The current article discusses the heat transfer characteristics of ferromagnetic liquid over an elastic surface with the thermal radiation and non-Fourier heat *** most of the existing studies,the heat flux is considered as constant,but whereas we incorporated the non-Fourier flux to get the exact performance of the ***,we excluded the PWT and PHF cases to control the boundary layer of the *** governing equations related to our contemplate are changed into non-linear ordinary differential equations(ODE’s)by utilizing appropriate similarity changes,which are at the point enlightened by Runge–kutta based shooting *** equations are broken down concerning boundary conditions and to be explained prescribed wall temperature(PWT)and prescribed heat flux(PHF)*** impacts of diverse non-dimensional physical parameters on velocity and temperature profiles are laid out ***,the assortment of skin friction and local Nusselt number for both PWT and PHF cases for various assessments of non-dimensional parameters have been sorted *** the wrap-up of the examination,we suspect that the friction factor coefficient is higher in the PWT case compared to the PHF *** result helps to conclude that the flux conditions are useful for cooling applications.

Laboratory experiments on longitudinal dispersion in clear-water and sediment-laden open channel flows are reported. Data from these experiments and those available from previous studies indicate that the suspended sediment present in the flow affects the longitudinal dispersion process. The observed velocity distributions over the depth of sediment-laden flows indicate that the velocity deviates from the mean velocity more in sediment-laden flows than in clear-water flows. The velocity distributions over the cross section and secondary flow in the channel are also expected to be altered due to the presence of suspended sediments in the flow. For these reasons, more dispersion is found in sediment-laden flows than in corresponding clear-water flows. A predictor for the dispersion coefficient in sediment-laden flows is proposed.

Expert scientific knowledge is fast becoming an integral part of disaster management, and, in the process, is changing the role of science for the reduction of disaster risks at the policy level. Yet science and policy operate in different domains between which there are often competing interests and modes of valuing knowledge. Based on research done as part of the research project Enhancing Synergies for Disaster Prevention in the European Union(ESPREssO), we discuss three major issues facing European Union member states with respect to the interface between science and policy for disaster risk reduction:knowledge transfer, disaster expertise, and risk *** doing so, we hone in on three gaps: an epistemological gap, an institutional gap, and a strategic gap. We argue that these gaps can help explain underlying systematic challenges for the integration between science and policy for disaster risk reduction. These gaps need to be addressed by focusing on changes at the governance level.

Composite solid propellant is prepared using tri-modal Ammonium perchlorate(AP)containing coarse,fine and ultrafine fractions of AP with average particle size(APS)340,40 and 5 mm respectively,in various compositions and their rheological,mechanical and burn rate characteristics are *** optimum combination of AP coarse to fine to ultrafine weight fraction was obtained by testing of series of propellant samples by varying the AP fractions at fixed solid *** concentration of aluminium was maintained constant throughout the experiments for ballistics *** propellant formulation prepared using AP with coarse to fine to ultrafine ratio of 67:24:9 has lowest viscosity for the propellant paste and highest tensile strength due to dense packing as supported by the literature.A minimum modulus value was also observed at 9 wt.%of ultrafine AP concentration indicates the maximum solids packing density at this ratio of AP *** burn rate is evaluated at different pressures to obtain pressure *** of ultrafine fraction of AP in propellant increased burn rate without adversely affecting the pressure *** solid loading propellants are prepared by increased AP concentration from 67 to 71 wt.%using AP with coarse to fine to ultrafine ratio of67:24:*** solid content up to 89 wt.%was achieved and hence increased solid motor *** unloading viscosity showed a trend with increased AP content and the propellant couldn't able to cast beyond 71 wt.%of *** properties were also studied and from the experiments noticed that%elongation decreased with increased AP content from 67 to 71 wt.%,whereas tensile strength and modulus *** rate increased with increased AP content and observed that pressure exponent also increased and it is high for the propellant containing with 71 wt.%of AP due to increased oxidiser to fuel *** composite solid propellant is prepared by using burn rate modifie

Objective:To highlight the nephroprotective activity of ethyl acetate extract of dried flowers of Tecomu stans for its protective effects on genlamicin-induced nephrotoxicity in albino rats. Methods:For studying acute toxicity study,single oral dose of 5（kM） mg ethyl acetate floral extract/kg hodv weight was administered to albino rats（five females,five males）.Nephrotoxicity was induced in albino rats by intraperitoneal administration of gentamicin 80 mg/kg/day for eight *** of concurrent administration of ethyl acetate floral extract of Tecoma stans at a dose of 100.200 and 300 mg/kg/day given by oral mute was determined using serum creatinine,serum uric acid,blood urea nitrogen and serum urea as indicators of kidney *** study groups contained six rats in each *** nephrotoxicity of gentamicin is known to involve induction of oxidative stress,in vitro antioxidant aclivity and free radical-scavenging activity of this extract was also ***:For acute toxicity testing both female and male rats administered with the extract at a dose of 5 000 mg/*** results showed no toxicity in terms of general behavior change,mortality,or change in gross appearance of internal organs(LD50>5 000 mg/kg). It was observed that the ethyl acetate floral extract of Tecoma stans significantly protected rat kidneys from gentamicin-induced histopathological ***-induced glomerular congestion,peritubular and blood vessel congestion,epithelial desquamation,accumulation ol inflamnialoiy cells and necrosis of the kidney cells were found to be reduced in the groups receiving the ethyl acetate floral extract of Tecoma starts along with gentamicin in a dose dependent *** floral extract also reduced the gentamicin-induced increase in serum creatinine,serum uric acid,blood urea nitrogen and serum urea levels（P>0.01）.Conclusions: The present study indicates a verv important role of reactive oxygen species（BOS） and the relation to re

The aim of the present work is to evaluate proton exchange membrane(PEM) fuel cell performance with a modified serpentine flow field with right angle turn by numerical modeling. A 3-D PEM fuel cell model of size 50 cm^(2) active area is developed. A conventional serpentine flow field is modified and the same is considered for the supply of reactants. Computational fluid dynamics(CFD) based simulations were conducted to analyse the pressure drop, distribution of reactants(H_(2) and O_(2)), liquid water activity, current flux density and water content in the membrane. From the simulation results, polarization curve is drawn to validate the literature data of PEMFC with the conventional serpentine flow field. Comparison of simulated polarization curve with literature data revealed that modified serpentine flow field performance is better than conventional serpentine flow field as it offers better water exclusion and uniform sharing of reactants. From this study, it is concluded that model of flow field pattern influences the functioning of fuel cell and utmost care must take while selecting a pattern for flow field of PEM fuel cell.
