In this study, a new method of synthesis of polyethylene glycol supported potassium tribromide （PEG KBr3） and its application in acylation and bromination reactions are reported. Ammonium persulphate oxidizes I（Br to the corresponding tribromide which is entrapped by polyethylene glycol leading to stable PEG KBr3. The reagent is proved to be highly efficient for the acylation of variety of alcohols and bromination of activated aromatic substrates. The method is a mild, one pot reaction and involves no use of toxic reagents.

This paper proposes to resolve optimal solar photovoltaic(SPV)system locations and sizes in electrical distribution networks using a novel Archimedes optimization algorithm(AOA)inspired by physical principles in order to minimize network dependence and greenhouse gas(GHG)emissions to the greatest extent *** sensitivity factors are used to predefine the search space for sites,and AOA is used to identify the optimal locations and sizes of SPV systems for reducing grid dependence and GHG emissions from conventional power *** with composite agriculture loads on a practical Indian 22-bus agricultural feeder,a 28-bus rural feeder and an IEEE 85-bus feeder demonstrated the critical nature of optimally distributed SPV systems for minimizing grid reliance and reducing GHG emissions from conventional energy ***,the voltage profile of the network has been enhanced,resulting in significant reductions in distribution *** results of AOA were compared to those of several other nature-inspired heuristic algorithms previously published in the literature,and it was observed that AOA outperformed them in terms of convergence and redundancy when solving complex,non-linear and multivariable optimization problems.

The solution of static deformation of two homogeneous, isotropic, and perfectly elastic half-spaces in welded contact due to a long dip-slip fault with uniform slip is well known. The aim of the present article is to obtain the static deformation of two homogeneous, isotropic, and perfectly elastic half-spaces in welded contact due to nonuniform slip along a long dip-slip fault. The fault is vertical and lies entirely in the lower half-space, extending up to the interface. Four slip profiles are considered： lin- ear, parabolic, elliptic, and cubic. Closed-form expressions for the elastic residual field have been ob- tained for the different slip profiles. The displacement field due to four nonuniform slip profiles is com- pared with the displacement field due to uniform slip. For comparison, we have assumed the source potency for different slip profiles to be the same, which is achieved by taking the fault slip at the inter- face constant and varying the fault width. It is found that the displacement field varies significantly at the fault width rather than at the interface. Moreover, uniform slip along the fault makes the edges singular. This singularity at the lower edge is not present in the case of nonuniform slip along a long dip-slip fault.

Hyperspectral images have wide applications in the fields of geology,mineral exploration,agriculture,forestry and environmental studies *** to their narrow band width with numerous ***,these images commonly suffer from atmospheric effects,thereby limiting their *** such a situation,atmospheric correction becomes a necessary pre-requisite for any further processing and accurate interpretation of spectra of different surface materials/*** the present study,two very advance atmospheric approaches *** and FLAASH have been applied on the hyperspectral remote sensing *** spectra of vegetation,man-made structure and different minerals from the Gadag area of Karnataka,were extracted from the raw image and also from the QUAC and FLAASH corrected *** spectra were compared among themselves and also with the existing USGS and JHU spectral *** is rigorous atmospheric algorithm and requires various parameters to perform but it has capability to compensate the effects of atmospheric *** absorption curves in any spectra play an important role in identification of the ***,the presence of unwanted absorption features can lead to wrong interpretation and identification of mineral *** also has an advantage of spectral polishing which provides smooth spectral curves which helps in accurate identification of composition of ***,this study recommends that FLAASH is better than QUAC for atmospheric correction and correct interpretation and identification of composition of any object or minerals.

Purpose-Brain tumor is one of the most dangerous and life-threatening *** order to decide the type of tumor,devising a treatment plan and estimating the overall survival time of the patient,accurate segmentation of tumor region from images is extremely *** process of manual segmentation is very timeconsuming and prone to errors;therefore,this paper aims to provide a deep learning based method,that automatically segment the tumor region from MR ***/methodology/approach-In this paper,the authors propose a deep neural network for automatic brain tumor(Glioma)*** normalization and data augmentation have been incorporated as pre-processing steps for the *** proposed model is trained on multichannel magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)*** model outputs high-resolution segmentations of brain tumor regions in the input ***-The proposed model is evaluated on benchmark BRATS 2013 *** evaluate the performance,the authors have used Dice score,sensitivity and positive predictive value(PPV).The superior performance of the proposed model is validated by training very popular UNet model in the similar *** results indicate that proposed model has obtained promising results and is effective for segmentation of Glioma regions in MRI at a clinical *** implications-The model can be used by doctors to identify the exact location of the tumorous ***/value-The proposed model is an improvement to the UNet *** model has fewer layers and a smaller number of parameters in comparison to the UNet *** helps the network to train over databases with fewer images and gives superior ***,the information of bottleneck feature learned by the network has been fused with skip connection path to enrich the feature map.
