BAcKGROUND Radiocarpal dislocations are rare but potentially devastating *** outcomes are associated with inadequate or lost reduction,such as ulnar translocation,but no consensus exists on the ideal fixation *** bridge plate fixation has been described for various settings in the treatment of complex distal radius fractures and can be fixed distally to the second or third metacarpal,but its application for radiocarpal dislocations has not been *** To determine whether distal fixation to the second or third metacarpal *** Using a cadaveric radiocarpal dislocation model,the effect of distal fixation was studied in two stages:(1)A pilot study that investigated the effect of distal fixation alone;and(2)a more refined study that investigated the effect of described techniques for distal and proximal *** were measured in various parameters to determine the quality of the reduction *** The pilot study found that focusing on distal fixation alone without changing proximal fixation results in ulnar translocation and volar subluxation when fixing distally to the second metacarpal compared with the *** second iteration demonstrated that anatomic alignment in coronal and sagittal planes could be achieved with each *** In a cadaveric radiocarpal dislocation model,anatomic alignment can be maintained with bridge plate fixation to the second metacarpal or the third metacarpal if the described technique is *** considering dorsal bridge plate fixation for radiocarpal dislocations,the surgeon is encouraged to understand the nuances of different fixation techniques and how implant design features may influence proximal placement.

Direct recycling is a novel approach to overcoming the drawbacks of conventional lithium-ion battery(LIB)recycling processes and has gained considerable attention from the academic and industrial sectors in recent *** primary objective of directly recycling LIBs is to efficiently recover and restore the active electrode materials and other components in the solid phase while retaining electrochemical *** technology's advantages over traditional pyrometallurgy and hydrometallurgy are costeffectiveness,energy efficiency,and sustainability,and it preserves the material structure and morphology and can shorten the overall recycling *** review extensively discusses the advancements in the direct recycling of LIBs,including battery sorting,pretreatment processes,separation of cathode and anode materials,and regeneration and quality enhancement of electrode *** encompasses various approaches to successfully regenerate high-value electrode materials and streamlining the recovery process without compromising their electrochemical ***,we highlight key challenges in direct recycling when scaled from lab to industries in four perspectives:(1)battery design,(2)disassembling,(3)electrode delamination,and(4)commercialization and *** on these challenges and changing market trends,a few strategies are discussed to aid direct recycling efforts,such as binders,electrolyte selection,and alternative battery designs;and recent transitions and technological advancements in the battery industry are presented.

While hypoxic signaling has been shown to play a role in many cellular processes,its role in metabolism-linked extracellular matrix(EcM)organization and downstream processes of cell fate after musculoskeletal injury remains to be ***(HO)is a debilitating condition where abnormal bone formation occurs within extra-skeletal *** andhypoxia-inducible factor 1α(HIF-1α)activation have been shown to promote ***,the underlying molecular mechanisms bywhich the HIF-1αpathway in mesenchymal progenitor cells(MPcs)contributes to pathologic bone formation remain to ***,we used a proven mouse injury-induced HO model to investigate the role of HIF-1αon aberrant cell ***-cell RNA sequencing(scRNA-seq)and spatial transcriptomics analyses of the HO site,we found that collagen EcM organizationis the most highly up-regulated biological process in *** mesenchymal cell-specific deletion of Hif1α(Hoxa11-creER^(T2);Hif1a^(fl/fl))significantly mitigated HO in ***-seq analysis of these Hoxa11-creER^(T2);Hif1a^(fl/fl)mice identified the PLOD2/LOXpathway for collagen cross-linking as downstream of the HIF-1αregulation of ***,our scRNA-seq data and mechanisticstudies further uncovered that glucose metabolism in MPcs is most highly impacted by HIF-1α*** a translational aspect,a pan-LOX inhibitor significantly decreased HO.A newly screened compound revealed that the inhibition of PLOD2 activity in MPcssignificantly decreased osteogenic differentiation and glycolytic *** suggests that the HIF-1α/PLOD2/LOX axis linked tometabolism regulates HO-forming MPc *** results suggest that the HIF-1α/PLOD2/LOX pathway represents a promisingstrategy to mitigate HO formation.

Determining the checkpoint of Transition from Thin to Thick Periodontal Phenotypes in the Maxillary and Mandibular Anterior Regions of South Indian Population

Aim:The aim of this study was to compare and investigate the tissue thickness at the maxillary and mandibular central incisors utilizing the probe visibility method and traditional way of measuring gingival thickness(GT)by endodontic ***:In 200 selected patients,the GT was measured at both the maxillary and mandibular anterior using an endodontic file after local infiltration at the mid-distance from the gingival margin to the mucogingival *** checkpoint of transition from thin to thick periodontal phenotype was determined by probe visibility method in the following age groups:Group A:21-30 years;Group B:31-40 years;Group c:41-50 years;and Group D:51-60 ***:GT varied from 0.3 to 1.9 *** translucency was observed up to the thickness of 0.7 *** 0.8 mm of GT,there was no probe ***:According to the present research,the gingiva appears transparent up to a thickness of around 0.7 *** checkpoint of transition between thin and thick periodontal phenotypes at both the maxillary and mandibular anterior was associated with a GT of 0.8 mm.

BAcKGROUND There is scant literature on hepatocellular carcinoma(Hcc)in patients with Budd-chiari syndrome(BcS).AIM To assess the magnitude,clinical characteristics,feasibility,and outcomes of treatment in *** A total of 904 BcS patients from New Delhi,India and 1140 from Mumbai,India were *** prevalence and incidence of Hcc were determined,and among patients with BcS-Hcc,the viability and outcomes of interventional therapy were *** In the New Delhi cohort of 35 BcS-Hcc patients,18 had Hcc at index presentation(prevalence 1.99%),and 17 developed Hcc over a follow-up of 4601 person-years,[incidence 0.36(0.22-0.57)per 100 person-years].BcS-Hcc patients were older when compared to patients with BcS alone(P=0.001)and had a higher proportion of inferior vena cava block,cirrhosis,and long-segment vascular *** median alpha-fetoprotein level was higher in patients with BcS-Hcc at first presentation than those who developed Hcc at follow-up(13029 ng/mL vs 500 ng/mL,P=0.01).Of the 35 BcS-Hcc,26(74.3%)underwent radiological interventions for BcS,and 22(62.8%)patients underwent treatment for Hcc[transarterial chemoembolization in 18(81.8%),oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor in 3(13.6%),and transarterial radioembolization in 1(4.5%)].The median survival among patients who underwent interventions for Hcc compared with those who did not was 3.5 years vs 3.1 mo(P=0.0001).In contrast to the New Delhi cohort,the Mumbai cohort of BcS-Hcc patients were predominantly males,presented with a more advanced Hcc[Barcelona clinic Liver cancer c and D],and 2 patients underwent liver *** Hcc is not uncommon in patients with *** interventions and liver transplantation are feasible in select primary BcS-Hcc patients and may improve outcomes.

Due to the advanced developments in communication technologies,Internet of vehicles and vehicular adhoc networks(VANET)offers numerous opportunities for effectively managing transportation *** the other,the cloud environment needs to disseminate the emergency message to the vehicles which are consistently distributed on the roadway so that every vehicle gets the messages from closer vehicles in a straightforward *** resolve this issue,clustering and routing techniques can be designed using computational intelligence *** this motivation,this paper presents a new type-2 fuzzy sets based clustering with metaheuristic optimization based routing(T2FScMOR)technique for secure communication in *** T2FSc-MOR technique aims to elect cHs and optimal routes for secure intercluster data transmission in *** proposed model involves T2FSc technique for the selection of cHs and construction of *** T2FSc technique uses different parameters namely traveling speed(TS),link quality(LQ),trust factor(TF),inter-vehicle distance(IVD),and neighboring node count(Ncc).The inclusion of trust factor helps to select the proper cluster heads(cHs)for secure data dissemination ***,trust aware seagull optimization based routing(TASGOR)approach was derived for the optimal selection of routes in *** order to validate the enhanced performance of proposed technique,the set of simulations take place and the outcomes are examined interms of different *** experimental outcomes highlighted the improved performance of the proposed model over the other state of art techniques with a higher throughput of 98%.

Now a days,Remote Sensing(RS)techniques are used for earth observation and for detection of soil types with high accuracy and better *** technique provides perspective view of spatial resolution and aids in instantaneous measurement of soil’s minerals and its *** are a few challenges that is present in soil classification using image enhancement such as,locating and plotting soil boundaries,slopes,hazardous areas,drainage condition,land use,vegetation *** are some traditional approaches which involves few drawbacks such as,manual involvement which results in inaccuracy due to human interference,time consuming,inconsistent prediction *** overcome these draw backs and to improve the predictive analysis of soil characteristics,we propose a Hybrid Deep Learning improved BAT optimization algorithm(HDIB)for soil classification using remote sensing hyperspectral *** HDIB,we propose a spontaneous BAT optimization algorithm for feature extraction of both spectral-spatial features by choosing pure pixels from the Hyper Spectral(HS)***-spatial vector as training illustrations is attained by merging spatial and spectral vector by means of priority stacking ***,a recurring Deep Learning(DL)Neural Network(NN)is used for classifying the HS images,considering the datasets of Pavia University,Salinas and Tamil Nadu Hill Scene,which in turn improves the reliability of ***,the performance of the proposed HDIB based soil classifier is compared and analyzed with existing methodologies like Single Layer Perceptron(SLP),convolutional Neural Networks(cNN)and Deep Metric Learning(DML)and it shows an improved classification accuracy of 99.87%,98.34%and 99.9%for Tamil Nadu Hills dataset,Pavia University and Salinas scene datasets respectively.
