Backgroun. an. Aims: An.rogen.tic alopecia (AGA) is a common.form of hair loss in.both men.an. women. Despite its high prevalen.e an. associated patien. morbidity, the approved therapeutic option. are limited to fin.steride an. min.xidil. The presen. study is aimed at assessin. the efficacy of hair serum formulation. Trichosera®con.ain.n. Bon. marrow-derived mesen.hymal stromal cells con.ition.d media as an.active in.redien., for hair fall con.rol an. hair regrowth in.healthy In.ian.human.volun.eers. Methods: The product was made usin. a 20% con.en.ration.of 10X Con.ition.d Media alon. with excipien.s. The fin.l product was tested for physicochemical parameters, biomarkers, total protein.con.en. an. microbial limits as per our in.house specification.. Results: The primary irritation.patch test showed that the product is n.n.irritan. an. dermatologically safe. A clin.cal study on.40 subjects was con.ucted to evaluate the effectiven.ss of the bioactive formulation.in.hair fall con.rol an. hair regrowth in.healthy volun.eers. Phototrichogram measuremen. showed hair den.ity an. hair growth rate in.reased sign.fican.ly by 11.54% an. 18.66% at week 24. Hair ten.ile stren.th also in.reased sign.fican.ly by 41.10% at 12 weeks follow-up. Hair pull test, to see a reduction.in.pulled hair an. comb’s test to show a decrease in.hair fall sign.fican.ly improved from week 4 on.ards. There were n. sign.fican. adverse even.s in.respon.e to the product application. Con.lusion. It is con.luded that the hair serum product is completely safe on.direct application.to the scalp an. showed sign.fican. improvemen. in.the hair growth rate, hair den.ity, scalp con.ition.an. reduction.in.hair fall. .

Backgroun./Purpose: Multipoten. bon. marrow-derived mesen.hymal stromal cells (BMMSC) have been.shown.to possess the poten.ial for tissue regen.ration. The application.of mesen.hymal stromal cells (MSC)-derived growth factors an. cytokin.s (GF/CKs) has been.implicated for the repair an. regen.ration.of the damaged skin.that occurs due to agin. an. exposure to en.iron.en.al stress factors. Methods: We have used both qualitative an. quan.itative measuremen.s of the GF/CKs from the con.ition.d medium (CM) of a pooled population.of BMMSC by an.ibody array an.lysis as well as by en.yme-lin.ed immun.sorben. assay (ELISA). Furthermore, the CM was also used in.a variety of in.vitro biological assays to measure its protective properties in.human.skin.fibroblasts. Results: We have characterized the secretome of BMMSC by an.lyzin. the composition.of the CM usin. a forty-on. growth factor array system. Thirteen.of these GF/CK/extra cellular matrix (ECM)/ matrix metalloprotein.ses (MMP)-in.ibitors in.the CM were quan.ified owin. to their in.olvemen. in.skin.repair cascade. In.addition. we report that the BMMSC-CM was also able to protect dermal fibroblasts again.t tert-Butyl hydro peroxide (tbOH) in.uced oxidative stress an. ultra violet B (UV-B) radiation.in.uced cell damage. Con.lusion. Based on.the data presen.ed here, we propose that BMMSC-derived CM may have the poten.ial to promote health an. rejuven.tion.of the agin. skin.

Aim: To evaluate the an.ifertility activity of the ethan.lic extract of Amalakyadi churn. by oral admin.stration.in.male albin. mice. Methods: The ethan.l extract of Amalakyadi churn. at the dose of 250 mg/kg an. 400 mg/ kg body weight was admin.stered orally for 30 days to adult male mice. On.day 31, the mice were sacrificed an. the testis an. accessory reproductive organ. were removed an. weighed. The organ. were processed for biochemical estimation.an. histological work. Results: Treatmen. with Amalakyadi churn. resulted in.decrease in.the weights of testis an. accessory reproductive organ.. The diameters of testis, semin.ferous tubules an. Leydig cell n.cleus were decreased. The spermatogen.c elemen.s, like spermatogon.a, spermatocytes an. spermatids in.the testis were reduced sign.fican.ly as well as the sperm coun. in.cauda epididymis. There was a sign.fican. reduction.in.the protein. glycogen. Dn. an. Rn. con.en.s an. the activity of acid phosphatase in.the testis of extract treated mice compared with the con.rol. The cholesterol con.en. an. the alkalin. phophatase activity were in.reased sign.fican.ly in.treated mice. Con.lusion. Amalakyadi churn. extract arrests spermatogen.sis in.male mice without n.ticeable side effects.
