Hypertension is currently one of the most prevalent il nesses worldwide,and is the second most common cause of heart failure,only behind ischemic *** development of novel multimodality imaging techniques in recent years has broadened the diagnostic methods,risk stratification and monitoring of treatment of cardiovascular diseases available for *** magnetic resonance(CMR) has a great capacity to evaluate cardiac dimensions and ventricular function,is extremely useful in ruling-out ischemic cardiomyopathy,the evaluation of the vascular system,in making the differential diagnosis for resistant hypertension and risk stratification for hypertensive cardiomyopathy and constitutes today,the method of choice to evaluate left ventricular systolic *** tomography(CT) is the method of choice for the evaluation of vascular anatomy,including coronary arteries,and is also able to provide both functional and structural ***,nuclear cardiology studies have been traditionally used to evaluate myocardial ischemia,along with offering the capacity to evaluate ventricular,endothelial and cardiac innervation function;information that is key in directing the treatment of the *** this narrative review,the most recent contributions of multimodality imaging to the patient with hypertension(CMR,CT and nuclear cardiology) will be reviewed.

Dear editor,The incidence of emergency department(ED)visits from gastroparesis and cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome has increased by two folds over the past decade.[1-3]Roldan et al[4]reported that patients with these conditions often have prolonged ED stays and are likely to be hospitalized because of the danger of dehydration and challenges inherent in relieving *** analgesia is a particularly troublesome treatment modality;these conditions are often chronic with frequent recurrences,and repeated opiate therapy can cause opioid dependency and narcotic bowel syndrome.[5]Haloperidol(HP)and droperidol,members of the butyrophenone class,have potent antidopaminergic activity in the chemoreceptor trigger zone.[6,7]Intramuscular administration of HP is being used increasingly in the ED to treat nausea,vomiting secondary to gastroparesis,[6]intractable vomiting,[8]and cyclical vomiting.

On the generalized Hermite-based lattice Boltzmann construction, lattice sets, weights,moments, distribution functions and high-order models

The influence of the use of the generalized Hermite polynomial on the Hermite-based lattice Bofiz- mann （LB） construction approach, lattice sets, the thermal weights, moments and the equilibrium distribution function （EDF） are addressed. A new moment system is proposed. The theoretical possibility to obtain a unique high-order Hermite-based singel relaxation time LB model capable to exactly inatch some first hydrodynamic inoments thermally i） on-Cartesian lattice, ii） with thermal weights in the EDF, iii） whilst the highest possible hydrodynamic moments that are exactly reatched are obtained with the shortest on-Cartesian lattiee sets with some fixed real-valued temperatures, is also analyzed.

Temozolomide and capecitabine regimen as first-line treatment in advanced gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors at a Latin American reference center

BACKGROUND Numerous studies have indicated that the temozolomide and capecitabine regimen(TEMCAP)exhibits a certain level of efficacy in treating advanced,welldifferentiated gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors(GEP-NET).However,published data from Peru are *** hypothesize that this regimen could be a viable therapeutic option for advanced GEP-NET in the Peruvian *** To evaluate overall survival(OS)in patients diagnosed with advanced GEP-NET treated with TEMCAP at the Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas(INEN)in Lima-Perú.METHODS A retrospective review was conducted to identify patients with GEP-NEN treated with the TEMCAP regimen between 2011 and 2021 at the INEN.A total of thirtyeight patients were included in the final analysis:Thirty-five received TEMCAP as a first-line treatment,and three as a second-line *** primary objective was to evaluate *** efficacy and safety of TEMCAP were assessed until the occurrence of unacceptable toxicity or disease *** outcomes were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier *** The median age of the patients was 52 years(range 24-77 years),and 53.3%were *** most common symptoms at diagnosis were abdominal pain in 31 patients(81.6%).Primary tumors included 12 in the rectum(31.6%),11 in the pancreas(28.9%),3 in the ileum(7.9%),2 in the mesentery(5.3%),2 in the small intestine(5.3%),1 in the appendix(2.6%),1 in the stomach(2.6%)and 6 cases of liver metastasis of unknown primary(15.8%).Five were neuroendocrine tumors(NET)G1(13.2%),33 were NET G2(86.8%),five had Ki67<3%(13.2%),and 33 had Ki67 between 3%and 20%(86.8%).TEMCAP was administered to 35(92.1%)patients as first-line *** at 12,36,and 60 months was estimated in 80%,66%,and 42%,respectively,with a median OS of 49 *** TEMCAP therapy is a viable first-line option regarding efficacy and tolerability in areas where standard therapy is inaccessible.

Mapping frequent spatio-temporal wind profile patterns using multi-dimensional sequential pattern mining

Holistic understanding of wind behaviour over space,time and height is essential for harvesting wind energy *** study presents a novel approach for mapping frequent wind profile patterns using multidimensional sequential pattern mining(MDSPM).This study is illustrated with a time series of 24 years of European Centre for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts European Reanalysis-Interim gridded(0.125°×0.125°)wind data for the Netherlands every 6 h and at six height *** wind data were first transformed into two spatio-temporal sequence databases(for speed and direction,respectively).Then,the Linear time Closed Itemset Miner Sequence algorithm was used to extract the multidimensional sequential patterns,which were then visualized using a 3D wind rose,a circular histogram and a geographical *** patterns were further analysed to determine their wind shear coefficients and turbulence intensities as well as their spatial overlap with current areas with wind *** analysis identified four frequent wind profile *** of them highly suitable to harvest wind energy at a height of 128 m and 68.97%of the geographical area covered by this pattern already contains wind *** study shows that the proposed approach is capable of efficiently extracting meaningful patterns from complex spatio-temporal datasets.

Membrane Trafficking in Plant Immunity

Plants employ sophisticated mechanisms to interact with pathogenic as well as beneficial microbes. Of those, membrane trafficking is key in establishing a rapid and precise response. Upon interaction with pathogenic microbes, surface-localized immune receptors undergo endocytosis for signal transduction and activity regulation while cell wall components, antimicrobial compounds, and defense proteins are delivered to pathogen invasion sites through polarized secretion. To sustain mutualistic associations, host cells also reprogram the membrane trafficking system to accommodate invasive structures of symbi- otic microbes. Here, we provide an analysis of recent advances in understanding the roles of secretory and endocytic membrane trafficking pathways in plant immune activation. We also discuss strategies deployed by adapted microbes to manipulate these pathways to subvert or inhibit plant defense.

This paper draws lessons learnt from a comprehensive case study in overconsolidated clay. Apart from the introduction of the case study, including field measurements, the paper draws on the observations and a three-dimensional（3 D） numerical analysis to discuss the implications of observations in the application of the observational method（OM） in the context of the requirements of EUROCODE 7（EC7）.In particular, we focus on corner effects and time-dependent movements and provide initial guidance on how these could be considered. Additionally, we present the validation of a new set of parameters to check that it provides a satisfactory compliance with EC7 as a set of design parameters. All these findings and recommendations are particularly important for those who want to use the OM in similar future projects.

Sharp Bounds for Fractional One-sided Operators

In this paper, we characterize the sharp boundedness of the one-sided fractional maximal function for one-weight and two-weight inequalities. Also a new two-weight testing condition for the one-sided fractional maximal function is introduced extending the work of Martin-Reyes and de la Torre. Improving some extrapolation result for the one-sided case, we get weak sharp bounded estimates for one-sided fractional maximal function and weak and strong sharp bounded estimates for one-sided fractional integral.
