In radiology,magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)is an essential diagnostic tool that provides detailed images of a patient’s anatomical and physiological *** is particularly effective for detecting soft tissue ***,radiologists manually interpret these images,which can be labor-intensive and time-consuming due to the vast amount of *** address this challenge,machine learning,and deep learning approaches can be utilized to improve the accuracy and efficiency of anomaly detection in MRI *** manuscript presents the use of the Deep AlexNet50 model for MRI classification with discriminative learning *** are three stages for learning;in the first stage,the whole dataset is used to learn the *** the second stage,some layers of AlexNet50 are frozen with an augmented dataset,and in the third stage,AlexNet50 with an augmented dataset with the augmented *** method used three publicly available MRI classification datasets:Harvard whole brain atlas(HWBA-dataset),the School of Biomedical Engineering of Southern Medical University(SMU-dataset),and The National Institute of Neuroscience and Hospitals brain MRI dataset(NINS-dataset)for *** hyperparameter optimizers lik. Adam,stochastic gradient descent(SGD),Root mean square propagation(RMS prop),Adamax,and AdamW have been used to compare the performance of the learning ***-dataset registers maximum classification *** evaluated the performance of the proposed classification model using several quantitative metrics,achieving an average accuracy of 98%.

Myocardial perfusion imaging(MPI),which uses single-photon emission computed tomography(SPECT),is a well-k.own estimating tool for medical diagnosis,employing the classification of images to show situations in coronary artery disease(CAD).The automatic classification of SPECT images for different techniques has achieved near-optimal accuracy when using convolutional neural network.(CNNs).This paper uses a SPECT classification framework.with three steps:1)Image denoising,2)Attenuation correction,and 3)Image *** denoising is done by a U-Net architecture that ensures effective image *** correction is implemented by a convolution neural network.model that can remove the attenuation that affects the feature extraction process of ***,a novel multi-scale diluted convolution(MSDC)network.is *** merges the features extracted in different scales and mak.s the model learn the features more *** scales of filters with size 3×3 are used to extract *** three steps are compared with state-of-the-art *** proposed denoising architecture ensures a high-quality image with the highest peak.signal-to-noise ratio(PSNR)value of *** proposed classification method is compared with the five different CNN models,and the proposed method ensures better classification with an accuracy of 96%,precision of 87%,sensitivity of 87%,specificity of 89%,and F1-score of 87%.To demonstrate the importance of preprocessing,the classification model was analyzed without denoising and attenuation correction.

Mechanical Properties and Microstructural Evolution of Bulk.UFG Al 2014 Alloy Processed Through Cryorolling and Warm Rolling

Tensile properties, microstructural evolution and fracture toughness of Al 2014 alloy subjected to cryorolling followed by warm rolling (CR + WR) have been investigated in the present study. The solution-treated (ST) Al 2014 alloy is cryorolled followed by warm rolling process at different temperatures (110, 170 and 210 ℃). The mechanical properties and microstructural features of deformed and undeformed Al 2014 alloys were characterised by optical microscopy, transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The CR + WR samples at 170 ℃ showed an improved hardness (179 HV), tensile (UTS 499 MPa, YS 457 MPa) and fracture toughness (k. = 37.49 MPa y/m, k.e = 37.39 MPa √m and J integral = 33.25 k./mm^2) with respect to ST alloy as measured from the tensile and fracture toughness test. The improved mechanical properties of CR + WR alloy are attributed to grain boundary strengthening, combined recovery and recrystallisation, precipitation hardening and dynamic ageing effect during the deformation. The precipitation of metastable spherical phase Al2Cu was responsible for the improved tensile and fracture properties of finegrained Al 2014 alloy observed in the present work.

This paper aims to propose a quality profile of springs of the study area for irrigation. In the present study, fifty-four springs in Almora have been identified from rural as well as urban localities for calculation of irriga- tional water quality parameters during pre-monsoon, monsoon and post-monsoon, 2008. Spring water samples are collected and analyzed for pH, electrical conductivity (EC), total dissolved solids (TDS), Na+ , k. , Ca2+ , Mg2+ , HCO3- , Cl- , and SO42- . Different irrigation quality parameters viz. salinity, sodium adsorption ratio (SAR), soluble sodium percentage (SSP), residual sodium carbonate (RSC), magnesium hazards (MH) and permeability index (PI) are calculated for the evaluation of spring water quality for irrigation purposes. All springs are found excellent to good based on irrigation quality parameters. Based on Wilcox diagram, about 98% of the water resources are grouped as C1S1 (low-low) and C2S1 (medium-low) classes, so springs are suitable for normal irrigation.

The foremost Global Positioning System(GPS) derived measurements in the k.maun Himalaya indicate that most of the crustal motion of the Indian plate is accommodating towards the base as well as on the hanging wall of Main Central Thrust(MCT).Deformation pattern within the k.maun Himalaya varies from south to north and indicates maximum deformation rate near *** study,based on the campaign mode GPS survey during 2003- 2006,reveals that the area between north of North Almora Thrust(NAT) and at the base of Great Himalaya registers maximum strain rate,which is lowered towards the Trans Himadri Fault(THF).The GAMIT-GLOBk.processed campaign data of the area show that currently,the Himalayan Frontal Fault(HFF) and Main Boundary Thrust(MBT) are lock.d with the Indian plate,and a 6.7 ± 2.5 mm/yr of horizontal shortening is tak.ng place between the Lesser Himalaya and Peninsular India.

Integrated approach for understanding spatio-temporal changes in forest resource distribution in the central Himalaya

Intense anthropogenic exploitation has altered distribution of forest resources. This change was analyzed using visual interpretation of satellite data of 1979, 1999 and 2009. Field and interactive social surveys were conducted to identify spatial trends in forest degradation and data were mapped on forest cover and land use maps. Perceptions of villagers were compiled in a pictorial representation to understand changes in forest resource distribution in central Himalaya from 1970 to 2010. For- ested areas were subject to degradation and isolation due to loss of con- necting forest stands. Species lik. Lantana camara and Eupatorium adenophorum invaded forest landscapes. Intensity of human pressure differed by forest type and elevation. An integrated approach is needed to monitor forest resource distribution and disturbance.

Simulations of fixed beds having column to particle diameter ratio （D/dp） of 3, 5 and 10 were performed in the creeping, transition and turbulent flow regimes, where Reynolds number （dpVLρL/μL） was varied from 0.1 to 10,000. The deviations from Ergun＇s equation due to the wall effects, which are important in D/dp 〈 15 beds were well explained by the CFD simulations. Thus, an increase in the pressure drop was observed due to the wall friction in the creeping flow, whereas, in turbulent regime a decrease in the pressure drop was observed due to the channeling near the wall. It was observed that, with an increase in the D/dp ratio, the effect of wall on drag coefficient decreases and drag coefficient nearly approaches to Ergun＇s equation. The predicted drag coefficient values were in agreement with the experimental results reported in the literature, in creeping flow regime, whereas in turbulent flow the difference was within 10-15%.

Blumgart's technique of pancreaticojejunostomy: Analysis of safety and outcomes

Back.round: Blumgart's pancreaticojejunostomy(PJ) has been described with low pancreatic leak.rates. This study aimed to evaluate our experience with this technique regarding the pancreatic leak.and other perioperative outcomes. Methods: We performed a single-center retrospective analysis of a cohort of 81 patients who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy in our department from January 2011 to February 2018. The primary endpoint was the occurrence of a clinically relevant postoperative pancreatic fistula(CR-POPF) and analysis of its risk.factors. Results: The CR-POPF rate was 12.3%. Fistula risk.score(FRS) was the only significant risk.factor for the occurrence of overall POPF in multivariate analysis. However, none of the other factors including FRS was found to be significantly associated with CR-POPF risk. A strong positive correlation was found between the CR-POPF and the incidence of delayed gastric emptying, post-pancreatectomy hemorrhage and increased length of hospital stay. Conclusion: Blumgart's technique is a safe technique of pancreatico-enteric anastomosis with low rates of CR-POPF. CR-POPF with this technique is independent of most of the preoperative and intraoperative factors. Therefore, this technique can be used for all types of the pancreas with consistently good results.

Structural characterization of carboxyl cellulose nanofibers extracted from underutilized sources

Two different chemical methods, TEMPO-oxidation and nitro-oxidation, were used to extract carboxyl cellulose nanofibers(CNFs) from non-wood biomass sources(i.e., jute, soft and hard spinifex grasses). The combined TEMPO-oxidation and homogenization approach was very efficient to produce CNFs from the cellulose component of biomass;however, the nitrooxidation method was also found to be effective to extract CNFs directly from raw biomass even without mechanical *** effect of these two methods on the resulting cross-section dimensions of CNFs was investigated by solution small-angle Xray scattering(SAXS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and atomic force microscopy(AFM). The UV-Vis spectroscopic data from 0.1 wt% TEMPO-oxidized nanofiber(TOCNF) and nitro-oxidized nanofiber(NOCNF) suspensions showed that TOCNF had the highest transparency(> 95%) because of better dispersion, resulted from the highest carboxylate content(1.2 mmol/g). The consistent scattering and microscopic results indicated that TOCNFs from jute and spinifex grasses possessed rectangular cross-sections, while NOCNFs exhibited near square cross-sections. This study revealed that different oxidation methods can result in different degrees of biomass exfoliation and different CNF morphology.
