Traffic accidents are one of the most serious problems worldwide,being one of the leading causes of death and economic loss in the ***-and middle-income countries,mainly their medium-sized cities,are among the most affected by this problem.93%of traffic accidents occur in low and middle-income countries,even though these countries have approximately 60%of the world’s *** occurs mainly because in these types of countries,especially in medium-sized cities(target context),there are no ideal conditions for driving,such as adequate road infrastructure,good condition of vehicles,and rigorous safety *** data analysis techniques including machine learning(ML)have increasingly been used to solve this *** driving(nD)can be applied as a data collection method that provides information on traffic *** commonly uses a vehicle’s kinematic data to detect high-risk driving behaviors that could cause an *** objectives of this document are to present a review of different alternatives that help in data collection and creation of intelligent solutions related to detection of possible traffic accidents,principally using nD;and to propose an intelligent collision risk detection system(ICRDS)for identification of areas with a high probability of TA in the target *** the review,it was possible to analyze and evaluate the devices,variables and algorithms that help characterize a risk event in driving,considering the target *** development of a prototype of an ICRDS for a medium-sized city in a developing country is considered viable,considering the identified components,with the aim of identifying risk events in driving,and areas of high probability of accidents in the city.

Clinical Evaluation of Fluido Compact<sup>®</sup>: A new Intravenous Fluid Warmer

Unintended peri-operative hypothermia is very common in surgical patients and is associated with adverse outcomes. Perioperative use of forced-air and intravenous fluid warmers is recommended for hypothermia prevention. This study evaluated the ease of use of Fluido? Compact, a new fluid warming device, and its ability to help as part of the intraoperative patient temperature management. It was used in 36 patients undergoing scheduled surgery at risk of hypothermia under regional, general or combined anesthesia, of more than one hour duration and with a predicted intravenous fluid administration of at least 1000 ml. The fluid warmer is very easy to set up. The disposable cassette has a very low (3 ml) priming volume and it is easy to handle and to place inside the warming module. Once connected to the main power outlet, it is ready to deliver fluid at target temperature in just a few seconds. Control panel is intuitive, and the one button operation system makes it safe and convenient. The combination of peri-operative patient surface warming with Mistral?-Air forced-air warming system and intravenous fluid warming with Fluido? Compact, that allowed the administration of IV perfusions at body temperature at the rate needed thus avoiding heat loss, helps to maintain intraoperative core temperature between 36.4°C and 36.8°C. A group of patients undergo a variety of surgical procedures with neuraxial, general or combined epidural-general anesthesia.

AIM To investigate the main current etiologies of cirrhosis in *** We performed a cross-sectional retrospective multicenter study that included eight hospitals in different areas of Mexico. These hospitals provide health care to people of diverse social classes. The inclusion criteria were a histological, clinical, biochemical, endoscopic, or imaging diagnosis of liver cirrhosis. Data were obtained during a 5-year period(January 2012-december 2017). RESULTS A total of 1210 patients were included. The mean age was 62.5 years(SD = 12.1), and the percentages of men and women were similar(52.0% vs 48.0%). The most frequent causes of liver cirrhosis were hepatitis C virus(HCV)(36.2%), alcoholic liver disease(ALD)(31.2%), and nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(23.2%), and the least frequent were hepatitis B virus(1.1%), autoimmune disorders(7.3%), and other conditions(1.0%).COnCLUSIOn HCV and ALD are the most frequent causes of cirrhosis in Mexico. However, we note that non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(nAFLD) as an etiology of cirrhosis increased by 100% compared with the rate noted previously. We conclude that nAFLD will soon become one of the most frequent etiologies of liver cirrhosis in Mexico.

We study the relaxation limit for the Aw-Rascle system of traffic flow. For this we apply the theory of invariant regions and the compensated compactness method to get global existence of Cauchy problem for a particular Aw-Rascle system with source, where the source is the relaxation term, and we show the convergence of this solutions to the equilibrium state.

Copolymer-1（Cop-1） is a peptide with immunomodulatory properties, approved by the Food and Drug Administration of United States in the treatment of multiple sclerosis. Cop-1 has been shown to exert neuroprotective effects and induce neurogenesis in cerebral ischemia models. nevertheless, the mechanism involved in the neurogenic action of this compound remains unknown. The choroid plexus（CP） is a network of cells that constitute the interphase between the immune and central nervous systems, with the ability to mediate neurogenesis through the release of cytokines and growth factors. Therefore, the CP could play a role in Cop-1-induced neurogenesis. In order to determine the participation of the CP in the induction of neurogenesis after Cop-1 immunization, we evaluated the gene expression of various growth factors（brain-derived neurotrophic factor, insulin-like growth factor 1, neurotrophin-3） and cytokines（tumor necrosis factor alpha, interferon-gamma, interleukin-4（IL-4）, IL-10 and IL-17）, in the CP at 14 days after ischemia. Furthermore, we analyzed the correlation between the expression of these genes and neurogenesis. Our results showed that Cop-1 was capable of stimulating an upregulation in the expression of the genes encoding for brain-derived neurotrophic factor, insulin-like growth factor 1, neurotrophin-3 and IL-10 in the CP, which correlated with an increase in neurogenesis in the subventricular and subgranular zone. As well, we observed a downregulation of IL-17 gene expression. This study demonstrates the effect of Cop-1 on the expression of growth factors and IL-10 in the CP, in the same way, presents a possible mechanism involved in the neurogenic effect of Cop-1.
