lead to vehicle malfunctions, exposing the operator to the risk of electric shock. In this study, long-term insulation resistance data from thirteen vehicles equipped with three different types of fuel cell systems are analyzed to diagnose possible low insulation resistance issues. For this purpose, a robust locally weighted scatterplot smoothing method is utilized to filter the original data. In this research, an insulation variation model is developed using a data-driven long short-term memory neural network to identify insulation resistance value anomalies caused by deionizer failure. The results indicate that the coefficient of determination of the failure model is 99.78 %. Moreover, current model efficiently identifies insulation faults resulting from reliability issues, such as conductivity issues of cooling pipes and erosion of vehicle wiring harnesses.

Although pseudocapacitive manganese dioxide(MnO_(2))integrates the high-power merit of carbonaceous materials with the high-energy merit of battery-type materials,it still has a long way to go in achieving a more satisfactory balance of higher energy and power density,and in decoupling the relationship of structural characteristics with energy storage *** realize such goals,a bottom-up[WO_(6)]-perturbed[MnO_(6)]assembly strategy has been developed here due to their similar structure,yet mismatched lattice *** facile protocol is capable of finely controlling the morphology and crystal structure of MnO_(2)by adjusting its internal[WO_(6)]***,the as-prepared W_xMnO_(2)is treated as an ideal platform to scrutinize the correlations of the structure with the energy storage *** operando Raman spectra and finite element analysis have fully demonstrated the superiority of the locally ordered defects-enriched structure of W_(0.02)-MnO_(2),which could reach a favorable balance between the ion diffusion equilibrium time and the number of active *** a result,the W_(0.02)-MnO_(2)is able to deliver a high capacitance of 292 F·g^(-1)at a current density of 1 A·g^(-1)and a remarkable rate performance with a 60%capacity retention at a current density of 50 A·g^(-1).The further unveiled structure-performance relationship provides a guideline for the design of better pseudocapacitive energy storage devices.

Short-Term Household Load Forecasting Based on Attention Mechanism and CNN-ICPSO-LSTM

Accurate load forecasting forms a crucial foundation for implementing household demand response plans andoptimizing load scheduling. When dealing with short-term load data characterized by substantial fluctuations,a single prediction model is hard to capture temporal features effectively, resulting in diminished predictionaccuracy. In this study, a hybrid deep learning framework that integrates attention mechanism, convolution neuralnetwork (CNN), improved chaotic particle swarm optimization (ICPSO), and long short-term memory (LSTM), isproposed for short-term household load forecasting. Firstly, the CNN model is employed to extract features fromthe original data, enhancing the quality of data features. Subsequently, the moving average method is used for datapreprocessing, followed by the application of the LSTM network to predict the processed data. Moreover, the ICPSOalgorithm is introduced to optimize the parameters of LSTM, aimed at boosting the model’s running speed andaccuracy. Finally, the attention mechanism is employed to optimize the output value of LSTM, effectively addressinginformation loss in LSTM induced by lengthy sequences and further elevating prediction accuracy. According tothe numerical analysis, the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed hybrid model have been verified. It canexplore data features adeptly, achieving superior prediction accuracy compared to other forecasting methods forthe household load exhibiting significant fluctuations across different seasons.

Lariat RNA is concomitantly produced by excised intron during RNA splicing,which is usually debranched by DBR1,an RNA debranching ***,increasing evidence showed that some lariat RNA could escape *** is known about how and why these lariat RNAs could be *** comparing the atlas of lariat RNAs between the non-dividing cell(mature pollen)and three actively dividing tissues(young shoot apex,young seeds,and young roots),we identified hundreds to thousands of lariat RNA naturally retained in each tissue,and the incidence of lariat RNA retention is much less in shoot apex while much more in *** lariat RNAs derived from the same intron or different lariat RNAs from the same pre-m RNA could be retained in one tissue while degraded in the other *** deciphering lariat RNA sequences,we identified an AG-rich(RAAAAVAAAR)motif and a UC-rich(UCUCUYUCUC)motif for pollen-specific and the other three tissues-retained lariat RNAs,*** of the pollen-specific AG-rich motif indeed enhanced lariat RNA retention in ***,hundreds of lariat RNAs harbored mi RNA binding sites,and dual-luciferase reporter assay showed that these natural lariat RNAs had the potential to protect expression of mi RNA target ***,our results uncover that selective retention of lariat RNA is an actively regulatory process,and provide new insights into understanding how lariat RNA metabolism may impact mi RNA activity.

Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is a highly heterogeneous tumor,with dynamic equilibrium and complex interplay between its intricate tumor nature and ambient tumor immune microenvironment(TIME).1 Elegant research has indicated that cancer stem cells,a small subset of neoplastic cells confined within dedicated niches,display stem cell-like properties and interact with cells in TIME,thereby imparting an indelible impact on stemness regulation,tumor heterogeneity,and cancer cell plasticity.2 Previous taxonomies solely from the perspective of stemness or TIME may introduce some degree of bias in the comprehension of HCC carcinogenesis,3,4 and thus it is of paramount importance to systematically consider tumor stemness and TIME as a whole to truly portray the biological landscape of HCC.

With the expansion and implementation of rural revitalization strategies,there is a constant need for new energy sources for the construction of new ***,integrated energy systems with the interconnection and interaction of multiple energy sources are developing *** energy,a renewable green energy source with low pollution and wide distribution,has significant application potential in integrated energy *** the application of biomass energy in townships,this study established an integrated biomass energy system and proposed a model to optimize its *** economic cost and highest clean energy utilization rate were considered as the objective *** addition,a plan was suggested to adjust the heat-electricity ratio based on the characteristics of the combined heat and power of the ***,a simulation analysis conducted for a town in China was discussed,demonstrating that the construction of a township integrated-energy system and the use of biomass can significantly reduce operating costs and improve the energy utilization ***,by adjusting the heat-electricity ratio,the economic cost was further reduced by 6.70%,whereas the clean energy utilization rate was increased by 5.14%.
