Prevalence and influencing factors of social alienation among elderly patients undergoing radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer

Objectives: This study aims to not only investigate the prevalence of social alienation among elderly patients undergoing radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer but also identify the contributing factors. Materials and methods: A total of 245 elderly patients diagnosed with prostate cancer and undergoing radical prostatectomy at a tertiary care general hospital in Jinan were included in this study. To assess the patients, several questionnaires were used. These included the General Situation Questionnaire, General Alienation Scale, Social Impact Scale, Modified Memorial Anxiety Scale for Prostate Cancer, and Perceived Social Support Scale. Pearson correlation analysis was conducted to examine the relationships between variables, whereas multiple linear regression was used to identify the factors influencing social alienation among patients who underwent radical prostatectomy. Results: Patients who underwent radical prostatectomy had a mean total score of 44.13 +/- 7.24 on the Social Alienation Scale. The results of the Pearson correlation analysis indicated that social alienation showed an inverse association with social support (r = -0.627, p < 0.05) and positive associations with age, disease stigma, and anxiety (r = 0.325, 0.575, 0.421, all p's < 0.01) among patients who underwent radical prostatectomy. The findings from multiple linear regression analysis demonstrated that educational level, age, urinary incontinence, disease stigma, anxiety, and social support significantly influenced social alienation among elderly patients who underwent radical prostatectomy (p < 0.05). Conclusions: Elderly patients who undergo radical prostatectomy often experience social alienation. This study found that social alienation was associated with factors such as educational level, age, urinary incontinence, social support, anxiety, and disease stigma. Research on the distribution characteristics of explosive shock waves at different altitudes

There are great differences in the distribution characteristics of shock waves produced by ammunition explosions at different *** present,there are many studies on plain explosion shock waves,but there are few studies on the distribution characteristics of plateau explosion shock waves,and there is still a lack of complete analysis and evaluation *** paper compares and analyzes shock wave overpressure data at different altitudes,obtains the attenuation effect of different altitudes on the shock wave propagation process and proposes a calculation formula for shock wave overpressure considering the effect of *** data analysis results show that at the same TNT equivalent and the same distance from the measuring point,the shock wave overpressure at high altitude is lower than that at low *** the increase in the explosion center distance of the measuring point,the peak attenuation rate of the shock wave overpressure at high altitudes is smaller than that at low altitudes,and the peak attenuation rate of the shock wave overpressure at high altitudes gradually intensifies with increasing proportional *** average error between the shock wave overpressure and measured shock wave overpressure in a high-altitude environment obtained by using the above calculation formula is 11.1389%.Therefore,this method can effectively predict explosion shock wave overpressure in plateau environments and provides an effective calculation method for practical engineering tests.

毒性研究是一项重要且复杂的科学工作,涉及到评估化学物质及其他物质对人类健康的潜在危害,也对环境保护和可持续发展起着重要作用。传统的基于分子、细胞与动物模型的毒理学实验,除了成本高昂且耗时的问题,还存在对动物不友好的局限性。随着计算机技术的迅猛发展,出现了计算毒理学模型的开发研究。相比于传统的毒理学实验,计算毒理学模型具有高效率、低成本、方便快捷的特点,逐渐成为毒理学研究的热点方向之一。介绍了包括机器学习在内的计算模型预测化合物毒性的研究方法及其在环境保护、毒性风险评估和药物设计等领域的应用,并进一步讨论了计算模型在毒性预测中存在的不足之处及可能的发展方向。

A Strategy to Find Novel Candidate DKAs Inhibitors Using Modified QSAR Model with Favorable Druggability Properties

Hybrid gradient vector fields for path-following guidance

Guidance path-planning and following are two core technologies used for controlling un-manned aerial vehicles(UAVs)in both military and civilian ***,only a few approaches treat both the technologies *** this study,an innovative hybrid gradient vector fields for path-following guidance(HGVFs-PFG)algorithm is proposed to control fixed-wing UAVs to follow a generated guidance path and oriented target curves in three-dimensional space,which can be any combination of straight lines,arcs,and helixes as motion *** algorithm aids the creation of vector fields(VFs)for these motion primitives as well as the design of an effective switching strategy to ensure that only one VF is activated at any time to ensure that the complex paths are followed *** strategies designed in earlier studies have flaws that prevent the UAV from following arcs that make its turning angle too *** proposed switching strategy solves this problem by introducing the concept of the virtual ***,the performance of the HGVFs-PFG algorithm is verified using a reducedorder autopilot and four representative simulation *** simulation considers the constraints of the aircraft,and its results indicate that the algorithm performs well in following both lateral and longitudinal control,particularly for curved *** general,the proposed technical method is practical and competitive.

Dealuminated Hβ zeolite for selective conversion of fructose to furfural and formic acid

The fructose-to-furfural transformation is facing major challenges in the selectivity and high efficiency. Herein, we have developed a simple and effective approach for the selective conversion of fructose to furfural using Hβ zeolite modified by organic acids for dealuminization to regulate its textural and acidic properties. It was found that citric acid-dealuminized Hβ zeolite possessed high specific surface areas, wide channels and high Brønsted acid amount, which facilitated the selective conversion of fructose to furfural with a maximum yield of 76.2% at433 K for 1 h in the γ-butyrolactone(GBL)-H_(2)O system, as well as the concomitant formation of 83.0% formic acid. The^(13)C-isotope labelling experiments and the mechanism revealed that the selective cleavage of C1–C2 or C5–C6 bond on fructose was firstly occurred to form pentose or C5 intermediate by weak Brønsted acid, which was then dehydrated to furfural by strong Brønsted acid. Also this dealuminized Hβ catalyst showed the great recycling performance and was active for the conversion of glucose and mannose.

The risk factors and threshold level of subchronic inhalation exposure of reclaimed water

Inhalation of reclaimed water is known to cause lung infammation,and free endotoxins have been shown to be a major risk factor for acute *** exposure has also been shown to induce infammatory responses with visible tissue ***,subchronic risk factors have yet to be identified,and a threshold for the protection of occupational populations during urban reuse is *** this study,potential risk factors in reclaimed water were examined by subchronic exposure with fractionated reclaimed water,and the health risk threshold was tested with a series of diluted reclaimed ***,following a 12-week exposure,macromolecules and microorganisms were found to be two major risk factors in reclaimed water that could cause pulmonary infammation,including increased proportion of polymorphonuclear leukocytes in bronchoalveolar fuid,formation of inducible bronchus-associated lymphoid tissue,and elevation of Immunoglobulin A ***,infammation persisted after a 4-week recovery *** calculated threshold of reclaimed water exposure for mice was 31.8 Endotoxin Unit(EU)/(kg·day)under when exposed to 50%additional relative humidity from reclaimed water at 25℃ for 2 hr/***,the subchronic threshold estimate for humans under the same exposure conditions was found to be 12.2 EU/(kg·day),corresponding to endotoxin levels of 61.7 EU/mL in reclaimed *** threshold level of endotoxin was lower than that in most non-potable reclaimed *** findings of this study suggest that occupational exposure of reclaimed water can serve as a potential risk to workers.

An Underwater Target Detection Algorithm Based on Attention Mechanism and Improved YOLOv7

For underwater robots in the process of performing target detection tasks,the color distortion and the uneven quality of underwater images lead to great difficulties in the feature extraction process of the model,which is prone to issues like error detection,omission detection,and poor ***,this paper proposed the CER-YOLOv7(CBAM-EIOU-RepVGG-YOLOv7)underwater target detection *** improve the algorithm’s capability to retain valid features from both spatial and channel perspectives during the feature extraction phase,we have added a Convolutional Block Attention Module(CBAM)to the backbone *** Reparameterization Visual Geometry Group(RepVGG)module is inserted into the backbone to improve the training and inference *** Efficient Intersection over Union(EIoU)loss is also used as the localization loss function,which reduces the error detection rate and missed detection rate of the *** experimental results of the CER-YOLOv7 algorithm on the UPRC(Underwater Robot Prototype Competition)dataset show that the mAP(mean Average Precision)score of the algorithm is 86.1%,which is a 2.2%improvement compared to the *** feasibility and validity of the CER-YOLOv7 are proved through ablation and comparison experiments,and it is more suitable for underwater target detection.
