The service facility or server is the k.y constituent to k.ep a system operational for desired period of time. As any eventuality with the system necessitates immediate presence of it (server) so the time point of arrival and treatment of server significantly affects the system performance. This paper work. out the steady state behavior of a cold standby system equipped with two similar units and a server with elapsed arrival and treatment times following general probability distributions. It practices the theory of semi-Mark.v processes, regenerative point technique and Laplace transforms to derive the expressions for state transition probabilities, mean sojourn times, mean time to system failure, system availability, server busy period and expected frequencies of repairs and treatments. The profit function is also developed tak.ng different costs and revenue in to account. For tracing wider applicability of the model for different reliability and cost-effective systems, a particular case study is also presented as an illustration.

Potassium phosphatoantimonates, k.b2PO8 （k.bPO） and k.b2PO8-xNy （k.bPON）, are prepared by solidstate method. Urea is employed as a source of nitrogen for N-doping. Structural, morphological and optical properties of both k.bPO and k.bPON are characterized by powder X-ray diffraction （PXRD）, scanning electron microscopy, energydispersive spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectroscopy. Both samples are found to crystallize in a monoclinic lattice with Cc space group. The d-lines of k.bPO and k.bPON are refined by least square fitting the PXRD data, using POWD software to obtain their unit cell parameters. The bandgap energy （Eg） of both pristine and N-doped k.bPO is found from their k.belk.-Munk.plot. The k.bPON/visible photocatalytic degradation of methylene blue and rhodamine B has been investigated in aqueous heterogeneous suspension. The generation of .OH in the presence of k.bPON during the photoreaction is verified by a fluorescence technique using terephthalic acid （TA） as a probe.

Direct-fed microbials（DFM）, generally regarded as safe status, are successfully used in improving rumen ecology, gastro-intestinal health, feed efficiency, milk.production and growth rate in ruminants. On the other hand, methanogenesis in rumen, which accounts for a significant loss of ruminant energy and increased greenhouse gas in environment, is of great concern, therefore, use of DFM for improving productivity without compromising the animal health and ecological sustainability is encouraged. The present study was conducted to investigate the methane reducing potential of bacteriocinogenic strain Pediococcus pentosaceus-34. Since, the culture showed no hemolysis on blood agar and DNase activity, hence, it was considered to be avirulent in nature, a prerequisite for any DFM. The culture also showed tolerance to pH 5.0 for 24 h with 0.5% organic acid mixture, whereas when given a shock.for 2 h at different p H and organic acids concentrations, it showed growth at pH 3.0 and 4.0 with 0.1 and 1.0% organic acids, respectively, as having good animal probiotics attributes. The total gas production was significantly（P〈0.05） higher in live pedicoccal culture（LPC） and dead pedicoccal culture（DPC） both with wheat straw, when compared to the control. In sugarcane bagasse, gas production was significantly lower（P〈0.05） with LPC compared to the control and DPC both. Methane was reduced by the inclusion of LPC in sugarcane bagasse（0.07 mL CH4 mg–1 dry matter digestibility） with no effect on other rumen fermentation parameters. However, with wheat straw and LPC total gas, in vitro dry matter digestibility, total volatile fatty acids increased significantly but no reduction in methane production was observed in comparison to the control. Therefore, further research is warranted in this direction, if the bacteriocinogenic strains can be used as DFM for ruminants to improve the ruminant productivity.

The magnetic particles of nick.l-zinc ferrite with chemical composition Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 were synthesized successfully by citrate precursor auto-combustion method using high purity nitrates and citric acid as chelating agent. The prepared powder of nick.l-zinc ferrites was sintered at 1000℃ for 1 hr to obtain good crystalline phase and was used for further study. The X-ray diffraction technique was employed to confirm the single phase formation of nick.l ferrite. The X-ray diffraction pattern shows the Bragg’s peak.which belongs to cubic spinel structure. The values of lattice constant, X-ray density, bulk.density, and porosity were calculated. The temperature dependence of the electrical conductivity plot shows the k.nk. which can be attributed to ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition. The activation energy obtained from resistivity plots in paramagnetic region is found to be more than that in ferrimagnetic region. The conduction mechanism in nick.l-zinc ferrite particles has been discussed on the basis of hopping of electrons.

This article presents some new results on the class SLMα of functions that are analytic in the open unit disc U = {z ：｜z｜〈 1} satisfying the conditions that f（0） =0, f＇（0）= 1, and α（1＋zf＇＇（z）/f＇（z）＋（1-α）zf＇（z）/f（z）∈p（U）for all z ∈ U, where αis a real number and p（z）=1＋r^2z^2/1-Tz-T^2z^2（z∈ U）. The number T = （1 -√5）/2 is such that T^2 = 1 ＋ T. The class SFLMa introduced by J. Dziok. R.k. Raina, and J. Sok.t [3, Appl. Math. Comput. 218 （2011）, 996-1002] is closely related to the classes of starlik. and convex functions. The article deals with several ideas and techniques used in geometric function theory and differential subordinations theory.

The present study was undertak.n to investigate the effect of dietary replacement of commonly used vegetable oil(sunflower oil, SFO) with n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids(PUFA) rich oil sources on broiler chick.n performance, carcass yield, meat fatty acid composition, k.eping quality and sensory attributes of meat. In the current experiment, 300 day-old k.ishibro broiler chick. were randomly distributed to 5 dietary groups(50 replicates with 6 chick. in each) prepared by replacing SFO(2% and 3% of diet during starter and finisher periods, respectively) with n-3 PUFA rich soybean oil(SO), mustard oil(MO), linseed oil(LO) or fish oil(FO) on weight basis. Variation in oil sources had no influence(P > 0.05) on performance and carcass yield. Supplementation of MO, LO or FO significantly(P k.n meat with n-3 PUFA without affecting the bird's performance and sensory characters of meat.

Mixed Copper substituted Nick.l nano-ferrites having the chemical formula Ni1-xCuxFe2O4 (where x = 0, 0.2, 0.4, 0.6, 0.8, 0.9 and 1.0) were synthesized by citrate gel technique. The crystal structure characterization and morphology were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM). An elemental composition of the samples were studied by energy dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS). Lattice parameter, X-ray density, Volume of the Unit Cell and The values of the hopping length for octahedral (dB) and tetrahedral (dA) sites were calculated. The observed results can be explained on the basis of composition.

Ni-Zn ferrite with a nominal composition of Ni1-xZnxFe2O4 (x = 0, 0.2, 0.6, 0.8, 0.9) are prepared by citrate gel method and characterized by X-ray diffraction. Magnetic properties of all samples are obtained by using VSM (Vibrating Sample Magnetometer) in the range of 10 k.e. The saturation magnetization values of the samples are carried out from the B-H loop. The effect of composition on saturation magnetization and magnetic moment are studied in this paper. The results showed that Saturation magnetization and magnetic moment values increases gradually as Zn2+ composition increases, it reaches maximum value 70.28 emu/gm for (x = 0.6) and decreases further with increasing Zn2+ composition.

BACk.ROUND Diabetes mellitus(DM)is a progressively increasing metabolic disorder and a significant public health burden that demands immediate global ***,there is a paucity of data about adherence to antidiabetic drugs among patients with type-2(T2)DM in Uttarak.and,*** research reported that more than 50%of patients do not adhere to the correct administration and appropriate medicine *** has been reported that patients with chronic diseases who adhere to treatment may experience improvement in quality of life(QoL)and vice *** To assess the adherence to antidiabetic medication and QoL among patients with *** This cross-sectional descriptive study was conducted at a tertiary care hospital in Uttarak.and,*** Medication Adherence Rating Scale and World Health Organization QoL-BREF scale were used to assess medication adherence and *** Two hundred seventy-seven patients suffering from T2DM participated in the *** mean age was 50.80(±10.6)years,155(56%)had a poor adherence level and 122(44%)had a good adherence level to antidiabetic *** adjusting for sociodemographic factors,multiple linear regression analysis found patients who were adherent to antidiabetic medications had significantly higher mean overall perception of QoL and overall perception of health,with beta scores of 0.36 and 0.34,respectively(both P=0.000)points compared with nonadherent *** There was an association between medication adherence and QoL in patients with ***,there is a need to plan awareness and counseling programs followed by regular follow-up to motivate patient adherence to recommended treatment and lifestyle regimens.
