Knowledge of radioactivity present in polishing materials enables one to assess any possible radiological risks to human health. In this work, the radioactivity due to the presence of 226Ra, 232Th, 40K, and 37Cs has been measured in polishing materials con-sumed in Saudi Arabia using gamma spectrometry with HPGe. The activity concentra-tions of 226Ra, 232Th, 40K and 137Cs ranged from 13.61 ± 0.005 to 0.60 ± 0.002, 18.43 ± 0.003 to 0.78 ± 0.001, 342.59 ± 0.009 to 2.47 ± 0.001 and 1.47 ± 0.001 to 0.55 ± 0.001 Bq/l, respectively. For 226Ra and 40K, the highest values are measured in stainless steel polisher. The highest values also measured in metal polisher (copper-chrome) and disinfectant cleaner and polisher sample for 232Th and 137Cs. Radium equivalent activ-ity due to the natural radioactivity of the investigated samples ranged from 51.37 to 1.24 Bq/l. This value is less than the recommended values in the established standards. The evaluated data were compared with the literature data. Our results indicate that no significant radiological hazards arise from using investigated samples hence quite safe to be used as polishing materials.

In this paper,the Internet ofMedical Things(IoMT)is identified as a promising solution,which integrates with the cloud computing environment to provide remote health monitoring solutions and improve the quality of service(QoS)in the healthcare ***,problems with the present architectural models such as those related to energy consumption,service latency,execution cost,and resource usage,remain a major concern for adopting IoMT *** address these problems,this work presents a four-tier IoMT-edge-fog-cloud architecture along with an optimization model formulated using Mixed Integer Linear Programming(MILP),with the objective of efficiently processing and placing IoMT applications in the edge-fog-cloud computing environment,while maintaining certain quality standards(e.g.,energy consumption,service latency,network utilization).A modeling environment is used to assess and validate the proposed model by considering different traffic loads and processing *** comparison to the other existing models,the performance analysis of the proposed approach shows a maximum saving of 38%in energy consumption and a 73%reduction in service *** results also highlight that offloading the IoMT application to the edge and fog nodes compared to the cloud is highly dependent on the tradeoff between the network journey time saved *** extra power consumed by edge or fog resources.

The Tor dark web network has been reported to provide a breeding ground for criminals and fraudsters who are exploiting the vulnerabilities in the network to carry out illicit and unethical *** network has unfortunately become a means to perpetuate crimes like illegal drugs and firearm trafficking,violence and terrorist activities among *** government and law enforcement agencies are working relentlessly to control the misuse of Tor *** is a study in the similar league,with an attempt to suggest a link-based ranking technique to rank and identify the influential hidden services in the Tor dark *** proposed method considers the extent of connectivity to the surface web services and values of the centrality metrics of a hidden service in the web graph for *** modified PageRank algorithm is used to obtain the overall rankings of the hidden services in the *** graph metrics were used to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed technique with other commonly known ranking procedures in *** proposed ranking technique is shown to produce good results in identifying the influential domains in the tor network.

Background: Several psychological factors have been linked to the etiology of irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). The aim of the present study was to assess the burden of psychological factors (anxiety, depression, and working status) in the etiology of IBS in northern Saudi Arabia. Methodology: Data regarding IBS were attained from 930 Saudi volunteers existing in the city of Hail, northern Saudi Arabia. A purposeful questionnaire was developed and used to obtain the required data. Each questionnaire was completed by a medical student in the course of the interview. Results: IBS symptoms were recognized in 46% of the study population of whom 38% were males and 62% were females. The risk of anxiety as a risk for IBS was statistically significant. The relative risk and 95% confidence interval (95% CI) = RR (95% CI) = 1.4801 (1.2608 to 1.7376), P Conclusion: IBS and IBS related symptoms are prevalent in northern Saudi Arabia. IBS symptoms are significantly associated with anxiety, depression and to a lesser extent may be linked to occupation and daily working hours.

In today’s world,image processing techniques play a crucial role in the prognosis and diagnosis of various diseases due to the development of several precise and accurate methods for medical *** analysis of medical images is essential for doctors,as manual investigation often leads to inter-observer *** research aims to enhance healthcare by enabling the early detection of diabetic retinopathy through an efficient image processing *** proposed hybridized method combines Modified Inertia Weight Particle Swarm Optimization(MIWPSO)and Fuzzy C-Means clustering(FCM)*** FCM does not incorporate spatial neighborhood features,making it highly sensitive to noise,which significantly affects segmentation *** method incorporates a modified FCM that includes spatial functions in the fuzzy membership matrix to eliminate *** results demonstrate that the proposed FCM-MIWPSO method achieves highly precise and accurate medical image ***,segmented images are classified as benign or malignant using the Decision Tree-Based Temporal Association Rule(DT-TAR)*** analysis with existing state-of-the-art models indicates that the proposed FCM-MIWPSO segmentation technique achieves a remarkable accuracy of 98.42%on the dataset,highlighting its significant impact on improving diagnostic capabilities in medical imaging.

In Jeddah governorate, increased industrialization, urbanization and vehicular traffic may raise levels of heavy metals in the air and soil, threatening food safety and human health. Roadside vegetation traffic barriers might be an effective way to enhance roadside air quality and reduce human exposure to vehicular pollution. This study was conducted in order to uncover the best-cultivated plant species for purifying polluted air in terms of environmental parameters. The samples for this study were obtained from several locations throughout Jeddah governorate streets. The main causes of air pollution in the study area are traffic and automobile emissions. Photosynthetic pigments, soluble sugars, soluble protein, amino acids, and proline in plant extracts were investigated in the plant species used in this study. Also, the ionic composition (K, na Ca and Mg), as well as the heavy metals (Zn, Cr, ni, Cd, Pb, Co and Ba) in the sampling sites, as well as roots and leaves of the collected plant samples were all assessed. Plant examination revealed that I. coccinea possessed the highest value of Chl b, amino acid, prolin, soluble proteins and sugars, while T. stans exhibited the highest amount of Chl a, carotenoids. Furthermore, the most common contaminants in all sites were Zn, Ba, and ni, with Zn and Ba being the most actively accumulated in the leaves of the studied plants. The findings revealed that the root of C. lancifolius is a powerful phytoaccumulator of Zn, ni, and Co. In addition, C. lancifolius , I. coccinea , Z. spina-christi , and B. spectabilis were shown to exhibit high accumulating potential of various polluting metals in their roots. Also, Zn, Ba, ni, and Cr were the most efficiently transmitted metals to the leaves of the studied plants. Consequently, these plant species can be employed in phytoremediation approaches at contaminated sites.

The ubiquitous nature of the internet has made it easier for criminals to carry out illegal activities *** sale of illegal firearms and weaponry on dark web cryptomarkets is one such example of *** aid the law enforcement agencies in curbing the illicit trade of firearms on cryptomarkets,this paper has proposed an automated technique employing ensemble machine learning models to detect the firearms listings on *** this work,we have used partof-speech(PoS)tagged features in conjunction with n-gram models to construct the feature set for the ensemble *** studied the effectiveness of the proposed features in the performance of the classification model and the relative change in the dimensionality of the feature *** experiments and evaluations are performed on the data belonging to the three popular cryptomarkets on the Tor dark web from a publicly available *** prediction of the classification model can be utilized to identify the key vendors in the ecosystem of the illegal trade of *** information can then be used by law enforcement agencies to bust firearm trafficking on the dark web.

Growing applied linguistics research has discussed the upsurge of the usage of Arabic language among Arabic speakers in the United States （Bale, 2010; Sehlaoui, 2008）; language contact and conflict among Arab Americans （AAs）（Rouchdy, 2002）; and how mobility--both virtual and physical--influences their identities （Duff, 2015） This study researches how AAs define their affiliation to the Arabic language in the United States to understand their attitudes on language variety and ethnic diversity, religion and identity, and stereotypes of Arabs. After analyzing interviews, all three AA participants self-selected their identity based on linguistic and physical contexts Thus, the findings suggest further research on AAs should consider cyber identity as a factor for bilingual speakers and compare it with Arabic speakers in their home country
