The possible source of uranium mineralization in felsic volcanic rocks,Eastern Desert,Egypt of the Arabian-Nubian Shield:Constraints from whole-rock geochemistry and spectrometric prospection

The present work deals with the detailed geology,mineralogy,geochemistry,and spectrometric prospection of the felsic volcanic rocks at the Eastern Desert,Egypt of the Arabian-Nubian Shield.Felsic volcanic rocks are an essential source for rare earth elements(REEs)and uranium occurrences in this area.They are compositionally uniform with tholeiitic to calc-alkaline affinities,peraluminous and belong to the series of rhyolite with high-K melt.They exhibit more enrichment in high field strength elements(HFSE,e.g.Zr,Ta,Nd,Th,and U)and large-ion lithophile elements(LILE,e.g.Pb and Rb)compared to the country rocks of the studied area,with REE ranging from 188.20 to 442.70 ppm and strong depletion in Ti,Sr,P with deep negative Eu oddities.The felsic volcanic rocks were mostly generated from the partial melting of quartz-amphibolite facies accreted during the Neoproterozoic.Positive oddities of Zr-U-Th for the felsic volcanic rocks determine the involvement of crustal materials.Felsic volcanic rocks are found in A-type suites of magma and represent highly fractionated rocks derived from rhyolitic magma,with insignificant interaction with continental crust in the low-pressure environment and during fractional crystallization.Felsic volcanic rocks have higher values of radioactivity in which eU range from 0.5 to 121 ppm and eTh from 1.0 to 415.10 ppm.The high values of eU and eTh can be ascribed to the mineralization of uranium and the presence of accessory minerals of radiogenic nature such as uranophane,uranothorite,zircon,and monazite.Uranophane is considered as the mineral with most enriched uranium contents in the studied felsic volcanic rocks in which(UO2=87.30 wt%).Also,they are enriched with REE-bearing accessory minerals comprising allanite,titanite,and apatite.The geological investigations of the felsic volcanic rocks in the studied areas are inappropriate to clear the feasible economic potentialities of rare earth elements and U occurrences;itemized and invaluable explorational work is as yet needed.Whilst,the e

Neuroprotective effect of liraglutide and memantine in a rat model of Alzheimer’s disease

Objective:To assess the effect of memantine combined with liraglutide on aluminum chloride(AlCl_(3))and D-galactose(D-GAL)-induced neurotoxicity in rats.methods:male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups of 5 animals each:the positive control,the negative control,the memantine-treated group,the liraglutide-treated group,and the combination group treated with memantine and liraglutide.AlCl_(3)and D-GAL were used to induce neurotoxicity.Behavioral tests,brain beta-amyloid protein,and oxidative stress biomarkers were evaluated.Results:The morris water maze test indicated an enhanced memory in the combination group.moreover,the combination treatment of liraglutide and memantine resulted in a remarkable reduction in the beta-amyloid protein level in the brain tissue.Neuronal inflammation and oxidative stress biomarkers were significantly reduced,and the levels of antioxidant parameters were enhanced.Conclusions:The combination of liraglutide and memantine exerts neuroprotective effects and enhances memory and cognitive functions in rats with Alzheimer’s disease.

A New Hybrid model for Segmentation of the Skin Lesion Based on Residual Attention U-Net

Skin segmentation participates significantly in various biomedical applications,such as skin cancer identification and skin lesion detection.This paper presents a novel framework for segmenting the skin.The framework contains two main stages:The first stage is for removing different types of noises from the dermoscopic images,such as hair,speckle,and impulse noise,and the second stage is for segmentation of the dermoscopic images using an attention residual U-shaped Network(U-Net).The framework uses variational Autoencoders(VAEs)for removing the hair noises,the Generative Adversarial Denoising Network(DGAN-Net),the Denoising U-shaped U-Net(D-U-NET),and Batch Renormalization U-Net(Br-U-NET)for remov-ing the speckle noise,and the Laplacian Vector median Filter(mLVmF)for removing the impulse noise.In the second main stage,the residual attention u-net was used for segmentation.The framework achieves(35.11,31.26,27.01,and 26.16),(36.34,33.23,31.32,and 28.65),and(36.33,32.21,28.54,and 27.11)for removing hair,speckle,and impulse noise,respectively,based on Peak Signal Noise Ratio(PSNR)at the level of(0.1,0.25,0.5,and 0.75)of noise.The framework also achieves an accuracy of nearly 94.26 in the dice score in the process of segmentation before removing noise and 95.22 after removing different types of noise.The experiments have shown the efficiency of the used model in removing noise according to the structural similarity index measure(SSIm)and PSNR and in the segmentation process as well.

In this new information era,the transfer of data and information has become a very important matter.Transferred data must be kept secured from unauthorized persons using cryptography.The science of cryptography depends not only on complex mathematical models but also on encryption keys.Amino acid encryption is a promising model for data security.In this paper,we propose an amino acid encryption model with two encryption keys.The first key is generated randomly using the genetic algorithm.The second key is called the protein key which is generated from converting DNA to a protein message.Then,the protein message and the first key are used in the modified Playfair matrix to generate the cypher message.The experimental results show that the proposed model survives against known attacks such as the Brute-force attack and the Ciphertext-only attack.In addition,the proposed model has been tested over different types of characters including white spaces and special characters,as all the data is encoded to 8-bit binary.The performance of the proposed model is compared with other models using encryption time and decryption time.The model also balances all three principles in the CIA triad.

Effect of mesenchymal stem cells on anti-Thy1,1 induced kidney injury in albino rats

Objective:To evaluate the effect of mesenchymal stem cells(mSCs)in rats with anti-Thy 1,1nephritis.methods:Female albino rats were divided into three groups,control group,anti-Thy 1,1group and treatment with i.v.mSCs group.mSCs were derived from bone marrow of male albino rats,Y—chromosome gene was detected by polymerase chain reaction in the kidney.Serum urea and creatinine were estimated for all groups.Kidney of all studied groups was examined histologically and histochemically(total carbohydrates and total proteins).DNA fragmentation and expression ofα-SmA were delected.Results:Kidney of animals injected with anti-Thy 1,1showed inflammatory leucocytic infiltration,hypertrophied glomeruli,tubular necrosis and congestion in the renal blood vessels.The kidney tissue also showed reduction of carbohydrates and total proteins together with increase in apoptosis and in expression ofα-SmA.moreover,the levels of urea and creatinine were elevated.Treating animals with mSCs revealed that kidney tissue displayed an improvement in the histological and histochemical changes.Apoptosis andα-SmA expression were decreased,and the levels of urea and creatinine decreased.Conclusions:The obtained results demonstrated the potential of mSCs to ameliorate the structure and function of the kidney in rats with anti-Thy 1,1 nephritis possibly through the release of paracrine growth factor(s).

Optimal performance of water-oil axial jet pump in an egyptian offshore oil field

The jet pump is an artificial lift employed when the reservoir pressure declines and the well deviation increases.The use of computer well models for optimizing the oil well output has proven to be a suc-cessful strategy,and has helped increasing the efficiency and production of numerous wells.The objective of this study was to use a production optimization technique that achieves some improve-ments,and recommend approaches toward increasing the oil well production.The effects of the motive fluid flow rate and pressure on the oil production rate were investigated to determine the optimal in-jection rate and pressure on the performance of the deep well water-oil axial jet-pump.Additionally,the effects of the well-head pressure,water cut,and roughness of tubing on oil production of this jet pump type were investigated.The results revealed that the impact on the oil lift performance is significant.The oil production increased by 19.43%,and the optimal economic value for the injection rate and pressure for the GA-1A well are 744.44 BFPD and 2722.22 psig,respectively.In summary,increasing the tubing roughness decreased the well's total liquid production.Thus,maintaining the well integrity is a very important factor because not doing so can lower the productivity by up to 20%-25%.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)provide a reliable and energyefficient solution for data collection from the Narrowband Internet of Things(NB-IoT)devices.However,the UAV’s deployment optimization,including locations of the UAV’s stop points,is a necessity to minimize the energy consumption of the UAV and the NB-IoT devices and also to conduct the data collection efficiently.In this regard,this paper proposes GainingSharing Knowledge(GSK)algorithm for optimizing the UAV’s deployment.In GSK,the number of UAV’s stop points in the three-dimensional space is encapsulated into a single individual with a fixed length representing an entire deployment.The superiority of using GSK in the tackled problem is verified by simulation in seven scenarios.It provides significant results in all seven scenarios compared with other four optimization algorithms used before with the same problem.Besides,the NB-IoT is proposed as the wireless communication technology between the UAV and IoT devices.

The fifth generation(5G)system is the forthcoming generation of the mobile communication system.It has numerous additional features and offers an extensively high data rate,more capacity,and low latency.However,these features and applications have many problems and issues in terms of security,which has become a great challenge in the telecommunication industry.This paper aimed to propose a solution to preserve the user identity privacy in the 5G system that can identify permanent identity by using Variable mobile Subscriber Identity,which randomly changes and does not use the permanent identity between the user equipment and home network.Through this mechanism,the user identity privacy would be secured and hidden.moreover,it improves the synchronization between mobile users and home networks.Additionally,its compliance with the Authentication and Key Agreement(AKA)structure was adopted in the previous generations.It can be deployed efficiently in the preceding generations because the current architecture imposes minimal modifications on the network parties without changes in the authentication vector’s message size.moreover,the addition of any hardware to the AKA carries minor adjustments on the network parties.In this paper,the ProVerif is used to verify the proposed scheme.

Effects of variable properties on mHD heat and mass transfer flow near a stagnation point towards a stretching sheet in a porous medium with thermal radiation

The effect of variable viscosity and thermal conductivity on steady magnetohydrodynamic（mHD） heat and mass transfer flow of viscous and incompressible fluid near a stagnation point towards a permeable stretching sheet embedded in a porous medium are presented,taking into account thermal radiation and internal heat genberation/absorbtion.The stretching velocity and the ambient fluid velocity are assumed to vary linearly with the distance from the stagnation point.The Rosseland approximation is used to describe the radiative heat flux in the energy equation.The governing fundamental equations are first transformed into a system of ordinary differential equations using a scaling group of transformations and are solved numerically by using the fourth-order Rung-Kutta method with the shooting technique.A comparison with previously published work has been carried out and the results are found to be in good agreement.The results are analyzed for the effect of different physical parameters,such as the variable viscosity and thermal conductivity,the ratio of free stream velocity to stretching velocity,the magnetic field,the porosity,the radiation and suction/injection on the flow,and the heat and mass transfer characteristics.The results indicate that the inclusion of variable viscosity and thermal conductivity into the fluids of light and medium molecular weight is able to change the boundary-layer behavior for all values of the velocity ratio parameter λ except for λ = 1.In addition,the imposition of fluid suction increases both the rate of heat and mass transfer,whereas fluid injection shows the opposite effect.

Hydromagnetic flow of a Cu water nanofluid past a moving wedge with viscous dissipation

A numerical study is performed to investigate the flow and heat transfer at the surface of a permeable wedge immersed in a copper （Cu）-water-based nanofluid in the presence of magnetic field and viscous dissipation using a nanofluid model proposed by Tiwari and Das （Tiwari I K and Das m K 2007 Int. J. Heatmass Transfer 50 2002）. A similarity solution for the transformed governing equation is obtained, and those equations are solved by employing a numerical shooting technique with a fourth-order Runge-Kutta integration scheme. A comparison with previously published work is carried out and shows that they are in good agreement with each other. The effects of velocity ratio parameter ~, solid volume fraction tp, magnetic field m, viscous dissipation Ec, and suction parameter Fw on the fluid flow and heat transfer characteristics are discussed. The unique and dual solutions for self-similar equations of the flow and heat transfer are analyzed numerically. moreover, the range of the velocity ratio parameter for which the solution exists increases in the presence of magnetic field and suction parameter.
