Changing soil ecology in Northern Europe under grazing stress

Relative ontology issue from the principle of differentiation: to be means to differ. This brought us to such scenario of global development, which goes from somatic being through anthropological one and finally to theological one. It is striving to the theological being that is the ground of future morality. The first stage in this direction is rejection of man's orientation towards somatic being, that is relinquishing a significant part of material consumption. The very strategy of the consumer society proves to be immoral. Conversely, man's strife to minimal consumption will be moral. The man of the future will pursue the strategy of creativity in the field of ideas, without their realization into the economical goods designed for consumption. This is the second stage of human development towards theological being. Art is an intellectual activity that corresponds most to this direction of development.

Landscapes at boundaries of climatic regions are of special interest for studies in changes of soil *** areas are often under pressures for land use changes and rural areas become of interest for agricultural use. Soils of such regions, however, show only little capacity,for long time uses in such ways as they have are only poorly *** holds especially true for soils in Northern Scandinavia where the climatic regime allows only poor plant *** dry tundra systems are dominated by Podzols with thin layers of organic horizons. Increases grazing pressure by reindeer husbandry and changing herding by keeping the animals in fenced areas led to changes in grazing stress to plants and soils,effects are changes in vegetation patterns but also in erosion and leaching of *** of these changes in land use were analysed during a study at the border fence between Finland and Norway during an EU promoted project(RENmAN). Whereas the Norwegian side shows a landscape with an undisturbed lichen cover,the Finnish side has changed to shrub land with somc grass and barren *** was carried across the border in order to lnonitor local changes in soil *** respect was given soil respiration,soil organic matter and microbial *** show significant changes due to grazing *** change from lichen heath to shrub and grassland is the dominant feature with consequences to microbial activity and soil organic *** the grazing pressure goes down,the vegetation seems to keep a pattern of shrub and grassland,by outcompeting the *** the long run, these changes have consequences in mineralization processes and soil quality.

Fungicides which are not easily degradable have the greatest adverse effects on soil microbes. These pesticides negatively affect the growth and multiplication of fungi and bacteria and consequently cause the disturbance of the natural soil microbial balance. In this study two fungicide tolerant isolates of rhizobia;clover isolate (TA1) and peanut isolate (8) were assessed in their capacity to degrade Vitavax and Rizolex. The performance of these isolates in fungicides degradation was tested using the colorimetric assay for Rizolex and the HPLC analysis for Vitavax to detect the degradation products. Using HPLC analyses, the control sample showed specific peak indicating the Vitavax presence in the medium. The specific peak did not change in the control samples throughout the *** the strainTA1 the specific peak of the Vitavax fungicides started to reduce as the incubation time goes on. The Vitavax fungicide did not degrade completely after 240 hours of incubation with rhizobial isolate. The Rizolex used in this study contained blend of Thiram (active ingredient of Rizolex) and Tolcofs methyl fungicides in 1:1 ratio. The biodegradation of Rizolex in the liquid media showed the formation of two new intermediates which were released into the medium indicating the degradation of the tested fungicide by peanut rhizobial isolate No. 8 in 48 hrs of incubation 45% of this compound was degraded. This work shows that the selection of fungicides tolerant rhizobial strains is important to protect the rhizobial inoculants from the toxic effect of the pesticides.

In the last years, the issues regarding both sustainable development and business global responsibility have qualified the corporate governance effectiveness. many international institutions have intervened and the companies, at least formally, have increased their attention to the interaction between stakeholder relationship management and economic, social, and environmental responsibility. The numerous and frequent scandals underline the discrepancy between the firms＇ formal statements and the substantial behaviors. most of the companies, in the industrialized country, publish well-structured code of ethics and conduct, explicating the strategic values assigned to the global responsibility. The research considers the capability of the code of conduct to influence effectively the behaviors, in relation with the needs of transparency, sharing, coherent individual behavior, and control. In relation to the importance conferred to the sustainable development by the European Union （EU）, the analysis examines listed companies with the greatest market capitalization operating in the Great Britain, Germany, and Italy, in order to verify the firms＇ behavioral uniformity and the effectiveness of sustainability policies. The analysis shows that the codes of ethics seem to remain only formal declarations. Conscious and rational governance not only transfers values and principles of sustainability to the firm＇s behaviors and its result system, but also goes beyond a mere diffusion and formalization of codes of ethics and conducts. To achieve that, it is necessary to develop productive behaviors focused on the risk control and on managing behaviors of all the organization＇s members, in particular in reference to the stakeholder relationship management. The codes of ethics, in fact, seem to assume a poor relevance for the corporate sustainability promotion if a correct formal structure does not occur integrated with strategies and processes which assure a constant workability. 综合使用超声相干技术几种不同的测量方法，分别研究两类三种不同性能的玻璃材料，测量它们的声速和衰减在室温及高压条件下的变化规律。结果表明：两类玻璃的声速和衰减以及由此而得到的弹性常数存在较大差异。两种硅玻璃在高压下，声速随压力变化的规律相似，压力升高时，纵波速度随之单调增加，横波速度线性减少，纵波衰减也随压力升高呈增加趋势。不同的是：两种玻璃横波衰减随压力的变化规律完全相反，水白玻璃的衰减增加，窗口玻璃的减小。上述几种方法的测量结果基本一致，且在相应的压力范围内与布里渊散射的实验结果基本吻合。

A New Approach for Atrazine Desorption, Extraction and Detection from a Clay-Silty Soil Sample

This paper reports an alternative method for extraction, detection and quantification of atrazine from a clay-silty soil. Atrazine adsorption isotherm for this kind of soil fits to a Freundlich adsorption isotherm with a correlation coefficient of 0.994, sorption intensity 1/n = 0.718 and Kf = 1, with a maximum soil adsorbed atrazine concentration of 8 mg g–1. Atrazine desorption was approached using several surfactants including non-ionic (Triton X-100, Triton X-114, and Triton X-405), anionic (SDS) and cationic (CTAB), these surfactants were used at critical micellar concentration (CmC) and higher concentrations. Atrazine quantification was done by high resolution liquid chromatography coupled to spectrophotometric detection (HPLC-UV), optimized conditions correspond to a flow rate of 1.0 mL min–1, λ = 260 nm, a C18 PAH Agilent-Eclipse column with a mobile phase of CH3OH/1 × 10–3, a phosphate buffer, pH 3.2/CH3CN 55:30:15 (v/v). At these conditions it can be obtained a good chromatographic separation of atrazine and soil organic matter. Atrazine desorption was aided by surfactants at CmC conditions, it can be claimed that atrazine desorption was enhanced by surfactants since desorption, from higher to lower, goes as follows: 98.5% with Triton X-114, 98% with SDS, 89.5% with Triton X-405, 86.5% with Triton X-100;and 45% with CTAB.
