A Dvali–Gabadadze–Porrati(DGP)brane-world model with perfect fluid brane matter including a Brans-Dicke(BD)scalar field on brane was utilized to investigate the problem of the quark-hadron phase(QHP)transition in early evolution of the *** presence of the BD scalar field arises with several modified terms in the Friedmann *** the behavior of the phase transition strongly depends on the basic evolution equations,even a small change in these relations might lead to interesting results about the time of *** phase transition is investigated in two scenarios,namely the first-order phase transition and smooth crossover phase *** the first-order scenario,which is used for the intermediate temperature regime,the evolution of the physical quantities,such as temperature and scale factor,are investigated before,during,and after the phase *** results show that the transition occurs in about a *** the following part,the phenomenon is studied by assuming a smooth crossover transition,where the lattice QCD data is utilized to obtain a realistic equation for the state of the *** investigation for this part is performed in the high and low-temperature *** the trace anomaly in the high-temperature regime specifies a simple equation of state,which states that the quark-gluon behaves like ***,in the low-temperature regime,the trace anomaly is affected by discretization effects,and the hadron resonance gas model is utilized *** this model,a more realistic equation of state is found in the low-temperature *** crossover phase transition in both regimes is *** results determine that the transition lasts around a few ***,the transition in the low-temperature regime occurs after the transition in the high-temperature regime.

Geochemical evidences of trace metal anomalies for finding hydrocarbon microseepage in the petroliferous regions of the Tatipaka and Pasarlapudi areas of Krishna Godavari Basin,India

The long-term seepage of hydrocarbons, either as macroseepage or microseepage, can set up near-surface oxidation reduction zones that favor the development of a diverse array of chemical and mineralogical changes. The bacterial oxidation of light hydrocarbons can directly or indirectly bring about significant changes in the values of pH and Eh of the surrounding environment, thereby also changing the stability fields of the different mineral species present in that environment. The paper reports the role of hydrocarbon microseepage in surface alterations of trace metal concentrations. In this study trace metal alterations were mapped that appear to be associated with hydrocarbon microseepages in the oil/ gas fields. A total of 50 soil samples were collected near oil and gas fields of the Tatipaka and Pasarlapudi areas of the Krishna Godavari Basin, Andhra Pradesh. The soil samples were collected from a depth of 2-2.5 m. The paper reports the chemical alterations associated with trace metals in soils that are related to hydrocarbon microseepages above some of the major oil and gas fields of this petroliferous region. Trace metals, such as scandium （Sc）, vanadium （V）, chromium （Cr）, cobalt （Co）, nickel （Ni）, copper （Cu）, zinc （Zn）, barium （Ba） and strontium （Sr）, in soil samples were analyzed using inductively coupled plasma- mass spectrometry （ICP-mS）. The concentrations of Sc （8 to 40 mg/kg）, V （197 to 489 mg/kg）, Cr （106 to 287 mg/kg）, Co （31 to 52 mg/kg）, Ni （65 to 110 mg/kg）, Cu （88 to 131 mg/kg）, Zn （88 to 471 mg/kg）, Ba （263 to 3,091 mg/kg） and Sr （119 to 218 mg/kg） were obtained. It was observed that the concentrations of trace elements were tremendously increased when they were compared with their normal concentrations in soils. The analysis of adsorbed soil gas showed the presence of high concentrations of YC2＋（C2H6, C3H8 and n-C4H10） ranging from 7 to 222 μg/kg respectively. Warm tachyon inflation and swampland criteria

In this study,the scenario of a two-component warm tachyon inflation is considered,where the tachyon field plays the role of the inflaton by driving the *** inflation,the tachyon scalar field interacts with the other component of the Universe,which is assumed to be photon gas,i.e.,*** interacting term contains a dissipation coefficient,and the study is modeled based on two different and familiar choices of the coefficient that were studied in the *** employing the latest observational data,the acceptable ranges for the free parameters of the model are *** any choice within the estimated ranges,there is an acceptable concordance between the theoretical predictions and *** the model is established based on several assumptions,it is crucial to verify their validity for the obtained values of the free parameters of the *** is found that the model is not self-consistent for all values of the ranges,and for some cases,the assumptions are ***,to achieve both self-consistency and agreement with the data,the parameters of the model must be ***,we consider the recently proposed swampland conjecture,which imposes two conditions on the inflationary *** criteria rule out some inflationary models;however,warm inflation is among those that successfully satisfy the swampland *** conduct a precise investigation,which indicates that the proposed warm tachyon inflation cannot satisfy the swampland criteria for some *** fact,for the first case of the dissipation coefficient,in which,there is dependency only on the scalar field,the model agrees with observational ***,it is in direct tension with the swampland ***,for the second case,wherein the dissipation coefficient has a dependency on both the scalar field and temperature,the model exhibits acceptable agreement with observational data,and suitably satisfies the swampland criteria.

科威特科学研究所海水养殖场养殖的巨石斑鱼(Epinephelus tauvina)和银黑鲷(Acanthopagrus cuvieri)患过多种疾病。在原生动物刺激隐核虫(Cryptocaryon irritans)刚暴发时,养殖在混凝土池塘中的巨石斑鱼幼鱼就有50％以上死亡。用福尔马林药物(35—50毫克/升、5小时/天、一星期两次)来控制和阻止病情的发展。福尔马林治疗过的实验鱼又几次遭这寄生虫的侵袭,但没再死鱼。巨石斑鱼还患有严重的眼病,病症为眼球突出和角膜不透明。养在玻璃纤维桶中的鱼仅35％没患此特发病。1985年7—11月,开放式网箱中的银黑鲷除有些烂鳍外没别的病症。烂鳍随着养殖密度的增加而增加。1986年冬天,发生了另一种病,当时平均水温14.8℃,65％的鱼死亡,从患病死的银黑鲷中分离到弧菌,有Vibrio anguillaran,***、***、***和另三种弧菌。1987年8月,网箱养殖的银黑鲷发生与峡部损伤有关的死亡。在饵料中加入维生素C(500毫克/公斤)喂养后,这种病症就没再出现。

Validation of a method for Characterization of Ethanol in Water by HS-GC-FID to Serve the Traceability of Halal measurements

The determination of the ethanol content in food products is of fundamental importance for HALAL certification. In this work, an analytical method for the determination of ethanol in water by headspace gas chromatography with flame ionization detector (HS-GC-FID) has been developed and validated for the use in characterization of ethanol reference materials. The validation study was carried out in the linear calibration range 100 - 1500 mg/kg using the NIST SRm 2900, nominal 95.6%. The studied performance characteristics of the method were the limit of detection, LOD, the limit of quantification LOQ, selectivity, linearity, precision, recovery and bias. The validation results showed that the method is selective, precise, accurate and free from any significant bias. The LOD and LOQ were 1.27 and 3.86 mg/kg respectively and the estimated expanded uncertainty was 2% indicating that the method is fit for the purpose of certification of ethanol in water reference materials.

Detecting malicious Uniform Resource Locators(URLs)is crucially important to prevent attackers from committing *** researches have investigated the role of machine learning(mL)models to detect malicious *** using mL algorithms,rst,the features of URLs are extracted,and then different mL models are *** limitation of this approach is that it requires manual feature engineering and it does not consider the sequential patterns in the ***,deep learning(DL)models are used to solve these issues since they are able to perform featureless ***,DL models give better accuracy and generalization to newly designed URLs;however,the results of our study show that these models,such as any other DL models,can be susceptible to adversarial *** this paper,we examine the robustness of these models and demonstrate the importance of considering this susceptibility before applying such detection systems in real-world *** propose and demonstrate a black-box attack based on scoring functions with greedy search for the minimum number of perturbations leading to a *** attack is examined against different types of convolutional neural networks(CNN)-based URL classiers and it causes a tangible decrease in the accuracy with more than 56%reduction in the accuracy of the best classier(among the selected classiers for this work).moreover,adversarial training shows promising results in reducing the inuence of the attack on the robustness of the model to less than 7%on average.

Background: Confusion often arises in caring for diabetic foot infections and ulcers, especially with antimicrobials;we aim to shed light on this entity and alert healthcare workers to its stewardship. methods: Records were reviewed between February 2016 and September 2023. Data for patients diagnosed with diabetes and foot ulcers, infected or not, were examined following ICD 9 search terms. Records for patients were included if they were prediabetic/diabetic adults with foot ulcers, more than 18 years old, and on antidiabetic treatment. Patients were excluded if they insulin resistant, with normal HgbA1c levels, wheel-chair dependent, bed-bound, non-diabetic patients, diabetic patients who had vascular lower limb surgery earlier to ulcers, diabetic patients who had aortocoronary bypass, deep venous thrombosis within six months, malignancy, and severe clinical depression. A modified IWGDF/IDSA guidelines definitions for DFI and DFU was considered. Statistical analysis was done using R programming. Statistical methods were employed as appropriate, and a significant P-value was considered for P Results: most characteristics were well balanced between DFI and DFU, on imaging osteomyelitis and tissue swelling were significantly more in DFI. Endovascular radiological procedures showed angiograms to be considerably more in DFI, while angioplasty was more in DFU, in addition to smoking. Bacteremia was uncommon, and swab cultures were mostly polymicrobial in both ulcers;no clear association with blood bacteria was detected with the polymicrobial growth, though few were concordant. Antimicrobials prescribed for both ulcers were not statistically different except for carbapenems, which were more in DFI (P Conclusion: Attention should be paid to best practices while caring for diabetic ulcers. These include swab culture interpretations, the use of antimicrobials, and plan management according to DFI or DFU to utilize either local care or combination with antimicrobials.

Effect of medicinal plants on moraxella cattarhalis

Objective:To determine the antimoraxella activity of Ethiopian medicinal plants extracts. methods:Two clinical isolates of moraxella cattarhalis(***) with different antibiotic sensitivity pattern were tested to determine their susceptibility to garlic[Allium sativum(A. sativum)],bark of cinnamon[Cinnamomum zeylanicum(***)],clove[Syzygium aromaticum(***)],and leaves of avocado[Persea americana(***)], rosemary[Rosmarinus of ficinalis(*** ficinalis)]and prickly poppy[Argemone mexicana(A. mexicana)].Disk diffusion assay and broth dilution method were used to measure zone of inhibition,minimum inhibitory concentration(mIC) and minimum bactericidal concentration (mBC) of plant extracts against ***:Both the strains of *** exhibited similar sensitivities to the extracts of medicinal *** activity was exhibited only by garlic,avocado leaves and *** was found to be more antagonistic to *** than cinnamon and *** and avocado leaves have shown similar mIC(30 mg/mL) where as their zone of inhibition(15 and 11 mm,respectively) were different. Conclusions:Garlic,cinnamon and avocado leaves extracts represents alternative source of natural antimicrobial substances for use in clinical practice for the treatment of cases of m. *** research on the effects of these extracts on *** can be rewarding to pursue in the search for new broad spectrum antimicrobial agents.

Nonparametric(distribution-free)control charts have been introduced in recent years when quality characteristics do not follow a specific *** the sample selection is prohibitively expensive,we prefer ranked-set sampling over simple random sampling because ranked set sampling-based control charts outperform simple random sampling-based control *** this study,we proposed a nonparametric homogeneously weighted moving average based on theWilcoxon signed-rank test with ranked set sampling(NPHWmARSS)control chart for detecting shifts in the process location of a continuous and symmetric *** Carlo simulations are used to obtain the run length characteristics to evaluate the performance of the proposed NPHWmARSS control *** proposed NPHWmARSS control chart’s performance is compared to that of parametric and nonparametric control *** control charts include the exponentially weighted moving average(EWmA)control chart,Wilcoxon signed-rank with simple random sampling based the nonparametric EWmA control chart,the nonparametric EWmA sign control chart,Wilcoxon signed-rank with ranked set sampling-based the nonparametric EWmA control chart,and the homogeneously weighted moving average control *** findings show that the proposed NPHWmARSS control chart performs better than its competitors,particularly for the small ***,an example is presented to demonstrate how the proposed scheme can be implemented practically.
