The mobility of clusters on a semiconductor surface for various values of cluster size is studied as a function of temperature by kinetic monte Carlo method. The cluster resides on the surface of a square grid. Kinetic processes such as the diffusion of single particles on the surface, their attachment and detachment to/from clusters, diffusion of particles along cluster edges are considered. The clusters considered in this study consist of 150-6000 atoms per cluster on average. A statistical probability of motion to each direction is assigned to each particle where a particle with four nearest neighbors is assumed to be immobile. The mobility of a cluster is found from the root mean square displacement of the center of mass of the cluster as a function of time. It is found that the diffusion coefficient of clusters goes as D = A（T）Na where N is the average number of particles in the cluster, A（T） is a temperature-dependent constant and a is a parameter with a value of about -0.64 〈 a 〈 -0.75. The value of a is found to be independent of cluster sizes and temperature values （170-220 K） considered in this study. As the diffusion along the perimeter of the cluster becomes prohibitive, the exponent approaches a value of -0.5. The diffusion coefficient is found to change by one order of magnitude as a function of cluster size.

The Yukawa potential is often used to compute bound-state normalizations and energy levels of neutral *** using the generalized parametric Nikiforov–Uvarov method,we obtain approximate analytical solutions of the radial Schrödinger equation for the Yukawa *** energy eigenvalues and the corresponding eigenfunctions are calculated in closed *** numerical results are presented and show that these results are in good agreement with those obtained previously by other ***,we find the energy levels of the familiar pure Coulomb potential energy levels when the screening parameter of the Yukawa potential goes to zero.

Background:In recent years,there has been an increasing interest in using high quantities of milk or milk replacer(mR)in heat-stressed calves to alleviate the negative effects of high environmental temperatures on their ***,observations have indicated a decline in growth performance in the weaning and postweaning period,which might be optimized with increasing total solids(TS)in milk and weaning *** study aims to optimize the effects of higher quantities of milk on late weaned calves'performance by increasing TS concentration or delivery route in summer ***:Forty-eight newborn Holstein calves were used in a 2×2 factorial arrangement with the factors of preweaning total plane of milk(Pm)intake(low ***)and milk TS content(12%vs.17%).The treatments were(1)low Pm(LPm)intake with 12%TS(TS intake=45.9 kg),(2)LPm intake with 17%TS(TS intake=65.1 kg),(3)high Pm(HPm)intake with 12%TS(TS intake=63.7 kg);and(4)HPm intake with 17%TS(TS intake=90.3 kg).Calves were weaned at d 83,and the study was terminated at d 103 of *** data(every 10 day),skeletal growth(d 80 and 100),ruminal fermentation parameters(d 48 and 91),and behavioral measurements(d 69,70,93 and 94)were analyzed as repeated measurements with PROC mIXED of SAS 9.4(SAS Institute Inc.,Cary,NC).Results:Calves receiving HPm consumed less PmR from d 44 to 83 of age,but they had higher ADG from d 24 to 53 of age compared to those fed LPm(Pm×age,Pmilk with 17%TS had lower PmR intake from d 14 to 83 of age,but greater ADG from d 34 to 53 compared to those receiving milk with 12%TS(TS×age,Pm had greater skeletal growth parameters compared to LPmfed calves,with a similar effect evident for calves fed milk with 17%TS compared with those fed milk with 12%*** receiving milk with 17%TS had greater fecal scores and diarrhea occurrence than those fed milk with 12%TS in HPm,but not ***:Increasing Pm

The advection-diffusion equation y_t~ε-εy_(xx)~ε+ m y_x~ε= 0,(x, t) ∈(0, 1) ×(0, T) is null controllable for any strictly positive values of the diffusion coefficient ε and of the controllability time T. We discuss here the behavior of the cost of control when the coefficient ε goes to zero, according to the values of T. It is actually known that this cost is uniformly bounded with respect to ε if T is greater than a minimal time T_m, with T_m in the interval [1, 2×3^(1/2)]/m for m > 0 and in the interval [2×2^(1/2), 2(1 +3^(1/2))]/|m | for m m is however *** investigate in this work the determination of the minimal time T_m employing two distincts but complementary approaches. In a first one, we numerically estimate the cost of controllability, reformulated as the solution of a generalized eigenvalue problem for the underlying control operator, with respect to the parameter T and ε. This allows notably to exhibit the structure of initial data leading to large costs of control. At the practical level, this evaluation requires the non trivial and challenging approximation of null controls for the advection-diffusion equation. In the second approach, we perform an asymptotic analysis, with respect to the parameter ε, of the optimality system associated to the control of minimal L^2-norm. The matched asymptotic expansion method is used to describe the multiple boundary layers.

Carbon Dioxide Fixation method for Electrosynthesis of Benzoic Acid from Chlorobenzene

Carbon dioxide fixation technique was developed as an alternative dechlorination method of chlorobenzenes. Electrolysis of chlorobenzene was carried out in a one-compartment cell fitted with an aluminium anode and a platinum cathode. Electrolysis in N, N-dimethylformamide （DmF） solution containing 0.1 m of tetrapropylammonium bromide （TPAB） at 0 ℃, 100 ml/min of CO2 flow rate and 120 mA/cm^2 of current density was found to be the optimum conditions of this electrocarboxylation, which gave 72% yield of benzoic acid from chlorobenzene. These conditions were then applied to 1,2-dichlorobenzene and 1,3-dichlorobenzene in order to convert them to their corrcsponding benzoic acids.
