Metadata are the information about and description of *** Digital Earth,metadata become variant and heterogeneous with many *** paper studies uncertain features in the generation and application of metadata,and two types of uncertainties(incomplete and imprecise)are described based on semantic quantitative measurement method semantic relationship quantitative measurement based on possibilistic logic and probability statistic(SRQ-PP).Moreover,in the case study,we apply two types of quantitative measurements based on SRQ-PP to describe incomplete(uncertain)knowledge and imprecise(vague)information separately in spatial data service retrieval,which in turn is helpful to identify additional potential data resources and provide a quantitative analysis of the results.

Projected changes in weather parameters, mainly temperature and rainfall, have already started to show their effect on agricultural production. To cope with the changing scenarios, adoption of appropriate management strategies is of paramount importance. A study was undertaken to evaluate the most appropriate combination of sowing date and phosphorus fertilization level for peanut crops grown in sandy loam soil in a subhumid region of eastern India. Field experiments were conducted during the summer seasons of 2012 and 2013 on peanut crops at the farm of the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. The DSSAT v4.5 CROPGRO-Peanut model was used to predict the phenology, growth, and yield of peanut crop under combinations of four sowing dates and four phosphorus fertilization levels. The model was calibrated with a 2012 dataset of growth, phenology, and yield parameters for estimating the genetic coefficients of cultivar TMV-2 and was validated with a 2013 dataset of the same parameters. Simulations of pod yield and other yield parameters using the calibrated model were found to be quite accurate. The model was able to reasonably simulate pod yield and final biomass with low normalized root mean square error (RMSE_n), low absolute root mean square error (RMSE_a) and high coefficient of determination (R^2> 0.7) over a wide range of sowing dates and different phosphorus fertilization levels sensitivity analysis indicated that sowing from the second week of January to the end of February with 30–50 kg P_2O_5 ha^(-1)would give the highest pod yield.

Dear Editor, The structure of eukaryotic promoter is modular, consisting of different sub-domains （Benfey et al., 1990）. Cross-talk among these sub-domains and effective combinatorial interac- tions between the specific cis-element/s with respective trans- factor/s usually control the strength and tissue specificity of the promoter. Further, specificity/inducibility of promoter can be modified by altering its genetic architecture through ＇cis-rearrangement＇（Rushton et al., 2002） and ＇swapping of sub-domains＇（Bhullar et al., 2003）. The paper seeks to examine the cultural aspects of the two initiatives to justify the fact that enhancing cultural connections is a two way process and would certainly enable both civilizations to learn from each other. B&R's people-to-people bond strategy and Mausam's initiative to revive cultural linkages are not contradictory in nature but supplement each other. In the backdrop of Doklam Stand-off, the shaken mutual trust between the two neighbors can be healed by further increasing cultural and people-to-people contacts.

Japanese Encephalitis(JE)is a zoonotic mosquito-borne viral disease that primarily affects young children under the age of 15[1].Annually,there are more than 50000 clinical cases and JE causes over 10000 fatalities globally[1].In Japan,South Korea,China and Thailand,where it is now under control or almost entirely eradicated,the disease was initially noted to have a high incidence[1].Later,it expanded to Nepal and India,becoming a serious public health issue in rural regions[1].JE is a flavivirus-based neglected tropical disease that is spread by culicine mosquitoes of the Culex(Cx.)tritaeniorhynchus and *** species[2].
