Hypolipidemic effect of coffee silver skin in rats fed a high-fat diet

The present study was conducted to evaluate the hypolipidemic effects of coffee silver skin(CSS)supplementation in rats fed a highfat diet(HFD).A total of 40 albino rats were used in the present *** groups were as follows:Rats fed a normal diet,N group;high fat diet,HFD group;high fat diet+10%CSS,HFD 10;HFD+15%CSS,HFD 15;HFD+20%CSS,HFD 20;the diets were followed for 8 *** samples were collected at the end of the *** the time of sacrifice,the weights of heart,liver,kidneys,epididymal fat and retroperitoneal fat of the experimental rats with respect to body weight were *** lipid parameter of the serum was recorded and liver and kidney function tests were ***,a histopathological assay was performed on the liver and kidney tissues of the rats fed the tested *** weight gain of the rats fed a HFD supplemented with 10,15 and 20%CSS was∼1.05,1.08 and 1.12 times lower than that of those rats fed HFD,*** incorporation of CSS at a level of 20%reduced the increase in liver,kidney,epididymal fat and retroperitoneal fat weight by 17.84,19.38,47.23 and 18.00%,respectively,compared with HFD *** administration induced considerable increases in alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase and alkaline phosphatase activities compared with the control *** results also indicated that the HFD-fed rats exhibited increased levels of urea,uric acid and creatinine,by∼26.38,8.40 and 6.75%,respectively,compared with the control *** the exception of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,all lipid fractions increased significantly in rats fed a *** administration of a HFD induced marked pathological changes in the liver and kidneys of the ***,the incorporation of various levels of CSS in to a HFD reduced these *** results of the present study illustrate that the incorporation of CSS into HFDs reduces the hyperlipidemia effect of these diets.

Frequency of Rotavirus among under 5 Children Admitted to Wad madani Pediatric Teaching Hospital with Diarrhea, Gezira State, Sudan (2021-2022)

Rotavirus is the leading cause of acute gastroenteritis and responsible for 20% of death in children under 5 years of age approximately 111 million episodes of gastroenteritis due to Rotavirus in under 5 children, which result in 25 million visits to clinic, 2 million hospitalization and 352,000 - 592,000 deaths. Children in the poorest countries account 82% of rotaviruses death. Diarrhea disease are major cause of death and disease among children under five years, a child on average suffers 2 to 3 attacks of diarrhea every year. Stools samples were collected from 196 children suffering from diarrhea and were tested for rotaviruses by immune chromatography test antigen (ICT-Ag), ELISA and RT PCR The data were analyzed using statistical package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The results showed that prevalence of rotavirus was 26/196 (13.3%) by ICT Ag and ELISA and confirmed by RT-PC R. 87.8% of the children were vaccinated by Rota vaccine, 70% of their mothers not using soap for cleaning the children and thought diarrhea not infectious disease and believed it was caused by teething. In conclusion there was a decrease in prevalence of diarrhea by Rotavirus due to insertion of Rota vaccine in routine vaccination, rotavirus infection mostly occurs in poor family that not able to provide safe water and due to poor sanitation and low education of mother beside that some children suffered from malnutrition, so it recommended to incorporate ELISA as a diagnostic tool in routine diagnosis of rotavirus among children suffered from gastroenteritis.

Given their numerous functional and architectural benefits,such as improved bearing capacity and increased resistance to elastic instability modes,cold-formed steel(CFS)built-up sections have become increasingly developed and used in recent years,particularly in the construction *** paper presents an analytical and numerical study of assembled CFS two single channel-shaped columns with different slenderness and configurations(backto-back,face-to-face,and box).These columns were joined by double-row rivets for the back-to-back and box configurations,whereas they were welded together for the face-to-face *** built-up columns were filled with ordinary concrete of good *** element models were applied,using ABAQUS software,to assess mechanical performance and study the influence of assembly techniques on the behavior of cold-formed columns under axial *** approaches based on Eurocode 3 and Eurocode 4 recommendations for un-filled and concrete-filled columns respectively were followed for the numerical analysis,and concrete confinement effects were also considered per American Concrete Institute(ACI)standards for face-to-face and box *** obtained results indicated a good correlation between the numerical results and the proposed analytical methodology which did not exceed 8%.The failure modes showed that the columns failed due to instabilities such as local and global buckling.

Evaluating the influence of a structured nursing protocol on targeted outcomes in rheumatoid arthritis patients

Objective:Rheumatoid arthritis(RA)requires comprehensive *** nursing protocols may enhance outcomes,but evidence is *** study evaluated the effect of a structured nursing protocol on RA *** and methods:In this one-group pre-post study,30 Egyptian RA patients completed assessments before and after a 12-week nursing protocol comprising education,psychosocial support,and self-management *** included clinical evaluation of joint counts,erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR),and C-reactive protein(CRP)and patient-reported Arthritis Self-Efficacy Scale(ASES),Health Assessment Questionnaire(HAQ),Visual Analog Scale(VAS)for pain,and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS).Results:The study demonstrated significant improvements in both clinical-and patient-reported *** count decreased from 18.4±4.2 to 14.2±3.8(Pm 30.1±6.8 mm/h to 25.5±6.8 mm/h(Pm 15.2±3.6 mg/L to 11.8±2.9 mg/L(Pmes showed a marked increase in ASES score from 140±25 to 170±30(Pm 1.6±0.4 to 1.3±0.3(Pm 7.8±1.7 to 6.2±1.2(Pm 11±3 to 8±2(Pmproved clinical disease activity,physical functioning,pain,self-efficacy,and emotional well-being in RA patients.A multifaceted nursing intervention appears beneficial for optimizing RA outcomes.

Investigation of Groundwater Quality with Borehole Depth in the Basin Granitoids of the Ashanti Region of Ghana

The dependence of groundwater quality on borehole depth is usually debatable in groundwater studies, especially in complex geological formations where aquifer characteristics vary spatially with depth. This study therefore seeks to investigate the relationship between borehole depth and groundwater quality across the granitoid aquifers within the Birimian Supergroup in the Ashanti Region. Physicochemical analysis records of groundwater quality data were collected from 23 boreholes of public and private institutions in the Ashanti Region of Ghana, and the parametric values of iron, fluoride, total hardness, pH, nitrate, and nitrite were used to study the groundwater quality-depth relationship. The results showed that the depth-to-groundwater quality indicated a marginal increase in water quality in the range of 30 to 50 m, which is mathematically represented by the low-value correlation coefficient (r2 = 0.026). A relatively significant increase occurs in the depth range of 50 to 80 m, which is given by a correlation coefficient of r2 = 0.298. The mean percent parameter compatibility was 74%, 82%, 89%, and 97% at 50, 60, 70, and 80 m depths, respectively. The variations in groundwater quality per depth ratio ranged from 1.48, 1.37, 1.27, and 1.21 for 50, 60, 70, and 80 m depth, respectively. The recommended minimum borehole depth for excellent groundwater quality is suggested with a compatibility per meter depth ratio of 1.37. This results in a range between 50 and 70 m as the most desirable drilling depth for excellent groundwater quality within the granitoids of the Birimian Supergroup of the Ashanti Region in Ghana.

Protective and therapeutic potentials of Dunaliella salina on aging-associated cardiac dysfunction in rats

Objective: To investigate the possible protective and/or therapeutic potentials of Dunaliella salina(D. salina) biomass, its carotenoid and polar fractions on cardiac dysfunction associated with D-galactose(D-GAL) induced aging in rats. methods: Aging associated cardiac dysfunction was induced in rats by injection of D-GAL(200 mg/kg; i.p) for 8 weeks. D-GAL injected rats were treated with two regimens; protective regimen where D. salina biomass(250 mg/kg), its carotenoid(250 μg/kg) and polar(250 μg/kg) fractions were given orally for two weeks concurrently with D-GAL injection as well as treatment regimen where the three treatments were given orally for 28 consecutive days after D-GAL injection. Results: D-GAL injection for 8 weeks was accompanied with dramatic electrocardiographic changes as well as profound elevation in serum levels of homocysteine, creatinine kinase isoenzyme and lactate dehydrogenase in addition to the reduction of the cardiac content of glucose trasporter 4. D-GAL also induced reduction in cardiac superoxide dismutase activity and elevation of inducible nitric oxide synthetase and interleukin-6. On the other hand, oral administration of D. salina carotenoid fraction as well as the total biomass significantly attenuated the D-GAL-induced disturbances in the above mentioned parameters where the protective regimen appeared more successful in controlling the manifestations of cardiac dysfunction. The histopathological examination further emphasized the promising results. Besides, the HPLC analysis of the carotenoid fraction of D. salina revealed the presence of 2.31%. salina carotenoid fraction as well as the total biomass amelior β-carotene. Conclusions: Date D-GAL-induced aging associated cardiac dysfunction which is attributed to the potent antioxidant activity of β-carotene.

Difference between papillary and follicular thyroid carcinoma outcomes:an experience from Egyptian institution

Objective： Differentiated thyroid carcinomas （DTCs） are classified into papillary thyroid carcinoma （PTC） and follicular thyroid carcinoma （FTC）. DTCs are analyzed as a single group in clinical studies that investigated the prognostic factors and prognosis of these malignancies. However, the biological behaviors of these carcinomas significantly differ. In the present study, we aimed to detect differences in the outcomes between PTC and FTC in mansoura University Hospital in Egypt. methods： A total of SS8 patients with histologically proven thyroid carcinomas from January 2003 to December 2012 were retrospectively enrolled. The clinical and pathological data of patients were reviewed. Results： Large primary tumor size, lymph node involvement, extrathyroid extension, and distant metastasis were significant poor prognostic factors for overall survival （OS） in old PTC patients. Cox hazard analysis showed that the patient＇s age, extra thyroid extension, and distant metastasis were the only independent prognostic factors. In FTC patients, only the distant metastasis and degree of tumor invasion were significant poor prognostic factors in OS univariate analysis. However, these factors were nonsignificant in multivariate analysis. The 10-year OS rates were 97% and 89% for PTC and FTC, respectively （P=0.003）. The 10-year disease-free survival （DFS） rates were 77.2% in PTC vs. 65% in FTC （P=0.179）. Conclusion： The significant prognostic factors vary between the two types of DTCs. Therefore, PTC and FTC patients need to be analyzed and reported independently. PTC survival is widely and significantly affected by age, extrathyroid extension, and distant metastasis. By contrast, these factors were nonsignificant in FTC, which showed poorer survival than PTC.

The most abundant phenolic biopolymer in the biosphere is the *** phenolic biopolymer commonly exists in combination with polysaccharides and other cell wall *** this study,the solvent system dioxane-water is used to extract lignin,which is considered as unaltered native *** dioxane lignin extracted from fig stems was characterized regarding to its structural feature,quantification of its functional groups,molecular weight,and evaluation of its thermal *** and molecular weight distribution of the studied lignin indicated that isolated lignin contained a low amount of sugar(c.a.19%)and had a high weight-average molecular weight(10068 ***-1).Lignin sample had approximately the same amounts of guaiacyl(G)and p-hydroxyphenyl(H)units with relatively fewer syringyl(S)*** isolated lignin revealed good antioxidant ***,it proved to have a high potential of application in new antioxidants formulations.

In this paper, the symmetry method has been carried over to the generalized variable coefficients Zakharov- Kuznetsov equation. The infinitesimal symmetries and the optimal system are deduced and from this optimal system seven basic fields are determined, and for every vector field in the optimal system the admissible forms of the coefficients are found and this also leads us to transform the given equation into partial differential equations in two variables. After using some referenced transformations the mentioned partial differential equations eventually reduce to ordinary differential equations. The search for solutions to those equations has yielded many exact solutions in most cases.

基于IoT和数据加密技术的管理车辆系统上的威胁安全检测对于实现智能运输系统(ITS)和安全隐私保护至关重要。这样可以方便车辆数据隐私的管理和控制,提高数据认证的安全性,保护数据隐私。在物联网云中,节点可以通过相互传递消息来共享信息资源。但是,由于环境脆弱,网络容易受到安全攻击和隐私攻击。消息身份验证是确保通信安全的一种重要方法,并且已在物联网网络中广泛使用。然而,由于车辆网络的动态性和拓扑结构,车辆网络中的节点对消息具有严格的时间要求。针对物联网车辆网络的现有认证方案未能满足网络的严格时间要求,从而导致信息丢失。信息丢失经常发生在节点上,特别是在困难的情况下。因此,有必要研究车辆系统中安全有效的消息认证方案。首先,介绍了基于物联网和认证的车辆系统的研究现状和未来发展趋势。然后,我们描述了我们研究的必要性和创新性。此外,我们讨论了威胁安全识别中出现的保护和隐私问题。我们提出一种有效的数字签名,加密算法高级加密标准(AES)算法来加密和解密数据,并使用身份验证算法提高消息身份验证的速率,以减少消息身份验证的计算成本和时间因素。对该算法进行了广泛的分析评估,结果表明该算法是有效的,可以保证信息安全和用户隐私。其次,为了避免由于认证延迟而导致的高消息丢失率问题,我们基于网络的特殊性提出了一种高效安全的消息认证方案。车辆通信的重点是保护隐私数据。在本文方案中,车辆将接收到的消息分为几个优先级队列,并根据分类结果对消息进行身份验证,优先级高的消息将得到优先验证,从而降低了车辆的重要消息丢失率。本文针对路边单元引入了一种基于反向拍卖的合作认证算法,合作认证可以减少攻击的工作量,而且拍卖机制可以使用高级加密标准算法使数据受到更多保护。本文通过大量的分析和仿真对所提方案进行了评估,结果表明该方案可以提高认证效率,显着降低消息丢失率,并保证信息的安全性和私密性。
