Aim:The aim was to study the role of jet force technology(JFT)in wound ***:This is a retrospective analysis of 18 cases of chronic nonhealing wounds in which JFT was *** wounds which had already undergone surgical debridement but which were not ready for reconstruction(skin graft/flap)secondary to a persistent bacterial load or infection(tissue culture positive)were included in the *** were divided into two *** 1 included those patients who were poor candidates for anesthesia or who refused for reconstruction and were managed with JFT *** 2 included those patients who were cleared for anesthesia and who were and who were managed with JFT and skin graft or flap *** time to negative wound cultures after JFT and the total duration of healing were ***:In both the groups,all tissue culture positive chronic wounds became negative after 2±1 weeks and were ready for *** Group 1(6 patients),the wounds completely healed in 5-6 weeks with JFT *** Group 2(12 patients),the wounds completely healed in 3-4 weeks with JFT and skin graft/***:Hydrotherapy with JFT helps in the removal of contaminants,debris,and microbial colonization of the wound leading to spontaneous wound healing and facilitating wound bed preparation for wound coverage by a skin graft or flap.

Fournier's gangrene or necrotizing fasciitis of the perineum scrotum and penis is a highly debilitating condition with a high mortality rate of 20% to 88% reported in the literature. Management is multimodal, and the importance of aggressive debridement, broad-spectrum antibiotics and intensive supportive care cannot be emphasised. The addition of newer modalities of ulcer/wound management like low level laser therapy, hydrojet debridement and platelet rich plasma can be used to augment the existing principles of management and reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with the condition. This article is the authors' experience with the condition and the above stated newer modalities in the management while staying true to the principles of management.

121Sir,Unburied K-wires left projecting from the fingers after hand surgery can lead to inadvertent injuries if left open,especially in children or disoriented patients,particularly at the time of reversal of anesthesia and in the immediate postoperative *** ways have been described to circumvent *** surgeons twist the K-wire on itself along with capping of the wire tip,but this requires considerable twisting force on an already inserted K-wire,which can lead to malalignment or even refracture.[1]Furthermore,the bent K-wire acts like a hook,catching onto dressing materials or clothes and subsequently may migrate out.

The oxidative dehydrogenation （ODH） of propane was conducted on gallium, aluminum, and chromium doped Si30VMgO catalysts. On doping, the concentrations of the phases responsible for the activity and selectivity increased in their concentrations. The reaction studies were conducted in a tubular steel reactor at temperatures of 753, 783, 813, and 843 K and atmospheric pressure. The total flow rates of the feed were chosen as 30, 40, 50, and 60 ml/min. The propane to oxygen ratios were chosen at 1 ： 1, 2 ： 1, and 3 ： 1, respectively. The effect of various dopants on the activity and selectivity of the catalysts was studied. Deactivation studies were conducted over all the catalysts. The kinetic data were analyzed in terms of power law models and Langmuir-Hinshelwood （LH） models. The kinetic data results were analyzed by comparing the effect of dopants. Statistical model discrimination was done for the proposed models. AIC and BIC criteria were used for discrimination of the models.

Contact electrification is a direct triboelectrification method for producing current through charge transfer when two different differentiated materials have brought into *** the first time,we developed a simple triboelectric nanogenerator(TENG)where the electronic charges were realized through contact separation mode between sand-polished Kapton(SPK)and Al ***,we demonstrated the energetic interfacial contact between these surfaces and observed satisfactory output *** novel SPK-TENG produced 40 V and 2.8μA,of open-circuit voltages(V_(oc))and short-circuit currents(Isc)at 4 Hz,***,the SPK-TENG was dramatically increased up the performance of TENG,up to 40% of V_(oc) and 42% of I_(sc),with respect to the Kapton film because the mobility of electrons is very high on the device surface compared to the other pristine Kapton *** fabricated SPK-TENGs were good candidates for satisfying the need for alternative contact separation mode TENGs.

Near Optimal PID Controllers for the Biped Robot While Walking on Uneven Terrains

The execution of the gaits generated with the help of a gait planner is a crucial task in biped locomotion. This task is to be achieved with the help of a suitable torque based controller to ensure smooth walk of the biped robot. It is important to note that the success of the developed proportion integration differentiation （PID） controller depends on the selected gains of the controller. In the present study, an attempt is made to tune the gains of the PID controller for the biped robot ascending and descending the stair case and sloping surface with the help of two non-traditional optimization algorithms, namely modified chaotic invasive weed optimization （MCIWO） and particle swarm optimization （PSO） algorithms. Once the optimal PID controllers are developed, a simulation study has been conducted in computer for obtaining the optimal tuning parameters of the controller of the biped robot. Finally, the optimal gait angles obtained by using the best controller are fed to the real biped robot and found that the biped robot has successfully negotiated the said terrains.
