The multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) studied in this work were synthesized by the catalytic chemical vapor deposition(CCVD) process, and were thermally annealed by the hot filament plasma enhanced(HF PE) method at 550℃ for two *** x-ray absorption near edge structure(XANES) technique was used to investigate the adsorption and desorption phenomena of the MWCNTs at normal and grazing incidence *** adsorbates were found to have different sensitivities to the thermal *** geometry of the incident beam consistently gave information about the adsorption and desorption *** addition, the adsorption of non-intrinsic potassium quantitatively affected the intrinsic adsorbates and contributed to increase the conductivity of the *** desorption of potassium was almost 70% greater after the thermal *** potassium non-intrinsic adsorbates are from a physisorption mechanism whereas the intrinsic adsorbates result from chemisorption.

CoFe2O4 nanoparticles(NPs)and surface modified with gold(Au)have been synthesized by a thermal decomposition *** obtained NPs and formation of CoFe2O4@Au core–shell(CS)were confirmed by characterizing their structural and optical properties using X-ray powder diffraction(XRD)patterns,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,Raman spectroscopy,UV–Visible and photoluminescence *** and compositional studies were carried out using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy and energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,while the magnetic properties were determined using alternating gradient magnetometer and Mossbauer to define the magneto-structural effects of shell formation on the core *** heating properties of CoFe2O4 and CoFe2O4@Au CS magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs)have been investigated and correlated with magneto-structural *** absorption rate and intrinsic loss power were calculated for these MNPs within the human tolerable range of frequency and amplitude,suggesting their potential in magnetic fluid hyperthermia therapy for possible cancer treatment.

Fiber evidence has played a crucial role in ascertaining various characteristics and has aided in providing evidential value to the fiber evidence as well as reconstructing events during crime scene *** fibers are transferred easily at the crime scene and various methods of interpretation exist,it is challenging to get a fiber *** present study aims to provide a systematic review of the role of fiber as trace *** explores the fiber population,transfer and persistence of fibers,fiber shedability and recovery,effect of laundry on fibers,stabbing events,the resistance of fabric against weapon's penetration,the behavior of fabric upon ballistic impact,and various analytical techniques of fiber *** study approaches to evaluate the significances and uncertainties of the recovered fiber evidence.

This report describes triethylammonium acetate （TEAA） ionic liquid catalyzed one pot synthesis of 6-amino-4-aryl-5-cyano-3- methyl-1-phenyl-1,4-dihydropyrano [2,3-c]pyrazoles by the reaction of aromatic aldehyde, malononitrile and 3-methyl-1-phenyl-2- pyrazolin-5-one at room temperature. TEAA plays dual role as reaction media and catalyst. It can also be easily recovered and reused in several runs. TEAA provides greener reaction protocol to present methodology which obviates the need of organic solvents, expensive and toxic catalyst.

The regiospecific oxidation of alkyl group of both sterically hindered and unhindered aromatic amine to corresponding carbonyl compound was done in aq. medium by using DDQ. The optimized reaction protocol was found to be most simple, high yielding and novel method for oxidation of alkyl group of aromatic amine in to its carbonyl compound.
