Colorectal cancer(CRC)has a great impact on the world *** increasing frequency,CRC is described according to the presenting phenotype,based on its molecular *** of CRC tumors according to their genetic and/or epigenetic alterations is not only important for establishing the molecular bases of the disease,but also for predicting patient outcomes and developing more individualized ***-onset CRC is a heterogeneous disease,with a strong familial component,although the disease is sporadic in an important proportion of *** molecular alterations appear to contribute to the apparent heterogeneity of the early-onset population and subgroups can be distinguished with distinct histopathologic and familial ***,compared with late-onset CRC,there are characteristicsthat suggest that early-onset CRC may have a different molecular *** purpose of this review was to analyze the current state of knowledge about earlyonset CRC with respect to clinicopathologic,familial and molecular ***,these features make it increasingly clear that this subset of CRC may be a separate disease,although it has much in common with late-onset CRC.

Lichens are abundant and highly diverse in tropical areas such as the Philippines due to its climate and geographical ***,several regions of the country remained underexplored or unexplored and many species remained undiscovered in the country’s many unique *** study determines the occurrence of foliose lichens in Casaroro Falls and Pulangbato Falls in Valencia,Negros Oriental,*** lichen morphologies were characterized using available taxonomic *** the 26 lichen samples collected from the two falls,23 specimens were identified based on their morphological and biochemical *** these,8 species were specific to Casaroro Falls and 13 species to Pulangbato Falls,with only 2 species of lichens found on both ***,17 species are new records for the Philippines.

Plasmonic nanostructures stand at the forefront of nanophotonics research, particularly in sensing and energy conversion applications. Their unique ability to confine light energy at the nanoscale makes them indispensable for a wide array of technological advancements. The study of these structures often makes use of different materials and, even more extensively, explores new shapes and configurations to extend our common repertoire of useful nanophotonics tools. Exploring the creation of bimetallic plasmonic nanostructures combines these two dimensions determining the space of possible plasmonic resonators and opens the possibility of tailoring systems with behavior unavailable to single-metal plasmonic structures. In this paper, we delve into the exploration of bimetallic systems employing plasmonic nanostars. These structures have demonstrated remarkable capabilities for surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) spectroscopy and photochemistry, due to the strong plasmonic response of their peaks, whose disposition following a spherical symmetry makes them largely polarization- and orientation-insensitive. Herein, we report the colloidal synthesis of two different water-stable Au@Ag nanostars, explore their performance as photocatalysts and SERS substrates, and provide an in-depth account of their non-trivial physical response.

Relative preferences of 90 images of forest stands, photos and virtual reality images were investigated by the intemet to develop a quantitative model for estimating scenic beauty preferences at the stand level, The relative priority values obtained from the questionnaire of a total of 259 judges were analyzed using regression methods for pairwise comparisons. Two models were developed based on two different groups of stands. Both models indicate that the priority of a forest stand increases with an augment in the number of bushes and trees, and also with the mean diameter of trees. On the other hand, the priority is low with large number of pines and small trees. Stands represented by photos receive better priority values than those represented by virtual reality images. When the background of the judges （gender, country or occupation） was included into the model as additional predictors, no significant improvements are achieved.

We report the case of a 52-year-old man with a history of acute myeloid leukemia who presented to the emergency room with fatigue, dyspnea and chest pain. Initial routine examination showed signs of right heart failure. A CT was requested to rule out pulmonary embolism. The imaging revealed the presence of a cardiac infiltrative mass involving the heart’s right free wall that proved to be a chloroma.
