This report describes triethylammonium acetate （TEAA） ionic liquid catalyzed one pot synthesis of 6-amino-4-aryl-5-cyano-3- methyl-1-phenyl-1,4-dihydropyrano [2,3-c]pyrazoles by the reaction of aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile and 3-methyl-1-phenyl-2- pyrazolin-5-one at room temperature. TEAA plays dual role as reaction media and catalyst. It can also be easily recovered and reused in several runs. TEAA provides greener reaction protocol to present methodology which obviates the need of organic solvents, expensive and toxic catalyst.

The regiospecific oxidation of alkyl group of both sterically hindered and unhindered aromatic amine to corresponding carbonyl compound was done in aq. medium by using DDQ. The optimized reaction protocol was found to be most simple, high yielding and novel method for oxidation of alkyl group of aromatic amine in to its carbonyl compound.

Biochar is a carbon-rich material obtained after thermochemical conversion of biomass under no oxygen *** effect of biochar amendment on soil properties,such as water retention,infiltration and desiccation crack potential was studied in the recent ***,the effect of biochar or feedstock type on these properties is not *** study investigates the effect of two different(in terms of feedstock)types of biochar on the water retention,infiltration and desiccation crack-ing behavior of compacted silty *** retention characteristics,infiltration rate and the progression of desiccation cracks were measured after compacting soil amended with 5-10%(w/w)biochar produced from water hyacinth(WHB)and *** were also taken for an unpyrolyzed material coir pith(CP,sourced from coconut husk)-amended soil for comparing the results of biochar-amended *** results show that the amendment of 5%to 10%biochar increased the maximum water holding capacity(θs),air entry value(AEV)and water content at 1500 kPa(θ1500)of the soil,whereas decreased the infiltration rate and peak crack intensity factor(CIF)of the ***,the application of CP increased the infiltration *** amendment of WHB showed the highest increment in AEV andθ1500 and the highest decrement in infiltration rate and CIF compared to the other *** on the results,it is advisable to use the WHB-amended soil in bioengineered structures that could promote the growth of vegetation by higher water retention and could reduce the potential of leachate formation by decreasing water infiltration and desiccation crack potential.

Broadcasting is a basic technique in Mobile ad-hoc network(MANET),and it refers to sending a packet from one node to every other node within the transmission *** is a type of broadcast where the received packet is retransmitted once by every *** naive flooding technique,floods the network with query messages,while the random walk technique operates by contacting the subsets of every node’s neighbors at each step,thereby restricting the search *** of the key challenges in an ad-hoc network is the resource or content discovery problem which is about locating the queried *** earlier works have mainly focused on the simulation-based analysis of flooding,and its variants under a wired ***,there have been some empirical studies in peer-to-peer(P2P)networks,the analytical results are still lacking,especially in the context of P2P systems running over *** this paper,we describe how P2P resource discovery protocols perform badly over *** address the limitations,we propose a new protocol named ABRW(Address Broadcast Random Walk),which is a lightweight search approach,designed considering the underlay topology aimed to better suit the unstructured *** provide the mathematical model,measuring the performance of our proposed search scheme with different widely popular benchmarked search ***,we also derive three relevant search performance metrics,i.e.,mean *** steps needed to find a resource,the probability of finding a resource,and the mean *** message *** validated the analytical expressions through *** simulation results closely matched with our analyticalmodel,justifying our *** proposed search algorithm under such highly dynamic self-evolving networks performed better,as it reduced the search latency,decreased the overall message overhead,and still equally had a good success rate.

LC and LC–Ms/Ms studies for the identification and characterization of degradation products of acebutolol

The aim of the present investigation was to demonstrate an approach involving use of liquid chromatography(LC) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry(LC–Ms) to separate, identify and characterize very small quantities of degradation products(DPs) of acebutolol without their isolation from the reaction mixtures. The drug was subjected to oxidative, hydrolytic, thermal and photolytic stress conditions as per International Conference on Harmonization(ICH) guideline Q1 A(R2). Among all the stress conditions the drug was found to be labile in hydrolytic(acidic & basic) and photolytic stress conditions, while it was stable in water-induced hydrolysis, oxidative and thermal stress conditions. A total of four degradation products were formed. A C18 column was employed for the separation of all the DPs on a gradient mode by using high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). All the DPs were characterized with the help of their fragmentation pattern and the masses obtained upon LC–Ms/Ms and Msnanalysis. All the hitherto unknown degradation products were identified as 1-(2-(2-hydroxy-3-(isopropylamino)propoxy)-5-(amino)phenyl)ethanone(DP-I), N-(4-(2-hydroxy-3-(isopropylamino)propoxy)-3-acetylphenyl)acrylamide(DP-II), 1-(2-(2-hydroxy-3-(isopropylamino)propoxy)-5-(hydroxymethylamino)phenyl)ethanone(DP-III) and 1-(6-(2-hydroxy-3-(isopropylamino)propoxy)-2,3-dihydro-2-propylbenzo[d]oxazol-5-yl)ethanone(DP-IV). Finally the in-silico carcinogenicity and hepatotoxicity predictions of the drug and all the DPs were performed by using toxicity prediction softwares viz., TOPKAT, LAZAR and Discovery studio ADMET. The results of in-silico toxicity studies revealed that acebutolol(0.967) and DP-I(0.986) were found to be carcinogenic, while acebutolol(0.490) and DP-IV(0.437) were found to be hepatotoxic.

Investigating Microplastics and Nanoplastics Released from a Rubber Band Used for Orthodontic Treatment with Improved Raman Imaging Algorithms

Most teenagers experience orthodontic treatment,but we do not know the possible adverse effect of the released microplastics and nanoplastics that are recently categorized as emerging ***,we test the rubber band that has been employed to improve the biting of teeth during the orthodontic process to confirm the release of microplastics and *** improve the characterization of microplastics and nanoplastics by(i)Raman imaging,to extract and map the signal from the scanning spectrum matrix or the hyperspectral matrix and to enhance the signal-to-noise ratio *** effectively extract the signal,(ii)chemometrics such as principal component analysis(PCA)are explored to convert the hyperspectral matrix to an image with an increased *** nonsupervised PCA is intentionally corrected,via(iii)the algebra-based algorithm,to further increase the certainty to image the microplastics and *** the signal is weak,(iv)an additional algorithm of image reconstruction via deconvolution is developed to average the background noise and smooth the *** doing so,we estimate that millions of microplastics and nanoplastics are released daily in potential from a rubber band applied in a teenager's mouth,which might be a big ***,our approach provides a suitable option to characterize the microplastics and nanoplastics from a complex background.
