Optimization and validation of a fast RP-HPLc method for the determination of dobutamine in rat plasma:Pharmacokinetic studies in healthy rat subjects

A novel isocratic reverse phase high performance liquid chromatography （RP-HPLc） with photo diode array （PDA） detection method for the determination of dobutamine （DBT） in rat plasma was developed and validated after optimization of various chromatographic conditions and other experimental parameters. Homoveratrylamiue was used as an internal standard. Methanol was used as the extracting solvent for the preparation of plasma samples. Samples were separated on a Symmetry c18 （250ram x4.6mm i.d., 5 pro） analytical column. Acetonitrile and 15raM potassium dihydrogen phosphate （pH 5.0 with 0.3% TEA）（20：80, v/v） was used. The column oven temperature was optimized at 35 ~c and the flow rate was 0.8 mL/min. The detection wavelength was fixed at 230 nm for entire analysis. The calibration curve was found to be linear over the concentration range of 50-2000 ng/mL （ra=0.9992）. The limit of quantification （LOQ） of the method was 50 ng/mL. The % RSD values of accuracy and precision values for intra and inter days were 〈 15% at quality control （Qc） concentrations. Recovery, stability and robustness were studied within the acceptable range according to IcH guidelines. The method was efficiently applied to a pharmacokinetic study in healthy Wistar rats.

AIM:To identify multi-detector computed tomography(MDcT) features most predictive of serous cystadenomas(ScAs),correlating with histopathology,and to study the impact of cyst size and MDcT technique on reader ***:The MDcT scans of 164 patients with surgically verified pancreatic cystic lesions were reviewed by two readers to study the predictive value of various morphological features for establishing a diagnosis of *** in lesion characterization and reader conf idence were correlated with lesion size(≤3cm or≥3cm) and scanning protocols(dedicated vs routine).RESULTS:28/164 cysts(mean size,39 mm;range,8-92mm) were diagnosed as ScA on *** MDcT features predictive of diagnosis of ScA were microcystic appearance(22/28,78.6%),surface lobulations(25/28,89.3%) and central scar(9/28,32.4%).Stepwise logistic regression analysis showed that only microcystic appearance was signifi cant for cT diagnosis of ScA(P=0.0001).The sensitivity,specificity and PPV of central scar and of combined microcystic appearance and lobulations were 32.4%/100%/100% and 68%/100%/100%,*** reader confidence was higher for lesions>3cm(P=0.02) and for MDcT scans performed using thin collimation(1.25-2.5mm) compared to routine 5 mm collimation exams(P>0.05).cONcLUSION:central scar on MDcT is diagnostic of ScA but is seen in only one third of *** morphology is the most significant cT feature in diagnosis of ScA.A combination of microcystic appearance and surface lobulations offers accuracy comparable to central scar with higher sensitivity.

Present study deals with an extensive ecological assessment of natural forest areas under several in-situ conservation plots which have resulted from high rate of grazing and biotic pressure. Over-exploitation of forest and unwanted incidental fire cases decreased the diversity of several ethnomedicinally and economically valuable plants species from the Boridand forest region in Korea district, chhattisgarh. The total number of plants reported in all three study sites, 41 plants species belonging to 26 families and 37 plant genera were identified. A field survey was conducted at three different study sites in Boridand forest, district Korea, chhattisgarh as Plot A, Plot B and Plot c, during months March 2013 to February 2014 to identify the diversity of ethnomedicinal plants.

In the present investigation, an attempt was made to facilitate tool condition monitoring system on cryogenic treated using fuzzy logic and signal processing. cryogenic treatment is carried out at -196°c for 48 hours followed on tempering at 200°c for 2 hours. The AISI4340 steel is machined with cryogenically treated inserts. Speed, feed and depth of cut are selected as input parameters. The results of the proposed method are encouraged in minimizing tool vibration, flank and crater wear. Good correlation is shown between the neural fuzzy and experimental data. As a result, it is found that cryogenically treated inserts have superior tool wear and vibration resistance, and confirmed by conducting further confirmation tests.

Plasma Sprayed coatings provide protection against corrosion, erosion and wear. Inconel- 718 is a metallic coating which has good wear and erosion resistance. This is plasma sprayed on to Al6061 substrate and then subjected to slurry erosive wear tests. It is observed that the slurry wear rates of Al6061 decreased on coating the substrate material with Inconel- 718.

Groundnut(Arachis hypogaea L.)is widely grown and consumed around the world and is considered to have originated from a single hybridization event between two wild *** utilization of wild germplasm in breeding programs has been restricted by reproductive barriers between wild and cultivated species and technical difficulties in making large numbers of *** to overcome these hurdles have resulted in the development of synthetic amphidiploids,namely ISATGR 278-18(Arachis duranesis×Arachis batizocoi)and ISATGR 5B(Arachis magna×***),which possess several desirable traits,including resistance to foliar diseases that generally cause huge yield losses annually in groundnut growing areas of Asia,America,and *** an objective to improve foliar disease resistance,the primary gene pool was diversified by introgressing foliar disease resistance in five cultivated genotypes(IcGV 91114,IcGS 76,IcGV 91278,JL 24,and DH 86)from synthetic amphidiploids using a backcross breeding *** introgression lines with resistance to two foliar diseases(rust and late leaf spot)were identified with levels of resistance equal to the *** backcross derived lines have shown a wide range of variation for several morphological and agronomic *** lines,after further evaluation and selection,can serve as donors in future breeding programs aimed atdeveloping improved cultivars with desirable agronomic traits,high resilience to biotic/abiotic stresses and a broadened genetic base.

Heat load of a GaAs photocathode in an SRF electron gun

A great deal of effort has been made over the last decades to develop a better polarized electron source for high energy physics. Several laboratories operate Dc guns with a gallium arsenide photocathode, which yield a highly polarized electron beam. However, the beam’s emittance might well be improved by using a superconducting radio frequency （SRF） electron gun, which delivers beams of a higher brightness than that from Dc guns because the field gradient at the cathode is higher. SRF guns with metal and csTe cathodes have been tested successfully. To produce polarized electrons, a Gallium-Arsenide photo-cathode must be used： an experiment to do so in a superconducting RF gun is under way at BNL. Since a bulk gallium arsenide （GaAs） photocathode is normal conducting, a problem arises from the heat load stemming from the cathode. We present our measurements of the electrical resistance of GaAs at cryogenic temperatures, a prediction of the heat load and verification by measuring the quality factor of the gun with and without the cathode at 2 K. We simulate heat generation and flow from the GaAs cathode using the ANSYS program. By following the findings with the heat load model, we designed and fabricated a new cathode holder （plug） to decrease the heat load from GaAs.
