Pregnancy is a unique physiological state in which several changes *** of the most important aspects is the maternal immune system,which sets to tolerate the presence of thedeveloping fetus(a semi-allogeneic organism),while at the same time providing protection against pathogens.1 Pregnancy has long been known to affect the risk of certain cancers including breast cancer in the short term,gestational trophoblastic disease(GTD),cervical cancer,and melanoma.2,3 The reasons for the increased risk of these cancers during pregnancy are not fully understood,but several hypotheses have been proposed as the hormonal and immune system changes.

Myelofibrosis (MF) represents the major long-term complication of essential thrombocythemia (ET). There is evidence that leukocytosis at diagnosis is associated with poorer survival in patients with ET. In this study, we retrospectively evaluated 143 patients with ET, diagnosed in agreement with WHO criteria, followed in a single centre over >10 years. Nine of them transformed into MF (post-essential thrombocythemia-myelofibrosis PET-MF). We compared PET-MF data at diagnosis with that of the remaining 134 patients (ET-1) and with a selected sub-group of ET-1 (ET-2, 19 pats) sex, age and follow-up duration matched to PET-MF. The PET-MF evolution rate was 4.6 per 1000 person-years;white blood cells count (WBC) count, haemoglobin levels and hematocrit were higher in PET-MF than in ET-1 (P = 0.01) while only WBC was higher than in ET-2 (P = 0.01). With multivariate analysis, only WBC count retained its signifi-cance. Our study highlights the prognostic relevance of leukocytosis on myelofibrotic transformation of ET.

We obtain some theorems for real increasing functions showing that elementary fixed point theory can bring to astonishing results by assuming only a few properties, some of which intrinsically possessed from these functions. An application is given for a theorem of quasi-compactness and a known result in posets is also recalled and applied to real intervals.

We obtain two generalizations of a known theorem of A. Alam and M. Imdad (J. Fixed Point Theory Appl. 17 (2015) 693-702) showing that some standard proofs can be obtained involving only Cauchy sequences of the successive approximations. Suitable examples prove the effective generalization of our results in metric spaces not necessarily complete.

采用座滴法考察了不同温度和气氛下Ni-56Si合金对SiC陶瓷的润湿和铺展行为。分析了固化后的液滴/SiC衬底界面和液滴表面的微结构和相组成。结果表明:该润湿体系于1350℃下在真空、1个大气压的静态或流动的Ar+5%(体积分数)H2的混合气3种气氛中均可获得优良的润湿性。在真空条件下,其铺展最快达到平衡,1350℃时的润湿性明显优于1100℃和1200℃,且在1100℃时的铺展过程与1350℃和1200℃有显著不同,即存在2种不同的铺展机制,这与SiC表面的润湿壁垒(SiO2层)的消除动力学有关。界面微结构分析进一步证实该系统的非反应润湿特性。

采用真空熔烧工艺在SiC陶瓷表面制备了3种化学成分的Mo-Ni-Si金属化涂层,研究了涂层的相组成和涂层/SiC陶瓷界面的微结构。通过座滴法实验考察了纯Ag在SiC 陶瓷涂层上的润湿与铺展特性,分析和讨论了Ag/金属化SiC陶瓷体系的界面行为。结果表明,该金属化涂层主要由Mo_5Si_3、MoSi_2、Ni_2Si、NiSi_2和MoNiSi组成,同时随着涂层中Mo金属由20%增加至40% (摩尔分数),位于涂层表面的具有四方结构的MoSi_2晶粒逐渐消失。Ag对Mo20-Ni32-Si48、Mo30-Ni28-Si42、Mo40-Ni24-Si36金属化SiC陶瓷在1000℃保温30min后对应的最终接触角分别为45°,79°和85°,该结果与Ag滴和3种Mo-Ni-Si涂层之间的相互作用密切相关。同时,在润湿试验前后,在Mo-Ni-Si涂层/SiC衬底界面没有发现明显的反应层。
