In the field of biomass estimation,terrain radiometric calibration of airborne polarimetric SAR data for forested areas is an urgent *** area correction ofσ-naught could not completely remove terrain *** by Small and Shimada,this paper tested gamma-naught on one mountainous forested area using airborne Uninhabited Aerial Vehicle Synthetic Aperture Radar data and found it could remove most terrain ***,a systematic increasing trend from far range to near range is found in airborne SAR *** paper made an attempt to use the relationship between distance to SAR sensor andγ-naught to calibrateγ-*** quantitative evaluation methods are *** results demonstrate that variation ofγ-naught can be constrained to a limited extent from near range to far *** this method is based on ground range images,it avoids complicated orthorectification.

A much larger amount of bonded hydrogen was found in thick nanocrystalline diamond （NCD） films produced by only adding 0.24% N2 into 4% CH4/H2 plasma, as compared to the high quality transparent microcrystalline diamond （MCD） films, grown using the same growth parameters except for nitrogen. These experimental results clearly evidence that defect formation and impurity incorporation （for example, N and H） impeding diamond grain growth is the main formation mechanism of NCD upon nitrogen doping and strongly support the model proposed in the literature that nitrogen competes with CHx （x = 1, 2, 3） growth species for adsorption sites.

Hypertonic saline （HS） has been applied in several med- ical areas such as pneumology （asthma, cystic fibrosis and bronchiolytis）, endocrinology （hyponatremia） and especially in emergency medicine, in traumatic and in- flammatory/infectious disorders. It may be composed of 3% or 7.5% sodium chlorate. By far, 3% solution is the most widely studied and used solution （pinto et al., 2006, 2015; Dekker et al., 2014; Gantner et al., 2014; Shein et al., 2014）.

Mucocele of the appendix is a rare lesion, characterized by distension of the lumen due to accumulation of mucoid substance. This disease is often asymptomatic and pre-operative diagnosis is rare. If untreated, one type of mucocele may rupture producing a potentially fatal entity known as pseudomyxoma peritonei. The type of surgical treatment is related to the dimensions and to histology of the mucocele. Appendectomy is used for simple mucocele or for cystadenoma. Right hemi-colectomy is recommended for cystadenocarcinoma. In this paper, we report a case of a 51-year-old woman with a mobile, painless mass in the right lower quadrant of abdomen caused by a giant appendiceal mucocele. Imaging showed a larger tubular, cystic structure extending below from the inferior wall of the cecum. Surgery revealed a giant retro-cecal appendix measuring 17 cm in length and 4 cm in diameter. The final pathologic diagnosis was mucocele caused by mucinous cystadenoma.

Objective:To investigate the effect of administration of Passiflora glandulosa(***) fruit rinds flour on streptozotocin(STZ)-induced diabetic ***:The preliminary phytochemical screening and parameters such as centesimal composition and brine shrimp toxicity were *** in vivo study Swiss female mice were divided into four groups:NC-normal control;DC-diabetic control animals receiving saline;MET-diabetic animals receiving metformin(200 mg/kg);PFRF-diabetic animals receiving *** fruit rinds flour(200 mg/kg).All of them were treated for 28 *** was used in a single dose of 120 mg/kg to establish diabetic *** weight,water and food intake,fasting blood glucose were *** analysis of pancreas and liver were performed to evaluate STZ-induced tissue ***:Phytochemical screening showed the presence of flavanones and *** *** fruit rinds flour was non-toxic by the brine shrimp *** fruit rinds flour also reduced the loss of body weight and significantly decreased food intake in the diabetic ***,a significant reduction in blood glucose was observed for 15 d and this was maintained on 21 d and 28 d when compared with diabetic ***,the *** fruit rinds flour has a favourable effect on the histopathological changes of the pancreas in STZ induced ***:It is concluded that *** fruit rinds flour is a natural product that contains potent antioxidant compounds and presents good prospects for the improvement of diabetic mellitus by reducing serum glucose levels.
