We report on a two-arm hybrid high-power laser system(HPLS)able to deliver 2×10 PW femtosecond pulses,developed at the Bucharest-Magurele Extreme Light Infrastructure Nuclear Physics(ELI-NP)Facility.A hybrid frontend(FE)based on a Ti:sapphire chirped pulse amplifier and a picosecond optical parametric chirped pulse amplifier based on beta barium borate(BBO)crystals,with a cross-polarized wave(XPW)filter in between,has been *** delivers 10 mJ laser pulses,at 10 Hz repetition rate,with more than 70 nm spectral bandwidth and high-intensity contrast,in the range of 1013:*** high-energy Ti:sapphire amplifier stages of both arms were seeded from this common *** final high-energy amplifier,equipped with a 200 mm diameter Ti:sapphire crystal,has been pumped by six 100 J nanosecond frequency doubled Nd:glass lasers,at 1 pulse/min repetition *** than 300 J output pulse energy has been obtained by pumping with only 80%of the whole 600 J available pump *** compressor has a transmission efficiency of 74%and an output pulse duration of 22.7 fs was measured,thus demonstrating that the dual-arm HPLS has the capacity to generate 10 PW peak power femtosecond *** reported results represent the cornerstone of the ELI-NP 2×10 PW femtosecond laser facility,devoted to fundamental and applied nuclear physics research.

BACKGROUND Hemorrhoidal disease(HD)is considered a low-severity pathology by both general population and physicians,but the lengthy conservative therapy and postoperative complications suggest *** To assess the effectiveness of different treatment options,both conservative and surgical,in contrast with some preexisting *** We conducted a retrospective,10-yearlong study between January 2011 and December 2021 in two surgical centers,a private and a state-owned *** compared the efficacy and safety of several treatment options,such as open hemorrhoidectomy,stapled hemorrhoidopexy,rubber band ligation and infrared coagulation in terms of complication rates and types and their correlation with different preexisting comorbidities such as inflammatory bowel disease(IBD),use of anticoagulant medication(AM)and liver *** also conducted a 20-years long PubMed research(1.263 articles)for relevant *** Our study recorded 10940 patients with HD,10241 with conservative and 699 with surgical *** of these,the male-to-female ratio of 1.3,and a peak in age distribution between 59 and 68 years old(32%of patients).For the entire study,we recorded a 90%incidence of immediate pain,immediate bleeding in 1.5%(11 cases),delayed bleeding in 1.0%(7 cases),and 0.6%surgical site *** retention was also present,with 0.2%of patients,anal stricture in 1%and fecal incontinence for 0.5%of patients(4 cases).We recorded no severe complications such as Fournier`s gangrene or rectovaginal *** accounted for 6%of the patients,with ulcerative colitis in 12%and Chron`s disease in 10.5%.6.6%of the patients had AM,determining 4%immediate and 2%delayed bleeding,in surgically treated *** Our study determined that most common complications(pain,urinary retention,bleeding,and stricture)are correlated with each surgical technique and pre-existing comorbidities.

The micro gas turbine propulsion systems represent a good choice for the unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs). The present work monitors the engine parameters, correlating them with other important engine instrumentation data. The aim of this research was to study the operation of the Jet CAT using various types of fuels under various operating conditions: normal acceleration and sudden acceleration. The measured parameters were monitored under different conditions:(A) Engine operation at two different ambient temperatures – outdoor at 0oC and inside at 19oC; and(B) Using 4 fuel types: kerosene, diesel fuel, kerosene with 5% gasoline and kerosene with 10% gasoline. The relevance of this work is given by the fact that a detailed analysis is performed for the idle regime. The paper will present the detailed test plan used and the most relevant charts with the obtained results for: start time, force, temperature before turbine, fuel flow, depending on micro turbo engine speed.

An SIS epidemiological model in a population of varying size with two dissimilar groups of susceptible individuals has been analyzed. We prove that all the solutions tend to the equilibria of the system. Then we use the Poincaré Index theorem to determine the number of the rest points and their stability properties. It has been shown that bistability occurs for suitable values of the involved parameters. We use the perturbations of the pitchfork bifurcation points to give examples of all possible dynamics of the system. Some numerical examples of bistability and hysteresis behavior of the system has been also provided.

Ultrashort pulsed Bessel beams with intrinsic nondiffractive character and potential strong excitation confinement down to 100nm can show a series of advantages over Gaussian beams in fabricating efficient Bragg grating waveguides(BGWs).In this work, we focus on parameter management for the inscription of efficient BGWs using the point-by-point method employing Bessel *** to their high aspect ratio, the resulting one-dimensional void-like structures can section the waveguides and interact efficiently with the optical modes. Effective first-order BGWs with low birefringence can then be fabricated in bulk fused silica. By controlling the size and the relative location of grating voids via the Bessel pulse energy and scan velocities, the resonant behaviors of BGWs can be well regulated.A high value of 34 dB for 8 mm length is achieved.A simple predictive model for BGWs is proposed for analyzing the influences of processing parameters on the performance of BGWs. The technique permits multiplexing several gratings in the same *** to eight grating traces were straightforwarcliy inscribed into the waveguide in a parallel-serial combined mode, forming the multiplex *** an application, the multiplex BGW sensor with two resonant peaks is proposed and fabricated for improving the reliability of temperature detection.
