PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2electrocatalysts with Pd∶Au∶Ir molar ratios of 90∶5∶5,70∶20∶10 and 50∶45∶5 were prepared by borohydride reduction *** electrocatalysts were characterized by eDX,X-ray diffraction,transmission electron microscopy and the catalytic activity toward formic acid electro-oxidation in acid medium investigated by cyclic voltammetry(CV),chroamperometry(CA)and tests on direct formic acid fuel cell(DFAFC)at 100℃.X-ray diffractograms of PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2electrocatalysts showed the presence of Pd fcc phase,Pd-Au fcc alloys,carbon and ATo phases,while Ir phases were not *** micrographs and histograms indicated that the nanoparticles were not well dispersed on the support and some *** cyclic voltammetry and chroamperometry studies showed that PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2(50∶45∶5)had superior performance toward formic acid electro-oxidation at 25℃compared to PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2(70∶20∶10),PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2(90∶5∶5)and Pd/C-Sb2o5·*** experiments in a single DFAFC also showed that all PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2electrocatalysts exhibited higher performance for formic acid oxidation in comparison with Pd/C-Sb2o5·Sno2electrocatalysts,however PdauIr/C-Sb2o5·Sno2(90∶5∶5)had superior *** results indicated that the addition of Au and Ir to Pd favor the electro-oxidation of formic acid,which could be attributed to the bifunctional mechanism(the presence of ATo,Au and Ir oxides species)associated to the electronic effect(Pd-Au fcc alloys).

The Brazilian state of Acre has an extensive natural reserve of bamboo,making it one of the largest in loco gene *** aim of this study was to characterize the structure and genetic diversity of Guadua weberbaueri *** two populations,one native(FAPB)and the other anthropized(FAPBA),using ISSR *** results show that the FAPB population exhibited higher values for all estimates of population ***,the FAPBA population also showed high heterozygosity,corroborated by estimated gene flow(Nm=3.9)between the *** study of the association between Nei’s genetic distances and the geographic distances between the populations were significantly correlated(r=0.45,p=0.01),corroborated by the dendrogram revealing two distinct groups corresponding to the collection sites,without mixing classes between populations in the same *** for the coancestry coefficient,pairs of individuals in the first distance class were positive and significant,indicating that plants that are geographically closer share common alleles with a frequency greater than by chance,which means that there is a tendency that geographically closer individuals are *** presented similar genetic structure when the geographical distance between them was up to 56 m for FAPB and up to 156 m for *** was concluded that anthropized environments exhibit less genetic diversity than native environments,inferring risks for species conservation if appropriate and planned management techniques are not adopted.

AIM:To evaluate the effect of β-blockade on angiotensins in the splanchnic and peripheral circulation of cirrhotic patients and also to compare hemodynamic parameters during liver transplantation according to propranolol pre-treatment or not. MeTHoDS:Patients were allocated into two groups:outpatients with advanced liver disease(LD) and during liver transplantation(LT). Both groups were subdivided according to treatment with propranolol or not. Plasma was collected through peripheral venipuncture to determine plasma renin activity(PRA),Angiotensin(Ang) Ⅰ,Ang Ⅱ,and Ang-(1-7) levels by radioimmunoassay in LD group. During liver transplantation,hemodynamic parameters were determined and blood samples were obtained from the portal vein to measure renin angiotensin system(RAS) ***:PRA,Ang Ⅰ,Ang Ⅱ and Ang-(1-7) were signifi cantly lower in the portal vein and periphery in all subgroups treated with propranolol as compared to non-treated. The relationships between Ang-(1-7) and Ang Ⅰ levels and between Ang Ⅱ and Ang Ⅰ were significantly increased in LD group receiving propranolol. The ratio between Ang-(1-7) and Ang Ⅱ remained unchanged in splanchnic and peripheral circulation in patients under β-blockade,whereas the relationship between Ang Ⅱ and Ang Ⅰ was significantly increased in splanchnic circulation of LT patients treated with propranolol. During liver transplantation,cardiac output and index as well systemic vascular resistance and index were reduced in propranolol-treated subgroup. CoNCLUSIoN:In LD group,propranolol treatment reduced RAS mediators,but did not change the ratio between Ang-(1-7) and Ang Ⅱ in splanchnic and peripheral circulation. Furthermore,the modification of hemodynamic parameters in propranolol treated patients was not associated with changes in the angiotensin ratio.

In this work,nine different types of edible coating based on pectin,cellulose nanocrystals,glycerol,and essential oil of lemongrass were prepared and used to coat strawberries with a film formed directly on the surface of the coated *** effects of the different edible coatings on refrigerated fruits in terms of weight loss,titratable acidity,total soluble solids,pH,and anthocyanin content was evaluated after 2 days,4 days,6 days,and 8 days of *** of the edible coatings reduced the weight loss of the coated strawberries and the anthocyanin *** total soluble solids content of or uncoated fruit increase more markedly than that of coated *** contrast,pH was maintained for both coated and uncoated *** edible coatings were effective in minimizing of the weight loss,without worsening the physical chemistry *** treatments T5 and T9 presented the best results.

The temperature control in electronic packaging is the key in numerous applications,to avoid overheating and hardware *** to high capability of heat transfer,good temperature uniformity,and no power consumption,heat pipes can be widely used for heat dissipation of electronic *** paper reports an experimental thermal analysis of different capillary structures for heat *** wicks considered are metal screens,axial microgrooves,and sintered metal *** heat pipes are made of copper,a 200 mm length tube and a 9.45 mm external *** fluid used was distilled *** devices are investigated in three positions:0,90,and 270°to the horizontal under powers of 5 up to 45 *** results show that in horizontal(0°)and with the evaporator under the condenser(270°),the heat pipes showed similar ***,in the reverse condition(the position against the gravity with the evaporator above the condenser,90°),the heat pipe with sintered wick presented the best thermal performance,as it has the lowest thermal resistance and supported a higher *** that,the sintered powder capillary structure demonstrates the most homogeneous thermal behavior for every position,making the most suitable for applications susceptible to diverse inclinations.

Nitrogen(N) is a key nutrient for rice production, and its bioavailability in paddy soils is strongly coupled to soil organic matter(SoM) cycling. A better understanding of potentially available N forms in soil, such as alkaline hydrolyzable N(AH-N), and their depth distribution will support the development of best management practices to improve the N use efficiency of rice while minimizing adverse environmental effects. Fifteen rice(oryza sativa L.) fields from Southern Brazil were selected, and stratified soil samples were taken to a depth of 60 cm before crop establishment. Selected soil physical and chemical properties were analyzed to evaluate their relationships with AH-N contents in the soil profile. The AH-N contents below 20 cm varied extensively(increased,reduced, or constant) compared with that above 20 cm. Although clay and clay + silt contents were highly correlated to AH-N for some soils, the major property dictating AH-N distribution by depth was total N(TN), as the correlation between TN and AH-N was mainly by direct effect. The proportion of TN recovered as AH-N across sites and depths presented high amplitude, and thus AH-N was not a constant N pool across depths, indicating that AH-N can be affected by soil management practices even when TN showed no major changes. The distinct distribution of AH-N across soil sampling sites and depths indicates that depths greater than 20 cm should be considered when calibrating the AH-N index for N fertilizer recommendations for flooded rice in Southern Brazil.
