Lithium metal batteries(LMBs)are emerging as a promising energy storage solution owing to their high energy density and specific ***,the non-uniform plating of lithium and the potential rupture of the solid-electrolyte interphase(SEI)during extended cycling use may result in dendrite growth,which can penetrate the separator and pose significant short-circuit *** a stable SEI is essential for the long-term operation of the ***-rich SEI has garnered significant attention for its ability to effectively passivate electrodes,regulate lithium deposition,and inhibit electrolyte *** the structural components and preparation methods of existing fluorinated SEI is crucial for optimizing lithium metal anode *** paper reviews the research on optimizing LiF passivation interfaces to protect lithium metal *** focuses on four types of compositions in fluorinated SEI that work synergistically to enhance SEI *** instance,combining compounds with LiF can further enhance the mechanical strength and ionic conductivity of the *** metals with LiF significantly improves electrochemical performance at the SEI/anode interface,with a necessary focus on reducing electron tunneling ***,incorporating polymers with LiF offers balanced improvements in interfacial toughness and ionic conductivity,though maintaining structural stability over long cycles remains a critical area for future *** alloys combined with LiF increase surface energy and lithium affinity,challenges such as dendrite growth and volume expansion *** summary,this paper emphasizes the crucial role of interfacial structures in LMBs and offers comprehensive guidance for future design and development efforts in battery technology.

Effects of projectile parameters on the momentum transfer and projectile melting during hypervelocity impact

Cells are the fundamental units of biological systems and exhibit unique development trajectories and molecular features. Our exploration of how the genomes orchestrate the formation and maintenance of each cell, and control the cellular phenotypes of various organismsis, is both captivating and intricate. Since the inception of the first single-cell RNA technology, technologies related to single-cell sequencing have experienced rapid advancements in recent years. These technologies have expanded horizontally to include single-cell genome, epigenome,proteome, and metabolome, while vertically, they have progressed to integrate multiple omics data and incorporate additional information such as spatial sc RNA-seq and CRISPR screening. Single-cell omics represent a groundbreaking advancement in the biomedical field,offering profound insights into the understanding of complex diseases, including cancers. Here, we comprehensively summarize recent advances in single-cell omics technologies, with a specific focus on the methodology section. This overview aims to guide researchers in selecting appropriate methods for single-cell sequencing and related data analysis.

Three dimensional dendritic morphology and orientation transition induced by high static magnetic field in directionally solidified Al-10wt.%Zn alloy

Effect of high static magnetic field on the dendritic morphology and growth direction in directionally solidified Al-10 wt.%Zn alloy were studied by three-dimensional(3D) X-ray micro-computed tomography, Electron Back-scattered Diffraction(EBSD) and X-ray Diffraction(XRD). The application of high static axial magnetic field(5T) during directional solidification was found to destabilize the solid/liquid interface and cause the growth direction of dendrite deviate from thermal gradient, leading to irregular solid/liquid interfacial shape and cellular to dendritic morphology transition. The thermoelectric magnetic convection(TEMC) caused by the interaction of thermoelectric effect and magnetic field was supposed to be responsible for the transition. In addition, the EBSD and XRD results confirm that the preferred growth direction of α-Al was found to transform from the traditionally expected to. The dendrite orientation transition(DOT) in Al-10 wt.%Zn alloy can be attributed to the effect of applied magnetic field on the anisotropy of crystal during solidification. The result indicates the potential application of high static magnetic field in altering the morphology and preferred growth direction of dendrite during directional solidification.

Biological object recognition approach using space variant resolution and pigeon-inspired optimization for UAV

Recognizing the target from a rotated and scaled image is an important and difficult task for computer vision. Visual system of humans has a unique space variant resolution mechanism(SVR) and log-polar transformations(LPT) is a mapping method that is invariant to rotation and scale. Motivated by biological vision, we propose a novel global LPT based template-matching algorithm(GLPT-TM) which is invariant to rotational and scale changes; and with pigeon-inspired optimization(PIO) used to optimize search strategy, a hybrid model of SVR and pigeon-inspired optimization(SVRPIO) is proposed to accomplish object recognition for unmanned aerial vehicles(UAV) with rotational and scale changes of the target. To demonstrate the efficiency, effectiveness and reliability of the proposed method, a series of experiments are carried out. By rotating and scaling the sample image randomly and recognizing the target with the method, the experimental results demonstrate that our proposed method is not only efficient due to the optimization, but effective and accurate in recognizing the target for UAV.

Some coupled 1D-2D hydrodynamic and water quality models depicting tidalwater bodies with complex topography were presented. For the coupled models, finite element methodwas used to solve the governing equations so as to study tidal rivers with complex topography. Sincethe 1D and 2D models were coupled, the principle of model coupling was proposed to accountappropriately for the factors of water level, flow and pollutant flux and the related dynamicalbehavior was simulated. Specifically the models were used to probe quantitative pollutioncontribution of receiving water from neighboring Jiangsu and Zhejiang Provinces to the pollution inthe Huangpu River passing through Shanghai City, Numerical examples indicated that the developedcoupled 1D-2D models are applicable in tidal river network region of Shanghai.

Geometry optimization of p-C_(6)H_(4)-connected cyclo[20]carbon(p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20))was carried out at M062X/6-311G(d,p)level,three kinds of bond orders(Mayer,Laplacian,and Wiberg),electron-hole distributions,localized orbital locators(LOL),and infrared(IR)spectrum were also performed at the same *** on TD-DFT M062X/6-311G(d,p)method,the first 20 excited states and ultraviolet(UV)spectra of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20) were *** results of π-electron delocalization analyses prove thatπ-electron delocalization of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20) is more likely to occur on shorter C-C bonds rather than longer C-C bonds,and inside/outside of the ring plane rather than above/below the ring *** absorption peaks of p-C_(6)H_(4)-C_(20) locate at about 319 nm and 236 nm,respectively.
