Performing on-site measurements is one of the main challenges of current(bio)chemical *** tips,which are among the most common utilities in laboratories,can be useful and cheap elements for designing out-of-the-box innovative analytical ***,most of the analytical properties of these bioplatforms depend on the immobilization of the recognition element(e.g.,enzymes).In this context,we have recently designed a chimeric protein in which laccase PoxA1b from the fungus Pleurotus ostreatus has been genetically fused to the class I hydrophobin *** ability to self-assemble at hydrophobic-hydrophilic interfaces of hydrophobin,allows an easy laccase *** this work,the Vmh2-PoxA1b fusion protein was immobilized into common polypropylene micropipette tips to develop an innovative enzymatic bioplatform that can produce fast results in a simple *** proof of applicability,the platform was applied to the determination of caffeic acid by enzymatic oxidation and further electrochemical reduction of the product on a screen-printed electrode,achieving a limit of detection of 1.4-10^(-6) *** was then used for determining caffeic acid in tea samples.

Orbital Spin: A New Hypothesis to Explain Precession of Equinox—The Third Motion of Earth

In this paper, the phenomena of Earth’s motion about its own axis, the ecliptic plane of the Earth’s orbit around the Sun, the definitions of equinoxes, the precession of equinoxes, Earth’s wobble and other astronomical terminology are briefly described. Some of the existing theories explaining the precession of equinox and their inadequacies are brought out. New Hypothesis is that precession of equinoxes is a direct result of Orbital spin of Earth in a retrograde direction—a celestial phenomenon similar to that of Moon’s Orbital spin around the Earth. The study of Moon’s orbit round the Earth reveals the exact movement of Earth’s orbit, which causes precession of equinoxes without any ambiguity. The analogy presented herein demonstrates the plausible hypothesis.

We investigate the ability to reconstruct and derive spatial structure from sparsely sampled 3D piezoresponse force microcopy data,captured using the band-excitation(BE)technique,via Gaussian Process(GP)*** for weakly informative priors,GP methods allow unambiguous determination of the characteristic length scales of the imaging process both in spatial and frequency *** further show that BE data set tends to be oversampled in the spatial domains,with~30% of original data set sufficient for high-quality reconstruction,potentially enabling faster BE *** the same time,reliable reconstruction along the frequency domain requires the resonance peak to be within the measured *** behavior suggests the optimal strategy for the BE imaging on unknown ***,we discuss how GP can be used for automated experimentation in SPM,by combining GP regression with non-rectangular scans.

The heat equation is a second-order parabolic partial differential equation, which can be solved in many ways using numerical methods. This paper provides a numerical solution that uses the finite difference method like the explicit center difference method. The forward time and centered space (FTCS) is used to a problem containing the one-dimensional heat equation and the stability condition of the scheme is reported with different thermal conductivity of different materials. In this study, results obtained for different thermal conductivity of distinct materials are compared. Also, the results reveal the well-behavior properties of the materials in good agreement.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)has one of the highest mortality rates among all cancer *** delayed diagnosis precludes curative resection,thus most of the current therapies against PDAC are based on chemo-and ***,these strategies are insufficient to improve its poor *** the advances made in chemotherapy(***-paclitaxel and gemcitabine),many patients with PDAC are unable to benefit from them due to the rapid development of drug ***,more than 165 genes have been found to be implicated in drug resistance of pancreatic tumors,including different integrins,mucins,NF-κB,RAS and ***,drug resistance in PDAC is thought to be mediated by the modulation of miRNAs(***-21,miRNA-145 and miRNA-155),which regulate genes that participate in cell proliferation,invasion and ***,cancer stem cells are intimately related to drug resistance in PDAC due to their ability to overexpress ABC genes-involved in drug transport-,and enzymes such as aldehyde dehydrogenases-implicated in cellular drug metabolism-and poly(ADP-ribose)polymerases-involved in drug-induced DNA damage *** the mechanisms involved in drug resistance will contribute to the development of efficient therapeutic strategies and to improve the prognosis of patients with PDAC.

Intelligent Energy Utilization Analysis Using IUA-SMD Model Based Optimization Technique for Smart Metering Data

Smart metering has gained considerable attention as a research focus due to its reliability and energy-efficient nature compared to traditional electromechanical metering systems. Existing methods primarily focus on data management,rather than emphasizing efficiency. Accurate prediction of electricity consumption is crucial for enabling intelligent grid operations,including resource planning and demandsupply balancing. Smart metering solutions offer users the benefits of effectively interpreting their energy utilization and optimizing costs. Motivated by this,this paper presents an Intelligent Energy Utilization Analysis using Smart Metering Data(IUA-SMD)model to determine energy consumption patterns. The proposed IUA-SMD model comprises three major processes:data Pre-processing,feature extraction,and classification,with parameter optimization. We employ the extreme learning machine(ELM)based classification approach within the IUA-SMD model to derive optimal energy utilization labels. Additionally,we apply the shell game optimization(SGO)algorithm to enhance the classification efficiency of the ELM by optimizing its parameters. The effectiveness of the IUA-SMD model is evaluated using an extensive dataset of smart metering data,and the results are analyzed in terms of accuracy and mean square error(MSE). The proposed model demonstrates superior performance,achieving a maximum accuracy of65.917% and a minimum MSE of0.096. These results highlight the potential of the IUA-SMD model for enabling efficient energy utilization through intelligent analysis of smart metering data.

Phosphorylation affects ubiquitination, stability, and activity of transcriptional factors, thus regulating various cellular functions. E2F transcriptional factor I （E2F1） regulates paternally expressed imprinted gene 10 （Peg10） expression, thereby promoting cell proliferation. However, the effect of E2FZ stability on PeglO expression and the molecular regulation of E2FZ stability by its phos- phorylation have not been well demonstrated. Here, we describe a new pathway in which phosphorylation of E2F1 by GSK3p increases E2FZ association with the deubiquitinating enzyme, ubiquitin-specific protease 11 （USPll）, which removes K63-1inked ubiquitin chains thereby preventing E2FZ degradation in the nuclei. Downregulation of USPlZ increases E2FZ ubiquitination and reduces E2F1 stability and protein levels, thereby decreasing PeglO mRNA levels. Physiologically, USPll depletion suppresses cell proliferation and wound healing in lung epithelial cells, and these effects are reversed by E2F1 and PEGIO overexpression. Thus, our study reveals a new molecular model that phosphorylation promotes substrate stability through increasing its associ- ation with a deubiquitinating enzyme. The data suggest that GSK3p and USPll act in concert to modulate E2FZ abundance and PEGIO expression in lung epithelial celts to affect cell wound healing. This study provides new therapeutic targets to lessen lung injury by improving lung epithelial cell repair and remodeling after injury.

Fourth order differential equations are considered to develop the class of methods for the numerical solution of boundary value problems. In this paper, we have discussed the regions of absolute stability of fourth order boundary value problems. Methods proposed and derived in this paper are applied to solve a fourth-order boundary value problem. Numerical results are given to illustrate the efficiency of our methods and compared with exact solution.
