Arsenic(As)is a naturally occurring chemical element widely distributed in the Earth's *** activities have significantly altered As presence in the environment,posing significant threats to the biota as well as human *** environmental fates and adverse outcomes of As of various species have been extensively studied in the past few *** is imperative to summarize these advances as a whole to provide more profound insights into the As cycle for sustainable *** the One Health concept,we systematically reviewed previous studies in this work and explored the following three fundamental questions,i.e.,what the trends and associated changes are in As contamination,how living organisms interact and cope with As contamination,and most importantly what to do to achieve a sustainable future with *** focusing on one critical question in each section,this review aims to provide a full picture of the complexity of environmental *** tackle the significant research challenges and gaps in As pollution and mitigation,we further proposed a One Health framework with potential coping strategies,guiding a coordinated agenda on dealing with legacy As in the environment and ensuring a sustainable As future.

Increasing studies of plastisphere have raised public concern about microplastics(MPs)as vectors for pathogens,especially in aquatic ***,the extent to which pathogens affect human health through MPs remains unclear,as controversies persist regarding the distinct pathogen colonization on MPs as well as the transmission routes and infection probability of MP-associated pathogens from water to *** this review,we critically discuss whether and how pathogens approach humans via MPs,shedding light on the potential health risks *** on cutting-edge multidisciplinary research,we show that some MPs may facilitate the growth and long-range transmission of specific pathogens in aquatic environments,ultimately increasing the risk of infection in *** identify MP-and pathogen-rich settings,such as wastewater treatment plants,aquaculture farms,and swimming pools,as possible sites for human exposure to MP-associated *** review emphasizes the need for further research and targeted interventions to better understand and mitigate the potential health risks associated with MP-mediated pathogen transmission.

Background:The finding of pancreatic cystic lesions(PCL)on incidental imaging is becoming increasingly *** studies report a prevalence of 2.2-44.7%depending on the population,imaging modality and indication for imaging,and the prevalence increases with *** with PCL are at risk of developing pancreatic cancer,a disease with a poor *** publication summarizes recommendations for the diagnosis and management of PCL and post-operative pancreatic exocrine insufficiency(PEI)from a group of local ***:Clinical evidence was consolidated from narrative reviews and consensus statements formulated during two online meetings in March *** expert panel included gastroenterologists,hepatobiliary surgeons,oncologists,radiologists,and ***:Patients with PCL require careful investigation and follow-up due to the risk of malignant transformation of these *** should undergo clinical investigation and pancreas-specific imaging to classify lesions and understand the risk profile of the *** indicated,patients should undergo pancreatectomy to excise *** pancreatectomy,patients are at risk of PEI,leading to gastrointestinal dysfunction and ***,such patients should be monitored for symptoms of PEI,and promptly treated with pancreatic enzyme replacement therapy(PERT).Patients with poor response to PERT may require increases in dose,addition of a proton pump inhibitor,and/or further investigation,including tests for pancreatic *** are also at risk of new-onset diabetes mellitus after pancreatectomy;they should be screened and treated with insulin if ***:These statements are an accurate summary of our approach to the diagnosis and management of patients with PCL and will be of assistance to clinicians treating these patients in a similar clinical landscape.
