为了实现可持续发展目标(SDG),从而实现2020年后全球生物多样性目标并提高人类社会对气候变化的抵御能力,建议将基于生态系统的适应(EbA)等基于自然的方法作为一种有前途的综合适应战略。EbA包括重视生态系统在降低社会对气候变化的脆弱性方面的作用的适应战略。在地球上不同的生物群中,真菌不仅在维持生态系统中的生物地球化学循环/养分循环(支持和调节服务)方面发挥着重要作用,而且还为人类的社会经济和文化利益(供应和文化服务)做出了贡献。本文根据对冬虫夏草(Ophiocordyceps sinensis)和其他野生真菌的实地考察、相关文献回顾以及作者的相关专业知识,对这些生物多样性真菌群体如何对基于生态系统的适应(EbA)方法的知识的科学理解进行了介绍。在尼泊尔,很多当地社区将几种真菌用作食品、药品,真菌同时也是尼泊尔山区社区的重要家庭收入来源,可在灾难期间提供缓冲,并对粮食安全、医疗保健、教育等具有积极作用。对于综合EbA方法,应加强地方机构的管理以及本土(地方)知识的教育,以对生态、社会和经济有用的真菌物种的识别、保护和可持续管理进行适当的政策干预。

On the spatio-temporal variation in b-value after 25 April 2015 Gorkha,Nepal earthquake

In the present study,the spatial-temporal distribution of b-value along the five faults area(the Judi fault,Thaple fault,Kathmandu fault,Motihari-Gauri Shanker fault,and Motihari-Everest fault)was investigated after the Gorkha earthquake(M7.8).The earthquake catalog of 10,500 events was prepared by compiling the published *** study area is bounded in the central Himalaya from 26.5°to 29°in latitude direction and 84°to 87°in longitude *** frequency magnitude distribution shows the variation of the b-value along with fault areas from 0.45 to 0.69,indicating a common characteristic of aftershock *** particular,the Judi fault area,Thaple fault area,and Motihari-Everest fault area are characterized by the low b-values of 0.45±0.02,0.48±0.02,and 0.55±0.04,*** regions could be the source region for future *** low b-value observed for fault areas are also consistent with the thrust faulting pattern in the region as indicated by the focal mechanism of mainshock and major *** temporal variation of b-value shows inevitable fluctuations during25 April to 12 May *** the area selected,the Motihari-Everest fault area is in critical strain(mechanically locked)conditions,as indicated by the stepwise energy release pattern.

Investigation of Supersonic Shock Wave Loading on Thin Metallic Sheets

Shock tube experiments were carried out to investigate dynamic behavior of Ultra-high hardness(UHH)steel and Aluminium(Al) sheets of 0.8 mm thickness at 0.55, 0.9 and 1.18 MPa peak-over *** results showed that center point deflection increases with an increase in peak-over pressure for Al sheets. However, UHH steel sheets showed negligible deformation when loaded at low peak-over pressures and showed sudden brittle failure at high peak-over pressures. Similar results were obtained by quasi-static testing, UHH steel failed abruptly while Al showed ductile behavior. Results from literature indicate that to protect structures against shock loading it is necessary that they dissipate energy via plastic deformation. The Al sheets were shown to deform plastically both in quasi-static and shock loading. Thus, hardness along with ductility is required to dissipate supersonic shock waves.

Model development to estimate site index values for six major tree species in North Korea

Due to considerable deforestation in North Korea,there is a need to plan forest restoration programs based on scientific forest *** this study,a methodology was developed for estimating the site index values of six major tree species and the forest productivity *** site index values of these tree species were derived in South Korea using the Chapman-Richards *** values were used with data from the 6th National Forest Inventory,which included 20 types of edaphic,topographic,and climatic factors,and random forest analysis—a widely used machine learning technique for spatial prediction—to develop a new model for estimating the site index values of these species across South *** prediction accuracy of this model was evaluated using the root mean square *** results show that the prediction accuracy was high,with a root mean square error of~***,the importance of the variables related to climate and geography was generally *** proposed site index estimation model for six tree species was applied across North Korea,and its effectiveness tested by comparing the estimated values with those reported in literature from North *** differences between the model outputs and recorded data in the northern alpine regions were presumably due to the lack of data for high-altitude regions in South *** model is based on the determination of the suitability of tree species in restoration ***,it can contribute to the evaluation of forest productivity in North Korea and may help plan efficient forest restoration programs.

Role of zonula occludens in gastrointestinal and liver cancers

A growing body of evidence suggests that tight junction(TJ)proteins play a crucial role in the pathogenesis of various diseases,including gastrointestinal(GI)cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).TJ proteins primarily maintain the epithelial and endothelial cells intact together through integral proteins however,recent reports suggest that they also regulate gene expression necessary for cell proliferation,angiogenesis,and metastasis through adapter proteins such as zonula occludens(ZO).ZO proteins are membrane-associated cytosolic scaffolding proteins that modulate cell proliferation by interacting with several transcription *** ZO proteins in GI cancer and HCC are correlated with tumor development and poor *** has searched for using the keyword ZO and gastric cancer,ZO and cancer,and ZO and HCC for the last ten years to *** review summarized the role of ZO proteins in cell proliferation and their expression in GI cancer and ***,therapeutic interventions targeting ZO in GI and liver cancers are reviewed.

Quick Line Outage Identification in Urban Distribution Grids via Smart Meters

The growing integration of distributed energy resources(DERs)in distribution grids raises various reliability issues due to DER's uncertain and complex *** large-scale DER penetration in distribution grids,traditional outage detection methods,which rely on customers report and smart meters'“last gasp”signals,will have poor performance,because renewable generators and storage and the mesh structure in urban distribution grids can continue supplying power after line *** address these challenges,we propose a datadriven outage monitoring approach based on the stochastic time series analysis with a theoretical ***,we prove via power flow analysis that dependency of time-series voltage measurements exhibits significant statistical changes after line *** makes the theory on optimal change-point detection suitable to identify line ***,existing change point detection methods require post-outage voltage distribution,which are unknown in distribution ***,we design a maximum likelihood estimator to directly learn distribution parameters from voltage *** prove the estimated parameters-based detection also achieves optimal performance,making it extremely useful for fast distribution grid outage ***,since smart meters have been widely installed in distribution grids and advanced infrastructure(e.g,PMU)has not widely been available,our approach only requires voltage magnitude for quick outage *** results show highly accurate outage identification in eight distribution grids with 17 configurations with and without DERs using smart meter data.

Background: The protective role of (poly)phenols against metabolic disorders has been extensively studied in adults but not in ***: To assess associations of dietary (poly)phenols and their subclasses with cardiometabolic health parameters in adolescents. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted in 944 individuals aged 11 to 14 years enrolled in the SI! Program for Secondary Schools trial (NCT03504059). (Poly)phenol intake was assessed using semi-quantitative food frequency questionnaires and the Phenol-Explorer database. The measured cardiometabolic parameters were waist circumference (WC) age-sex z-score， blood pressure (BP) age-sex z-score， blood glucose (BG)， triglycerides (TG)， and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-c). Multilevel mixed-effect linear regression models were applied to examine the association between (poly)phenol quintiles and cardiometabolic health ***: Compared to the lowest quintile， adolescents in the highest quintile of total (poly)phenol intake had lower WC z-scores (β=-0.09， 95%CI=-0.09;-0.08， P-for trend=0.002)， mean arterial pressure z-scores (β =-0.11， 95%CI=-0.12;-0.09， P-for trend=0.206)， and HDL-c (β=-1.52， 95%CI=-2.90;-0.14， P-for trend=0.108)， after multivariable adjustment. The WC z-scores (β=-0.11， 95%CI=-0.19;-0.03， P-for trend=0.013) and HDL-c (β=-2.16， 95%CI=-3.78;-0.53， P-for trend=0.046) were lower in the highest quintile of flavonoid intake compared to the lowest quintile. The highest quintile of phenolic acid intake was associated with a lower WC z-score (β=-0.14， 95%CI=-0.26;-0.02， P-for trend=0.011) and TG levels (β=-8.83， 95%CI=-12.37;-5.30， P-for trend <0.001)， and the highest quintile of stilbene intake with lower BG (β=-1.83， 95%CI= -3.103;-0.64， P-for trend <0.001) and TG (β=-3.22， 95%CI= -4.95;-1.49， P-for trend=0.034)， and with higher HDL-c (β=2.328， 95%CI= 1.40;3.17， P-for trend=0.466) compared to the lowest quintile. Real-World Evidence in Localized Pancreatic: Coping with Uncertainty in Unselected Populations

Background: Localized pancreatic cancer, including resectable (R), borderline resectable (BR) and locally advanced unresectable disease (LAU), is considered in clinical guidelines for diverse treatment options based on clinical trials in selected populations. Hence, exploring with real world evidence (RWE) clinicians’ preferences for treatment options and their results seems pertinent. Methods: In a set of consecutive patients with localized pancreatic cancer assisted in a third level hospital from January 2013 to December 2022, medical records, symptoms, diagnostic process, distribution between subtypes, and treatment plans, with safety and efficacy results, were assessed. Results: A total of 152 patients with localized disease were included (43.4% R, 21.0% BR, 33.6% LAU). The population characteristics exemplified differences between daily practice and clinical trials. Tumor location and symptoms were as expected. Treatment plan was conditioned by PS or comorbidities in 23.0% of patients. In patients with R disease, surgery followed by different adjuvant chemotherapy (CT) regimes was the antineoplastic treatment of choice (64.8%) with efficacy results (OS 37.5 months;95% CI 18.4 - 56.7), in the range of contemporary standards. The common use of neoadjuvant CT for BR disease (94.4%), with surgery in 50% of them, and its results (OS 30.8 months;95% CI 10.5 - 51.2) reflected current controversies of treatment recommendations and evolution in this scenario. Paliative CT with or without radiotherapy was the standard specific treatment in LAU disease (95.1%) with survival results (PFS: 10.8 months;95% CI 8.8 - 12.7. OS: 20.3 months;95% CI 13.5 - 27.2) that justify the distinct character and the specific study of this entity. Conclusion: RWE for localized pancreatic cancer aroused from the analysis of this population confirms the distinct nature of patients assisted in daily practice, as well as mirrors the complexity of decision making in clinical assumptions in which a
