Tilmicosin was administered intravenously and subcutaneously at a dose rate of 10 mg/kg bwt to determine its concentration in blood and bronchial secretion as well as its kinetic behavior in healthy and Pasteurella haemolytica type A1-infected calves. Sever acute bronchopneumonia was induced in 10 calves by inoculating them intra-tracheally with P. haemolytica type A1. The calves were treated with tilmicosin;5 of these received the drug intravenously and the other 5 were injected subcutaneously. After a slow intravenous injection, the serum concentration-time curve indicated a two compartment open model with a mean elimination half-lives (t1/2bs) of 22.09 and 22.14 hours before and after infection, respectively. The mean residence time (MRT) corrected for a bolus injection was 2.25 and 2.20 hours and the mean MRTinf was 25.27 and 25.46 hours in healthy and P. haemolytica-infected calves, respectively. After subcutaneous injection, the drug was eliminated more slowly (before and after infection) from serum and bronchial secretions, with t1/2bs of (24.60 and 25.85 hours) and (33.74 and 31.78 hours), respectively. The apparent volume of distribution (Vd(area)) of tilmicosin was more than 1 litre·kg-1. The peak serum and bronchial secretions of tilmicosin concentration were (1.33 and 1.36 mg·ml-1) and (1.40 and 1.70 mg·ml-1) attained at (7.21 and 7.15 hours) and 7.11 and 7.10 hours) after subcutaneous injection, respectively. Across the world, people are highly concerned with environmental matters, while worries about risks and threats continue. In recent decades, environmental concerns have drawn more international and national attention, particularly, the green economy, an area of environmental awareness that aims to reduce environmental risks and ecological scarcities, fostering sustainable development without degrading the environment. The present study investigated green economy awareness among the higher education students in Oman in general and Sultan Qaboos University (SQU) in particular to assess their knowledge, attitudes and practice regarding the green economy. Data were collected via a structured questionnaire that was delivered to all students of the nine university colleges. The descriptive data analysis revealed that most respondents were aware of the concept of the green economy. While general knowledge and awareness about the concept were generally satisfactory, there were still some misconceptions and a lack of knowledge about some other themes. Statistical tools such as the Chi-square test, WAS and factor analysis were used to analyse any differences in the perception of male and female respondents as well as college background and majors.

Preparation and Characterization of Conductive Cellulosic Fabric by Polymerization of Pyrrole

Preparation of conductive cotton fabrics, by polymerization of pyrrole in presence of FeCl3 as an oxidizing agent and tetraethylammonium p-toluene sulfonat (TEAp-TS) as a doping agent which in turn caused a reduction in the moisture regain of the substrate, resulted in production conductive cotton fabrics in laboratory scale. Factors affecting the properties of the fabrics were studied, such as ratio between FeCl3 and TEAp-TS and pyrrole concentration. Polypyrrole coated cotton fabrics were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Fourier transform-infrared (FT-IR) spectroscopy. Resistivity, weight gain, color strength, tensile strength and elongation of the coated fabric with polypyrrol were monitored according to ASTM procedures. The results had shown that, the conductivity, weight gain, color strength, tensile strength and elongation increase by increasing FeCl3, TEAp-TS and pyrrole concentration. This is due to the increase of amount of the conductive polymer on the fabric surface. FeCl3 (0.25 M/L), TEAp-TS (0.125 M/L), pyrrole (0.3 M/L), temperature (25°C) and time (4 h) represented the most appropriate formulation for effecting polymerizing of pyrrole and anchoring on cotton fabrics.

Length-weight relationships （LWRs） were determined for fish species Diplodus vulgaris from the Benghazi coast along the eastern Mediterranean Sea coast of Libya. Samples were collected using trammel nets. The parameters a and b from the LWR formula W = aLb were estimated. The values of the exponent b of the length-weight relationships in all categories range between 2.295 in September to 3.208 in August. The total number of fish samples investigated were 290, from which 179 were males, 41 females and 70 fishes immature. The sex ratio male to female were 4.3：1. In January, August and Females the slope ＂b＂ close to equal 3, were the categories exhibited isometric relationship, in September, October and November were slope ＂b＂ not equal 3, which the categories exhibited negative allometric relationship. The mean observed length of male was 18.29 cm at mean observed weight 114.8 g, and mean observed length of female was 19.15 cm at mean observed weight 133.97 *** general equation for the length-weight relationship for both sex was： W = 0.03835L277, for male was： W = 0.036 L274, for female, W = 0.016 L302.

Objective:To explore the efficacy of earthworm’s coelomic fluid against gentamicin-induced hepatic and renal toxicity in ***:The animals were divided randomly into three groups(n=6 per group):control,gentamicin,and Allolobophora caliginosa coelomic fluid-treated *** was established after injection of gentamicin daily for 8 days at a dose of 100 mg/*** aminotransferase,alanine aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase,total proteins,albumin,creatinine,urea,uric acid,malondialdehyde,glutathione,catalase and histopathology of tissues were investigated in the ***:Allolobophora caliginosa coelomic fluid significantly decreased urea,creatinine,uric acid,alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,alkaline phosphatase,and malondialdehyde levels while significantly increasing levels of total proteins,albumin,glutathione and *** histopathological investigation showed partial restoration of renal and hepatic ***:This study shows the potency of Allolobophora caliginosa coelomic fluid in improving the biochemical and histopathological changes induced by gentamicin in the liver and kidney of the rats.

In this study, superconducting samples of type GdBa2Cu3O7-δ added with x wt% (0 ≤ x ≤ 0.4) nanoferrites ZnFe2O4 and CoFe2O4 were prepared by the conventional solid-state reaction technique. The prepared samples were characterized using X-ray powder diffraction (XRD) in order to determine the volume fraction and lattice parameters. The elemental contents of the prepared samples were determined using particle induced X-ray emission (PIXE). In addition, the oxygen-content of these samples was obtained using non-Rutherford backscattering spectroscopy (RBS) at 3 MeV proton beam. It is found that the Oxygen-content of GdBa2Cu3O7-δ phase remains practically constant for low additions of both nanoferrites but it increases with high additions. The electrical resistivity of the prepared samples was measured by the conventional four-probe technique from room temperature down to the zero superconducting transition temperature (T0). An increase in the superconducting transition temperature Tc and the critical current density Jc is observed as x varies from 0.0 to 0.06 wt% of (ZnFe2O4)xGdBa2Cu3O7-δ, followed by a systematic decrease with increasing x. On the other hand, the Tc values for (CoFe2O4)xGdBa2Cu3O7-δ show a systematic decrease with x for both high and low additions while Jc is enhanced up to x = 0.01 wt% and decrease with further increase in x.

DNA Barcoding of Common Commercial Sea Catfish (Genus: Plicofollis) from Kuwait

Kuwait fish market is one of the richest markets of native marine fish species. Sea catfishes are not very important in economic point of view, and only few of them (four species) are present and mistakenly, they all named (Chem). Using DNA barcode technique, the common sea catfish present in the East major fish market (Sharq) was analyzed. Based on the most common species ID databases (Barcoding of life database, BOLD and NCBI database), the most proposal identification that is compatible with major survey in 1997, the sea catfish is Plicofollis tenuispinis, the thin-spin sea catfish with similarity 100% and phylogenetic support of 78% bootstrap value. This is the first application of DNA barcode technique to thin-spine sea catfish of Kuwait.

中东地区在世界板块上占据着重要的地理位置，它是联系着亚、欧、非三大洲的纽带，是东西方经贸往来的重要交通枢纽。此外，中东国家拥有十分丰富的能源资源，包括水资源以及油气资源等，由于战略位置的重要性，使得中东地区成为世界上政治、经济最为敏感的地区，能源争夺战与社会动乱在中东国家常有发生。随着中国经济的快速发展，对能源资源的紧缺日趋严重，中东国家与中国的经贸关系由于中东复杂的局势而存在一定的发展机遇，也存在一定的挑战。本文基于对促进中东国家与中国经贸关系发展的有利因素的探讨，分析中东国家与中国经贸关系的发展现状，深刻剖析存在于中东国家与中国经贸关系中的问题与阻碍因素，并力图给出有效地解决方案与对策，旨在进一步加强中东国家与中国经贸关系的快速、健康发展。论文共分为五章。第一章是绪论部分，主要阐述论文的选题背景与研究意义，分析相关文献综述的写作思路与观点，介绍论文的结构思路、研究方法以及重难点;第二章开始是正论部分，探究中东国家与中国经贸关系发展的有利因素。其中，中东国家与中国巨大的市场潜力、经贸结构的互补、经济基础的雄厚以及政治基础坚固等，都促进了中东国家与中国双边经贸关系的日益加强;第三章分析中东国家与中国双边投资现状与双边贸易合作现状，并研究中东国家与中国双边经贸关系的近年来呈现出的特点;第四章探讨中东国家与中国在经贸合作过程中存在的主要问题与阻碍因素，包括中东国家政局的动荡、双边经贸的交通不便利、投资规模与双边经济实力不符以及双边贸易结构单一等;第五章在第四章的基础之上，提出促进中东国家与中国双边经贸关系发展的针对性的对策与建议;最后是论文的结论部分，概括和总结了整篇论文阐述的观点，并对中东国家与中国经贸关系发展前景进行了展望。

Heavy metal contamination in the El-Gharbia Governorate(District)of Egypt was identified by using remote sensing,Geographical Information Systems(GIS),and X-ray fluorescence(XRF)spectrometry as the main research *** Elevation Model(DEM),Landsat 8 and contour map images were used to map the *** physiographic units in the study area are represented by nine soil profiles.X-ray fluorescence spectrometry(XRF)was used for geochemical analysis of 33 soil ***(V),nickel(Ni),chromium(Cr),copper(Cu)and zinc(Zn)concentrations were measured and they all exceeded the average global concentrations identified by Wedepohl(1995).Ni and Cr concentrations exceeded recommended values in all soil profile horizons(Canadian Soil Quality Guidelines,2007),while Cu had a variable *** concentrations are under recommended concentration limits in most soil *** Factor,Pollution Load Index and Degree of Contamination indices were used to assess the environmental risks of heavy metal contamination from the *** analysed metals pose some potential hazard and pollution levels were particularly high near industrial and urban areas.
