Using Copula functions to predict climatic change impacts on floods in river source regions

Flood frequency in river source regions is significantly affected by rainfall and snowmelt as part of climatic changes.A traditional univariate flood frequency analysis cannot reflect the complexity of floods,and when used in isolation,it can only underestimate flood *** effective flood prevention and mitigation,it is essential to consider the combined effects of precipitation and *** functions can effectively quantify the joint distribution relationship between floods and their associated variables without restrictions on their distribution *** study uses copula functions to consider a multivariate probability distribution model of flood peak flow(Q)with cumulative snowmelt(CSm)and cumulative precipitation(CPr)for the Hutubi River basin located in northern Xinjiang,*** joint frequencies of rainfall and snowmelt floods are predicted using copula models based on the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project Phase 6 *** results show that Q has a significant positive correlation with 24-d CSm(r=0.559,p=0.002)and 23-d CPr(r=0.965,pequency will increase in the future,and mid-(2050e2074)and long-term(2075e2099)floods will be more severe than those in the near-term(2025e2049).The probability of flood occurrence is higher under the SSP2-4.5 and SSP1-2.6 scenarios than under *** during the historical period(1990e2014)led to extreme floods,and increasing future precipitation trends are found to be *** increases with rising temperatures and occurs earlier than estimated,leading to an earlier flood period in the basin and more frequent snowmelt *** Q under the joint return period is larger than that during the same univariate return *** difference indicates that neglecting the interaction between precipitation and snowmelt for floods leads to an underestimation of the flood risk(with underestimations ranging from 0.3%to 22%).The underestimations decrease with an increase

TRAIL and Celastrol Combinational Treatment Suppresses Proliferation, Migration, and Invasion of Human Glioblastoma Cells via Targeting Wnt/β-catenin Signaling Pathway

Combining conservation tillage with nitrogen fertilization promotes maize straw decomposition by regulating soil microbial community and enzyme activities

Straw return can effectively improve farmland soil microenvironment and fertility. However, excessive straw in the topsoil adversely affects seed germination and crop growth. At present, the characteristics and key driving factors of straw decomposition in dry farmlands are unclear. Based on the interactions between tillage practices including zero tillage(ZT), chisel tillage(CT), and plow tillage(PT) and nitrogen(N) fertilization, i.e., low N(N1,180 kg ha-1), normal N(N2, 240 kg ha-1), and high N(N3, 300 kg ha-1), quantitative polymerase chain reaction technology and an enzymatic detection kit were used to investigate the effects of key straw C-degrading enzyme activities and microbial abundance in soil on maize straw decomposition during the growth period of winter wheat in the winter wheat/summer maize double cropping system in a dry farmland of the Loess Plateau, China. Between 2018and 2020, ZT and CT significantly increased winter wheat yield(by 10.94% and 12.79%, respectively) and straw decomposition velocity(by 20% and26.67%, respectively), compared with PT. Compared to N1 and N3, N2 significantly increased wheat yield(by 4.65% and 5.31%, respectively) and straw decomposition velocity(by 26.33% and 13.21%, respectively). The partial least squares pathway modelling showed significant positive direct effects of soil moisture, NO3-, NH4+, total N, bacteria, and cellulase, laccase, and xylanase activities on straw decomposition, while soil p H, fungi, and Actinomycetes had significant negative direct effects. overall, conservation tillage(ZT and CT) combined with N2 was beneficial for straw decomposition in the drylands of the Loess Plateau and improved straw resource utilization and basic soil fertility. The results of the study clarified the key drivers of straw decomposition in dry farmlands and provided new ideas for developing updated soil management practices and adaptive N application strategies to promote the resource utilization of straw and achieve the

Improving the complete ethanol electrooxidation on Pd-based catalysts in alkaline media has drawn widely attention due to the high mass energy ***,the weak adsorption energy of CH_(3)CO^(*) on Pd restricts the C–C bond *** by the molecular orbital theory,we proposed the d-state-editing strategy to construct more unoccupied d-states of Pd for the enhanced interaction with CH_(3)CO^(*) to break C–C *** expected,the reduced number of e_g electrons and more unoccupied d-states of Pd successfully formed on as-prepared porous Rh Au–Pd Cu nanosheets(PNSs).Theoretical calculations show that the optimized d-states of Rh Au–Pd Cu PNS can effectively improve the adsorption of CH_(3)CO^(*) and drastically reduce the energy barrier of C–C bond cleavage,thus boosting the complete oxidation of *** charge ratio of C_1 pathway on Rh Au–Pd Cu PNSs is 51.5%,more than 2 times higher than that of Pd *** finding provides an innovative perspective for the design of highly-efficient noble-based electrocatalysts.

Nickel diselenide(NiSe_(2)),which has a high theoretical capacity,has attracted considerable attention as a promis-ing anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).Nevertheless,the intrinsically low conductivity,large volume variation,and significant aggregation of NiSe_(2)during sodiation/desodiation remain significant obstacles to its ***,we report flower-like Fe-doped NiSe_(2)/C hybrid spheres(denoted as Fe-NiSe_(2)/C)fabricated by a glucose intercalation strategy for efficient sodium *** Fe-NiSe_(2)/C hybrid spheres are composed of thin porous carbon nanosheets decorated with Fe-NiSe_(2)*** situ introduced carbon nanosheets derived from intercalated glucose accompanied by moderate Fe doping in NiSe2 nanoparticles can provide ac-celerated ion/electron transfer kinetics through fast ion channels in the flower-like architecture and intimately contacted interfaces between NiSe_(2)and carbon nanosheets as well as maintain structural integrity by alleviating volume ***,the optimal anode of the Fe-NiSe_(2)/C hybrid spheres delivered a high discharge capacity of 415 mAh g^(-1)at 0.5 A g^(-1),outstanding rate capability(243 mAh g^(-1)at 5 A g^(-1)),and significantly enhanced cycling stability(388 mAh g^(-1)at 1 A g^(-1)over 200 cycles).This work offers an efficient and valu-able strategy for realizing tailored heteroatom doping in transition metal selenides,accompanied by an in situ combination of conductive carbonaceous networks for advanced alkali metal ion batteries.
