The rate of elapsed polymerization of polyhydroxyethylacrylate in gelatin has been studied to investigate the effect of co-monomers consumption at a given dose. The polymer gel dosimeters consisted of 2%～4% N,N-methyelene-bis-acrylamide cross-linker,2%～4% 2-hydroxyethylacrylate monomer and gelatin at 3% and 5%. The dosimeters were irradiated by using 60Co teletherapy γ-ray source up to 20 Gy at a constant dose rate. The relaxation rate of water proton in the dosimeters at different doses and co-monomer concentrations were measured using a nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy. The rate of elapsed polymerization decreases with increasing the dose and the initial concentration of co-monomers. The rate of consumption of co-monomers increases with an increase of the polymerization and the gelatin content of the polymer gel.

BACKGROUND： Demanding profession has been associated with poor psychological health due to multiple factors such as overworking hours and night shifts. This study is to determine prevalence and associated factors of depression, anxiety and stress among medical officers working at emergency department in Malaysian ***： A cross-sectional study was conducted on 140 emergency department medical officers working at general hospitals from seven Malaysia regions. They were randomly selected and their depression, anxiety and stress level were measured by the 21-item Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale. RESULTS： The highest prevalence was anxiety （28.6%） followed by depression （10.7%） and stress （7.9%）. Depression, anxiety and stress between seven hospitals were not significantly different （P〉0.05）. Male medical officers significantly experienced more anxiety symptoms than female medical officers （P=0.0022）, however depression and stress symptoms between male and female medical officers were not signi？ cantly different （P〉0.05）. Depression, anxiety and stress were not associated with age, working experience, ethnicity, marital status, number of shifts and type of system adopted in different hospitals （P〉0.05）. CONCLUSION： The prevalence of anxiety was high, whereas for depression and stress were considerably low. Gender was the only factor significantly associated with anxiety. Other factors were not associated with depression, anxiety and stress. Future research should aim to gain better understanding on unique factors that affect female and male medical officers’ anxiety level in emergency setting, thus guide authorities to chart strategic plans to remedy this condition.

While the use of three-dimensional (3D) geographical information system (GIS) is becoming in rapid development and being used in various fields such as urban and regional planning, disaster management and planning, mobile navigation and etc., commercial and open source GIS software packages tend to offer 3D-GIS functionalities for their products. On the basis, GIS analysis functions are to provide information with respect to geographical location and by having 3D spatial data as an input, it will give advantages in providing horizontal position information. However, to analyze moving objects (temporal) in 3D seems not an easy task and not fully supported by current GIS platform packages. Previously in two-dimensional (2D) GIS practice, main issue addressed by researchers in managing temporal spatial objects is GIS packages were designed based on hardware and software constraints whereby it should be based on the temporal spatial objects ontology. Nowadays, the trend of managing temporal 3D data is via 3D spatial simulation or animation. This approach will not in assistance for GIS users in conducting spatial queries. Without having a suitable ontology and valid topological data structure for temporal 3D data, it will cause repetitive of temporal data (redundancy) and complications in executing spatial analysis in 3D environment. Therefore this paper focuses on the ontology for managing moving 3D spatial objects (i.e. air pollution, flood). The characteristics of moving objects were reviewed thoroughly by categorizing it based on its different appearances. Moreover, existing methods in managing temporal database were addressed and discussed for its practicalities. Another important aspect in managing temporal 3D objects is the implementation of topological data structures for 3D spatial objects were reviewed. The Cretaceous of Afghanistan is marked by great facies diversity. The evolution of Cretaceous basins is part of a complex accretionary history involving three distinct tectonic units namely the Asian ( Russian) Block separated from the Indian plate by a rather well defined transcurrent fault (Chaman-Nuski). The southwestern component is represented by the Iran-Afghanistan plate. The Lower Cretaceous of the Asian Block is represented by the Red-Grit Series which is conformable to the underlying Upper Jurassic sequences. The transition is marked by evaporitic facies dominated by salt, gypsum and marl deposits. In south Afghanistan volcanic rocks occur at Farah, with the emplacement of plutonics in west-central Afghanistan. The Upper Cretaceous of north Afghanistan is marked by richly fossiliferous, limestone-domi-nated sequences. The Upper Cretaceous of southern Afghanistan is marked by strong ophiolitic magmatism.

A new type of calcium-based regenerable carbon dioxide （CO_2） sorbent, CaO-NiO, was synthesized via the sol-gel method. The as synthesized CO_2 sorbent was in the form of nanoparticles. The CO_2 sorption temperature and capacity of the sorbent were examined using thermogravi- metric analysis （TGA）. The CaO-NiO sorbent is able to capture CO_2 at a lower sorption temperature （465 ℃） than pure calcium oxide （CaO）（600 ℃）. The role of NiO in the CaO-NiO sorbent in lowering the CO_2 sorption temperature was also investigated. The sorbent was char- acterized by X-ray diffractometer （XRD）, N_2 adsorption-desorption analysis, high resolution transmission electron microscopy （HRTEM） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. CaO and NiO were found to coexist in the sorbent. Neither solid solution nor mixed metal oxide was formed. NiO did not react with CO_2 in the sorption process; but it worked like a catalyst to promote the CaO carbonation reaction. It is suggested that this new CaO-NiO sorbent may have a promising application as an effective CO_2 sorbent with lower energy consumption.

对催乳素和牛卵泡液在水牛卵母细胞体外成熟中的作用进行了探讨.来自屠宰场水牛卵巢的卵母细胞和卵丘细胞复合体,在含体积分数为5%CO2的培养箱中培养24～26h,然后通过体外受精测定其受精和胚胎发育能力.实验1在成熟液中添加1 0μg/mL催乳素(PRL),卵母细胞的囊胚发育比例(12 8%)比对照组(9 1%)高但不显著.实验2添加5%牛卵泡液(BFF),卵母细胞卵裂的比例明显高于对照组,但囊胚形成率则几乎一样;添加1 0μg/mLPRL和5%BFF组卵母细胞卵裂的比例为38 1%,而发育成囊胚阶段的卵母细胞的比例为14%.试验结果表明:添加适宜浓度的BFF和PRL能促进未成熟的水牛卵母细胞体外成熟后的胚胎发育能力.
